As a duck fan, this was a fair breakdown on Oregon.
They had a good drive going to go up by 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter, when Ferguson fumbled.

Isn't Wink Martindale getting old, didn't he Produce the Art Linkletter Show (kids show) in the 1960's ???

Doug, it's okay to back away from Michigan. Yes, anything can still happen, it's only been two games, Texas is a top playoff team probably...but Michigan is not doing anything to inspire confidence at the moment. Michigan came in with a bunch of question marks and so far they are all coming back with bad answers. Even worse, the sure things (defensive line and run game) are not meeting expectations.
I could go on and on about different theories or suppositions as to why any of this happened or what it means (no, none of it involves Connor Stalions) but it's all just a guessing game. As Bill said, it is hindsight to say they should have done this or that in the offseason, but any other move they could have made is also a gamble. Wink has been bad so far...doesn't mean their other options were good. Same with Campbell.
Anyway, I suppose, Doug, your prediction was 9-3 and that's still possible, but you have to figure it looks a lot more challenging now than it did before. Not because they lost to Texas (that was always one of the 3 Ls) but because of *how* they lost (and *how* they beat Fresno).
It's funny that known Michigan hater Bill Landis is the one that actually picked Michigan to go 10-2. He rightly has adjusted that prediction. I also think it's fine and fair for OSU fans to now point and laugh and dance on the grave of Michigan's Big Ten reign. I definitely enjoyed my 3 seasons of doing it and I'm sure it was very sad and frustrating for OSU fans to have to cope. Maybe now that the conference is yours again, you can go back to being satisfied with winning on the field and not have to worry so much about trying to win it with hypotheticals and assertions about counterfactuals. Oregon appears to not be a challenge at the moment so you really only have to worry about Texas or Georgia. Just make sure when you see them in the CFP that it doesn't come down to a field goal attempt...

Any team that can challenge Ohio State the media falls in love with. If a team had a precipitous fall like TTUN the media would be killing then but bc it’s a rival of tOSU they aren’t. Oregon was waayyyyy over hyped.
