Thank you for breaking things down. So far you have a video on every question I've had. I play a little screw up a lot. Rinse, lather, repeat. Makes more sense each time. Thanks again
Dude! You are so amazing with explaining minor details that really can make the game cringy if you dont know it. Scrolling through loot with right stick!! Genius!
Thanks for the video! I play on Xbox and appreciate your explanations. Watching all the PC vids they zip around and it's little over my head. I hope that right stick scroll through items works for me too. You're like my college finite math teacher, smooth explanation of what can be a difficult system.
Suuuuuuper helpful! I haven't played PoE since it's initial release on PC. Now that I can lounge in my bed and play on PS4, I wanted to get back into it, but it's kinda scary. You've eased my mind 😉
I m playing Poe for 1 year now and still I don't know how to craft yellow items! I am gonna buy it on ps4 and follow your guides friend!! Keep up with these great videos
Hello @Bullshifter. Why do you identify items before selling? Not saying you shouldn't just trying to understand when to identify and when not to. Also, any recommendations on what items to try to sell to other players via the market vs selling to the vendors? Thanks!
When you identify an item there is a possibilty that you will have specific affixes on your item that with give you different orb shards. It's optional, but with as many scrolls as you'll find in the game you may as well identify for the extra shards as well as the possibility of finding good affixes that may make you want to use the item as opposed to vendoring it.
In regards to the market, you likely won't find these type of items until endgame. Typically a high level item with full connections, good affixes, and 6 sockets will sell. I will likely make a video in the future detailing higher level items, there is a lot to take into consideration. The best way to start would be by comparing your item to items currently up for sale, but until you reach end game and start mapping I wouldn't worry too much about selling items as low level players shouldn't be buying items in the shop anyways (that's not to say they won't though)
@@BullShifter Per the build guide I was following, Totem Templar, around level 30 or so I was supposed to get a BBBR linked item. The hard part is that I had no clue what I was doing or what was a good deal. I bought one on the market for like one Jeweller's Orb but, again, I have no clue if was that a good value. Having some sort of guidance on this subject would be helpful for a lot of new players.
@@BullShifter When I looked it up, prior to actually starting, I heard that unidentified items give Transmutation Shards which make Orb of Transmutation. Identified items however give Shards of Alteration which make Orb of Alteration. That being said, I have no clue what of this is useful for the end game. I think getting a more in depth explanation on the various types of orbs could also be helpful to new players.
@@erikalmen9951 I'll make a video on orbs and mid level items. My next video will be a bit more of an in depth look at gems and support gems and then I'll make one on orbs, their use, and their value. Spending one jewlers orb on an item isn't bad at all if it was necessary for your build midgame. Orbs of alteration reroll affixs on a magic (blue) item and orbs of transmutation upgrade white items to blue. You'll likely want to reroll affixes on blue items more often than upgrading whites to blues. Eventually however you likely won't be dealing with white or blue items unless you have a lot of linked sockets. But if you find a blue item with good sockets you can use a regal orb to upgrade to a rare item. As I'm typing this I realize you are very correct in how useful a guide on this would be.
Uniques will drop randomly off of enemies as you progress through the game. You'll see more as you get further into the game since the enemies will be of higher quality. An orb of chance has a very low chance to upgrade a white item to a unique, some high level vendors may sell uniques, some prophecies will reward uniques as a drop, and there are some high level recipes that can craft specific uniques (I wouldn't recommend this option until you are looking for a specific unique and are well into endgame mapping) The most common chaos orb recipe requires having a full set of unidentifed rare items at lvl 60 or higher, so you won't really be crafting chaos orbs early on (this is based off of my own memory, someone may have found an easier recipe that I'm not aware of). My next video is going to be based on skill gems and the video after will cover vendor recipies that craft each orb. I'm hoping to have them up this weekend. There will be some things I mention in the crafting video that will be different than what I've mentioned in this video since this video is intended for your immediate early game needs before you start storing rare items to vendor higher rarity orbs.
They barrier of entry for this game is aggravating. Everyone says to have a build planned out, so I go to look for a build guide and I feel like I need a guide to understand the guides. Full of terms and slang I don't understand because I have not played the game.
The biggest thing I would pay attention to in build guides is the passive tree and which gems they are using. The passive tree is the biggest one because respecing points in you passive tree is very time consuming if you need to change a lot of your points around. Honestly I would just view the links in the guides that show the passive tree and focus on other parts of the guide after you've put a couple hours into the game and have had a chance to see what gear and gems look like and what they do.

Every piece of information you share a so practical and helpful and I haven't really found it in any other videos thanks a lot buddy
Great videos. This game is so complex but fun!
Don't forget you can use currency on strongboxes/loot boxes in the world. Super helpful to get better gear early on.
Very good point.
Keep up the good work! Thanks man!
Really helpful! Thx.
not sure if i missed it but how do we craft items? or can we only craft items with recipes?
You can craft affixes on your items at your hideout.
Veey astute and detail oriented. I like these tutorials dude! Do you accept requests...? Im kinda stuck... PoE is a ruthless.... Female...
Thank you, I'm always open to suggestions for new videos. If something has a short enough answer I'll also try to answer through the comment section.

Is there a way to swap weapons/seconadary weapon(I saw a vid that its x on pc)on ps4? Thnx.
On your inventory hold r2 and r3 together.
The chaos orbs and recipe for uniques confuse me. What's the best way for a beginner to get uniques fast

Any interest in starting a community for PS4 players?
Absolutely, I'm trimming an upload right now but I'll create one when it finishes. I'll name it BullShifter's Exiles.
Does this only work for PS4?
Should be relevant on Xbox too.
