Another option to feed and water your dog is this. Dig two small holes in the ground, line them with part of one the garbage bags. Put rocks, sticks, or whatever around them to keep the plastic in place. Put water in one side and food in the other. I came up with this while camping with my friend and his dog. It works very well.
here's a quick tip for ya. to open a can without a pop-lid. using no knife or tool. find a flat rock and use that like "sandpaper" and grind the edge of the lid, wont take more than a minute and you can push down on one side of the lid, and pop it open. learned that trick from an old homeless guy :)
The Broken Legacy just because you do drugs and have a troubled life, doesnt mean you cant be an amazing person. Dont be to quick to judge ☺️ but you're welcome. Have a good one ☺️

This does happen sometimes but also do notice he has a camera with a tripod on it so if he intends to leave and return without bringing that camera that point of view isnt necessarily fake

The most honest little video on youtube. It's a no frills, take it or leave it lesson in managing to at least not freeze to death in the wild and that's something we all should know. I like this guy and his great friend Scout and I am truly looking forward to part two, if it's half as good as part one then I will enjoy the buzz of living rough. I did it for years when I was a youngster so this kinda stuff really appeals to me, the exception being that I found myself MANY MANY TIMES in the position of sleeping in abandoned cars and empty houses, old barns, park benches, I hated every second of it, but such is the choices we make when we are younger. The cops always caught up with me in the end so a prison cell was better than an old car with no wheels on it. But yeah Joe, you just send part two asap and I'll be glued to it from start to finish. Stay cool man and stay lucky.
What's the "tick"? English is not my native language + google translate translated it like "to put a check mark", huh.. Haven't heard this word before, sry. >_>
That's alright. What Google gave you was correct, as people "tick" boxes with check marks on a form, for example. A tick is an arachnid parasite that sucks blood by sticking its head into an animal's skin. It often has barbs on its feeding tube so that it can stay latched on without falling off easily. They can vomit their stomach contents when disturbed or during removal, including any blood from whatever it previously drank from, and any blood-borne illnesses it carries, back into the animal it's latched onto. Because of this, they are cause for a lot of concern, as many carry and transmit very dangerous illnesses to animals, including humans. There are many kinds of ticks - dog ticks, black-legged deer ticks, the lone star tick, wood ticks, groundhog ticks, and so on. Black-legged deer ticks are one of the ones that can give humans a wide variety of diseases in North America, particularly Lyme disease, so they are of particular concern. Areas being warmer than usual has allowed ticks to expand their breeding areas, so people are more likely to come into contact with them, as a result. I'm not sure what the word for them would be in your language, but I hope that they're not a threat to you. If they are, I hope this info will help you discover how to protect yourself against them, if you aren't aware already and spend a lot of time outdoors. They're horrible.
Here's the wiki page for ticks for more info. Hopefully it's available in your language. For me, the option to change languages is on the bottom left of the page. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tick

What a great idea, Jamie. Not heavy, but made of heavier cardboard and would be fairly sturdy unless it would get wet and it could tear. Pros and cons. :)
I put my kitchen knives into thin cardboard sheaths like that after I sharpen them. They are practically free, and act as a warning signal for the roommates that the knives are really sharp.
I hope you are feeling better and Scout's cut on nose healed ok. I've been watching your videos and I feel confident to be safe in the woods, thanks. I can't wait til part 2 of your $10 challenge comes out!

Loved your ice fishing video... Being in nature always gives me pure joy... We were always camping, and fishing, thanks to my mom, she kept us teenagers out of a lot of trouble ... We were taught survival skills from my dad at age 6 , valuable information that has carried on throughout our lives... Thanks for a "Awesome" video! And the memories. I hope every teenager, and adult, would learn how to start escaping from the matrix? and find that it is all designed for us to reconnect with nature's riches, and to have a personal relationship with our "Creator " and learn to care for others. ~Blessings to you ~
Christian Cottey that is so true.. and so nice of you to point out the good that can come out from the vlogs such as the ones he does. I grew up camping too, but once our site was set up the adults went their way and kids the other. I'm the only one that has interest in the any of the basics of life. What our foremothers and forefathers did to survive. To this day I live as simple as possible and taught my children as best I could the same to appreciate what was provided for them.
louise cole Yes louise, all we can do is teach them how to live as simple as possible and go back to the old ways as in growing a garden... fishing, and camping. Because it's all designed for us to reconnect with nature and reconnect with our Creator. ~Blessings to You and Yours~
Wow! I just discovered your channel and liking it already. God bless you and Scout, he is so cute. Thank you so much for sharing, thumbs up. I Subscribed and clicked the notifications so I won't miss any upcoming videos. ;) :)
I don't know if it would be a "better" sheath, but an easier sheath might have been to use the plastic the knife came in. Fold or double fold some over the knife and then wrap it in twine tightly.
For anyone interested the rules for this survival challenge are pretty simple! 10 US dollars this does not include taxes so you can go over the 10 but only for the taxes! You will need to be able to submerge your kit in water for 30 seconds without the contents getting wet. You must have something to make a shelter, fire, and some food! I do believe that’s it as I just watched the original video on this challenge! Of all the challenges on social media this is the only one that isn’t stupid!
Your dog was just stoked about the challenge: "Oh boy, oh boy, dollar store survival challenge, dollar sto.... Stick! STICK!!! GIMME STICK!!!!" Still waiting on part 2, though...
Me: (thinking) "Oh nice, he can just cook the soup in the can...wait...why cook it in a bowl when you have the can?" Joe: "A lot of you may be wondering why not just cook the soup in the can...." Me: O_o Joe's a mind reader...
loving your channel tonight on a total binge. if you rolled the log from the inside you gain extra room in your shelter, basically what ever diameter the log is. what you do is so talented you have taught me alot
Could have used some of the plastic packaging for a quicker sheath, if you felt the need for one. Would have spared your blade for other work too, along with saving time and energy.
The first Joe video I ever saw, got me interested in the channel and through that, later also camping and bushcraft. Fond memories seeing this. Way to go Joe.
Thank you for the brilliant idea of the dollar store knive! I went and bought a similar one for €1.22 and it even has a protective thing for the blade! I am using it in the garden now to remove thorns from dead rose branches. Love from the Netherlands, keep well and healthy

I hope every teenager, and adult, would learn how to start escaping from the matrix? and find that it is all designed for us to reconnect with nature's riches, and to have a personal relationship with our
"Creator " and learn to care for others.
To this day I live as simple as possible and taught my children as best I could the same to appreciate what was provided for them.
louise cole
Yes louise, all we can do is teach them how to live as simple as possible and go back to the old ways as in growing a garden... fishing, and camping.
Because it's all designed for us to reconnect with nature and reconnect with our Creator.
~Blessings to You and Yours~

Sorry, about the crazy picture...
It's my son's crazy sense of humor.

This must be a survival MOVIE
This was the first video I ever saw of Joe's. This is where I met both Joe and Scout. Its where I fell in love with Scoots. You are the best boy.
@ 5:33 in the background mid screen left side behind Joe you can see a deer trotting off. @JoeRobinet
Damn you have some good eyes 😂😂
Thx. Yeah, I barely caught it.
thx
eagle eyes man
hahaha :)
Yeah that wood sheath he made was total shit😂
I would have made the sheath out of cardboard from the knife packaging or the from the garbage bag box, and tied it in jute.
Scout is awesome! He just wants to play and be a part of everything you're doing LOL
Stick! STICK!!! GIMME STICK!!!!"
Still waiting on part 2, though...
My favorite part of your channel is Scout
Love seeing a good healthy happy dog. Hes pumped. He knows hes gonna be out for the night.
20:15 oh my gosh he actually took the twine hahaha
Marshall Kell His expression of “oh, of course you just did that,” is awesome!
Penis
Beanos G Imagine being named “Beanos”
Joe I remember you on the TV show Alone, I wish you didn't lose your firestarter XD
WhyEatIt I knew this guy sounded familiar.
Good looking dog to match with a good looking man. Very nice video, thank you for uploading this, my boy.
That dog is the star of this episode :D awesome pup
Me: (thinking) "Oh nice, he can just cook the soup in the can...wait...why cook it in a bowl when you have the can?"
Joe: "A lot of you may be wondering why not just cook the soup in the can...."
Me: O_o Joe's a mind reader...
lol SAME
Nasty shit on the inside of the can to keep it from rusting. Not good to eat.
@@burntguy6813 yea, I get that, because he went on to explain so in the video.
Should be common sense. But I'm glad you now know.
@@burntguy6813 Well, that's why I watch these videos - so that I learn something.

loving your channel tonight on a total binge. if you rolled the log from the inside you gain extra room in your shelter, basically what ever diameter the log is. what you do is so talented you have taught me alot
Joe Robinet as we are Canadians, I think we are allowed about $40 due to the exchange rate. You should be good for a week!
R Johns right!
I'm so glad you got a new buddy named Tripper. I don't know you but felt your pain from Scout. Dogs are more important then humans most the time.
The legend of hobo Joe
Scout is just so absolutely precious, I need me my own dog like that
I love how Scout "helps" you.
Could have used some of the plastic packaging for a quicker sheath, if you felt the need for one. Would have spared your blade for other work too, along with saving time and energy.
I wore a pair of shorts in Illinois when it was winter and fell into a foot of snow it was -8 degrees
BRRRRRRRR!
The first Joe video I ever saw, got me interested in the channel and through that, later also camping and bushcraft. Fond memories seeing this. Way to go Joe.
You should fill a trash bag with grass and that can be your pillow and cut another trash bag open flat and that will be you blanket
StrikerVlogz u can suffocate at night easily if it gets on your mouth or nostrils so don’t even try that

Thank you for the brilliant idea of the dollar store knive! I went and bought a similar one for €1.22 and it even has a protective thing for the blade! I am using it in the garden now to remove thorns from dead rose branches. Love from the Netherlands, keep well and healthy
