- Madden NFL 20 is a bad game and has a lot of issues. I tried to fit them all in this video. If you can think of any more, comment below. Glitches, bugs, gameplays sucks, the game is just awful. Probably my last “Madden is bad” video for a while, I’m getting sick of talking about this over and over lol.

The best is when you call a time-out under two minutes trying to save som clock and the announcer goes “woah wait a second they are gonna call a time-out here!!” So stupid

Lol, yeah that's pretty bad, I had an announcer say they didn't trust the kicker when they had like 45 seconds on like 2nd down before halftime at the other 15 or so, they make no sense

My inability to pick up a fumble has cost me 2 controllers.
I know this is, in my opinion, one of the worst bugs in the game.

Kicked an onside and 5 of my players couldn’t even pick it up, but the opposing team comes up and picks it up like it’s a sitting duck

The lack of customization in franchise mode kills me. In 2k, I get to choose a set list if about 50+ cities, design or download a custom logo, name the team however I want, design the court, select the features of the stadium like the jumbotron and sound effects, create 3 jerseys with an insane number of options with stripes and fonts, and then afterwards I can jump into a fantasy draft and take over from there. If madden's franchise mode was anything like 2k's, we would all flip out.
MLB the show is the same way. You can draw a logo choose a city from a list of 400+ cities, you can choose any stadium before the game, you can customize your uniform colors
Robert hinton jr he points that out in the video guy. There’s a reason and it’s because madden is the only nfl football game on the market. If I was to stop buying the games because I know it’s nothing but a $60 roster update nothing changes. There are still going to be kids spending hundreds of dollars on mut and my lack of one purchase is incredibly insignificant. So all that’s doing is keeping me from at least being able to play with the new players and the very few new features madden sometimes adds.
Whats sad is the show and 2k have the same amount of time to make a game as madden, yet the show and 2k manage to have a fantastic franchise and career mode each year, whereas madden doesn't do shit, and that's real fucking sad

I just got a “frustrated running back” report from saquan Barkley saying how he feels left out of the offense.. my team is 10-1 and he has 1400 yards and 13 tds through 11 games !!!! Why would he say he’s frustrated and being left out of the offense??? This game sucks so bad !!!

Theo Heinle I didn’t like Madden 09 as much as let’s say 06, 07, 08, The holy trinity of Madden games. But even 09 and 10 are better than the hot garbage I see nowadays. I haven’t bought Madden since I tried playing Madden 15 at a friends house and it was so bulky and slow and completely different that I haven’t bought once since.

Robert hinton jr You should consider the fact that there is no alternate or competitor football game to madden. I’ll let you know i haven’t bought a single football game since last gen before madden 20. Before everything was based around ultimate team pay to win bullshit. They simply don’t make sports games the way they used to nowadays, and people only still buy these games because they love football.

the one feature I would go crazy mad over is yeah you spend all the money on ultimate team but the following year it doesn't even carry over, like what the fuck???? would be so fucking pissed about that all the money that you just put into the game is worthless because you have to start over the following year in the year after, in the year after, that is crazy, even MLB the show has progress that carries over to the next game. I don't like NFL enough to buy the game but if I did like the game that would piss me off the most
@Robert hinton jr I stopped at madden 08 I still have my ps2. I grew up on madden 08 so i was used to seeing more features in sports games that's why when I saw madden 13 I never bought anything until 19. I bought 19 when it was on sale just to see how madden was doing and turns out it's still trash which is sad becuase they could make a good game easily. EA has more than enough resources to make a good football game and it's best shown when softdrinktv brings up the migos and superstar ko mode. They had new rules, new players, new field designs and new announcers but they refuse to update franchise and presentation which doesn't even require as much work as the migos and superstar ko did. It's true madden fans bring this on themselves because usually they hold on to hope that the next game will be great so they keep buying the game each year and they need to stop because that's letting EA know that they're winning the battle. Money speaks volumes in this day and age so madden fans need stop buying the game if they want it to have the chance of being good again. Sorry if it's long.
People need to understand that just because you don't have the newest game out there it doesn't mean that you aren't a madden fan it just means that you know what the game should be.

If you have a Xbox 360 or PS3 go play APF 2K8 a game that doesn’t have the NFL license but includes the greatest football players of all time gameplay is realistic and fun but can be hard at first.
I’m almost 13 and I got into this game and bought into it. I got every game since Madden 16 but after I got 20, I realized that it was not a good game for reason said in the video, I’d play 2k or old Madden games, I have Madden 07 and NCAA 14 so I’ll play that those are really good games

If ok for Madden to be flawed but not as flawed as it's rip off NBA all-star jam (superstar ko) or as it's retarded tip drills, but instead of ea fixing these flaws they just sweep it under a metaphorical rug with a new fancy game mode and act like it wasn't there in the first place. 1 if the AI CB presses your Receivers no one gets open deep even if you have Tyreek Hill 1v1 against the worst CB in the game
2 AI gets dumber every year they will literally step out of bounds in the endzone
3 the defense is 100 times faster then your offense and when your Receivers get wide open the Defender will dive 10 yards and make a super hero play
4 offensive line still has a stroke when trying to block
5 I hate how these clowns think that these features that used to be in the game are new.

Absolutely! I went and drove 100 miles to a game stop in the state I'm in and overpaid (literally $70, which was more then it was new) just to have a great football game back again. Best overspend I ever performed. Just wish they hadn't disabled Team Builder.

Brandon Jacks totally agree. The NFL needs to open up the licensing agreement and make some real competition. I’m to blame slightly too because I buy the game every year hoping it will be better and I’m always disappointed. This year for sure I’m waiting. If it’s not better I ain’t buying it. I’m a franchise guy and they straight up ignore that part of the game every year. If they got rid of ultimate team they’d also be forced to put more recourses into franchise and all that. Not just the money grabbers. I’m all for company’s making money and it’s well within there right to do so I just don’t agree with how they do it.
I only ran one play during a franchise season (can’t remember the name) I threw it to the same tight end every play 1 in every 10 plays the cpu would cover him I only played about 6 games the entire season and simmed the rest and the tight end ended up with 6000 yards and 50tds
I created a 7 foot 300 pound running back for fun and got almost 70,000 rushing yards in one season from running the same stretch play every play

The crazy thing is, I’ve played MLB the Show for the last few months and have a 96 overall team, haven’t spent a penny on it. They have crazy good events and moments and just free packs that that allow for people to get a great team without wasting all your money or time, why can’t madden do this?
Matt Tisdell I got into The Show this season, easily the best card game experience. I haven’t spent a penny on the game and my team is a 97. All the best cards you can get by grinding offline or playing online, not micro transaction bs

Back in my youth I would spend so many hours on a Saturday just simming superstar and franchise modes, getting so far into the careers of drafted players, building dynasties, from August to August. My leagues felt alive, I was having fun. This was Madden 06-08, the golden age for me and Madden. Now, I havent played madden since October. After skipping M18 and M19 I came back for 20, but I think I will never buy again. I'm just not the demographic for this game anymore.

How is it that when I throw a pass to a receiver and get hit, them and the ball go flying 10 feet in the air 🤔

Or the ball will hit the ground and bounce back in a cb hands and be considered and interception
Or how about when you throw the ball to a wide receiver he drops the ball it pops In the air for an unreal interception
or when you throw it behind the line of scrimmage the reciever wont react and will stand there and lose a possesion and will end up fumbling
Or a wide open reciever will have in in hands and the most mild of contact before completing the catch even when jts nowhere near the ball forces a dropped pass

@@florianidschok World of chel, which has 4 difforent game modes some having sub-gamodes, the fact you can play a career as any postion, there aren't any money plays because everything is user based instead of animation based and HUT is check in based instead of pay to win. I have 4 90+ players that go for over 50k (what will get you ~165k) for just checking on for 5 minutes daily. On top of those, the community is small and not toxic. NHL 20 is actually my 2nd favorite game released by EA sports.

I have the diving animation for a superstar ability in my CB Franchise Mode and everytime I dive and pick the ball, my player takes about 3 seconds to get up. I hate this shit

As someone who has logged hundreds of hours on madden 20, I agree with every point made in this video. Skill doesn’t win games, understanding what’s broken about the game and how best to exploit it wins games. This is mistaken for skill, understanding the holes in Ai logic and the cheese plays wins games. Rather than learning football concepts and rewarding those who run the best creative plays, the game rewards stretch runs over and over and over.
The simplest fix to game play would be to program the AI to pattern recognize, simply put if someone lines up in I formation for the 9th play in a row to run stretch, you should have defenders who key in on this and without giving anything away to your opponents you should be able to smash their play simply because it’s being repeated to often.
Another super frustrating point is that their is no player memory, something I have been begging for year after year. Player memory would be for every player in the game, it would work simply like this, if I line up in gun bunch, run verticals and motion the far left receiver out and burn you up the sideline, a common tactical move online, your corners should remember that and the next time I’m in gun bunch and motion the WR they should jump those routes. This would force the user to run a number of plays that looked the same at the snap but are totally different post snap. They should also be rewarded for this, this is what happens in the NFL. If I hit you with 3 post routes in the 1st quarter out of the same formation your safety should jump the post the next time for a pick, if I’m smart however I should have called a post corner, faking to the post before breaking back to the corner. These options should be above players heads pre snap for only you to see, you should be given the ability to decide if you want to allow the memory to take the gamble or not. This would turn the game into the real life chess it should be.

This would make the game a lot worse. It’s on you as a coach of your team to make the adjustment to stop your opponent from running the same route over and over. For example if your opponent sees you are staying in cover 2 coverage and keeps calling a play that has a route that destroys cover 2. You can’t expect the cpu players to play the route just because you have seen him run it 5 times in a row if it is the wrong coverage for the play.You need to change your coverage everything in this game has a counter to it
@@glenndonovan7 Wow. We all know that isn't what's going on here. Some routes and plays work against every coverage, even those that are supposed to logically stop them, which is why people build their entire offense around this glitchy stuff. For example, a lot of people like to come out in tight formation or bunch and run corner routes. There's been so many instances where I would play cover 3 or cover 4, base align and press my corners so that they will be in the spot where the corner is run by the time the ball is thrown. What ends up happening? My opponent throws the ball and the game literally slides my corner out of the way of the receiver to allow a completion.
Madden '19 had this same issue where the game would force a receiver open by sliding the defender out of his zone. Go back and look at the first few videos EA released of Madden 20 gameplay before the game came out. There's a play where Travis Kelce scores from that exact thing I'm talking about. On top of that, we have bs routes like the one where the RB comes out of the backfield and runs like a v-shaped route underneath. No coverage forces the AI to play this properly. You have to user it and if you're opponent is running other B.S behind that, it's going to be an annoying ass 4 quarters.
The only reason this game continually disappoints is because EA has no competitor in the NFL gaming niche. Like he said in the video, games from 10 years ago could get some of this right so why can't EA? When the game came out, the first month was great. No body knew any glitch plays so they had to actually strategize. Now people can be extremely competitive with 3 plays. It's horrible. Madden could be so much better.

I had to abandon my triple option offense I’ve run for the last 4 years due to the QB fumbling issue, it’s taken a lot of the fun out of the game for me.
Marc Prior what playbook do you use that has triple option?
Joe Rutherford I run a shotgun triple option from the spread playbook (pass balanced in MUT). It has two split backfield formations, one has motion triple option, the other has shovel option plus a nice read option play. Some good RPOs aswell. I have also used the pistol playbook to run it out of the full house.
Marc Prior yeah I sometimes go with pistol but I really like using west coast! It has a good amount of read options, rpo’s and good plays in general
Joe Rutherford the new Ravens Heisman package is pretty good. Sub in two HBs, I think it’s the best triple option in the game. You can motion players out on the pass play and make a lot of different formations aswell
bobby myers when did I say I run the same play over and over? The triple option has been at the heart of my offense for 5 years, I have loads of other passing, rushing and option plays I use around it. the fumbling this year if you keep it with your QB is off the charts, not to mention that the QB runs in slow motion up to the LOS with triple options, but not read options, ruins the enjoyment for me. I’ve actually ditched madden altogether and gone back to NCAA 14, way more fun.
I will forever continue to say this when I see videos like this: EA will not stop their bullshit unless people stop buying their product. Even with that mantra, kids are still going to have their parents credit cards to use and EA will thrive off of that UNTIL legal action is pursued. This is a real issue with EA and I believe SOFTDRINK does a great job highlighting the issue. EA specifically targets kids who don't understand the concept of risk & rewards and they disguise gambling with these loot boxes or card packs. In my eyes, as long as it is illegal for kids to gamble in Vegas, it should be illegal to push these gambling mechanics in games, especially when you can not verify age over a video game. The dream is for players to unit and hopefully get legal action involved.
