Nikola Jokic's BEHIND the BACK pass made Brunson and Hart arguing about their defense..

- Nikola Jokic, two-time NBA MVP, is one of the toughest players to guard in the league. Even when a defender player thinks he's done everything to stop Jokic , he throws one of his impossible assists to his teammates and make an opet shot for them. In the Denver Nuggets x New York Knicks game that was played a few nights ago Nikola Jokic had one of the better assists this season when he passed the ball to Aaron Agordon without looking. Everyone who watched that match was shocked how Jokic made this assist, and how he managed to read where his teammate would be. In one episode of their podcast Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart discussed this situation and put the blame on each other. Hart admitted that Jokic baited him with one look and in the next moment the ball was in the hands of Aaron Gordon.

yeah cuz Jokic is better
Jokic has entire rosters arguing with each other

This clip shows both the greatness of jokic and the incredible chemistry among the knicks...... Now i know why the knicks are so good with only 1 star player
Imagine arguing in every locker rooms after Nuggets game... Joker a menace
If you’re an intelligent basketball player it’s easy to see where it’s going
@@Nyjeezyhe’s hard to stop though I can’t even imagine what it must be like guarding that guy atm
@@Nyjeezysure sure, most nba players are really dumb when it comes to basketball.
@@NyjeezyI guess there ain't many smart players in the league.
@@Nyjeezy It might seem that way, but when you're on the court, it's a whole lot harder to make those kinds of calculated decisions and reads. That's why Jokic is so special, he seems to be just as comfortable thinking on the court as your average smart player feels on the bench.
For most players, you're anticipating passes through sight-lines. 99% of players aren't good enough passers to make those kinds of blind/half-blind reads, and even if you know they are, you can't pay attention to them for long enough to figure out what their intentions are. You have to read the game from a top-down view to anticipate it, and that's a rare skill in a player, much less an offensively-minded guard.
Sometime Jokic is just unstoppable.
You are right!! No matter how hard they try to guard him, he always finds some solution...
Everytime
@@fresshStats👁🌲👁..
Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels and, NAW seem to think otherwise.
@@discowolf25 Yeah, they held Jokic to 32 points,, who is playing through a sprained wrist and a lingering back injury. Or maybe you're talking about how they stifled Jokic into 26/12/9 in last year's playoffs versus Minnesota.
@@discowolf25 Wolves managed to win one game, but Murray injured. Gordon injured. Jokic injured.
I think it was Myles Turner that said Embiid makes you mad at yourself and Jokic makes you mad at your team.
Great quote
JJJ said something similar on PG podcast
Holy sh*t. It really did curve 🤣
Ayooo.
Magnus effect, best passers utilize it often
it was so fast and curvy, good catch from Agordon !
I've accidentally put a weird delayed spin on some of my jumpers multiple times, and ever damn time I'm confused as hell how the fuck I did it haha
@@thunderstar254let me show you some techniques I know with these balls
This is why knicks are killing it right now. They hold each other accountable
i thought it was because of coach Thibs but okay.
@@CoffeeMonster01 Thibs surely is an important part of the fact that they all hold each other accountable. So that doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.
They also lost the Spurs and okc
@@GreaterSocietyacting like Okc is garbage and Brunson wasn’t fouled
Cusse they have hartenstein, the best defensive player this year . Defense is not respected but it add something even if unnoticed.
Jokic is so goated that players wanna pull up the tape live. Wild
What do you think watching film means

Jokic turning podcasts into film sessions 😂
Meanwhile Joker is sitting at his locker looking at horse saddles on eBay.
I don't know why your comment doesn't have more likes. I laughed out loud. Well played sir!
@@ncg4132 "How much to ship to my farm?"
Excellent stuff here. I’ll never forget his disappointment upon hearing of his horse delaying championship parade.
How to stop Jokic in playoffs:
Replace audience with actual horses.
I mean, they've already tried everything else. This at the very least plays to his biggest weakness, lol
:D
When you have an opposing roster arguing about how to guard you, you know you're Goated.
haha, describing a two-time MVP as "arrived" is the dumbest shit
Or you know almost winning four out of the last five MVPs or whatever it is

They ALL did their jobs... that was just a perfect pass. I'm a Nuggets fan, but I was VERY impressed with that Knicks team. Especially, seeing Hartenstein's growth since leaving Denver. Kudos guys.
Ehhh, Jalen's coverage of Aaron was very delayed.
@@TheCriminalViolin The only way to get a step on Gordon there is to know the pass is coming. How was he supposed to expect that?
@@1337slic3 Haha, because that exact situation, positioning and play is a signature of Denver. Nikola & Aaron run this and so many other incidental plays to that one. And, Nikola makes that kind of pass A LOT. But it's not about the pass, as if you do your job correctly and rotate, you're in the right position, and you're with the guy you're actively defending the entire way. No need to know if a pass is coming or not in that situation.
@@TheCriminalViolin that's not the only play that will come out of that setup. He essentially has to flip a coin
@@TheCriminalViolin aaron is also way bigger and stronger
This is actually great chemistry
their incorrect assumption is that "doing your job" equates to stopping Jokic
Indeed
best comment.
The Jokic effect
You can only slow him, you can't stop him, he is literally inevitable!
Rather, it can be said that you cannot speed it up, because it is already doing everything slowly at its own speed, which cannot be influenced.
I hope you’re OK today.
I love how Hartenstein is just laughing at the conversation.
This is such a great Knicks team!
honestly man!
i really really hope they can keep these guys together, fun to watch on and off court.
i mean, this group actually gets people to watch knicks games :O
“And it like curved!” 😂😂😂 0:12 Jokic really be messing with people man 💀
lol he swore it did
I swear it does curve dude lol
It does... pause tho
@@MechanicalheartbeatRPMidk man it looks like it kinda does it’s close though
This had me crying lol😂
When he was calling a dumb*** I started laughing hard
Kinda hard to stop a dude that tall that can pass like that. It's just stupid how accurate and smart he is AND from a birds eye view he's so damn tall
Jokic destroyer of friendships 😂
😂😂😂 You can't stop genius
Too bad that most people commenting here don't realize that Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart (both of the NY Knicks) have been best friends since their Villanova days, and their sense of humor is to rag on each other mercilessly....LOL. It's not uncommon to have Josh Hart jokingly tell the interviewer in post-game interviews after a win, that he had to 'carry' Jalen Brunson all game, or vice versa...🤣🤣. But in this Josh Hart podcast, I love how their teammate Isiah Hartenstein 'stirred the pot', and just sat back in pleasure watching the back-and-forth....LOL
This is the best thing I've seen on TH-cam for ages 😂 💯
We need to appreciate jokic while he’s still in his prime
He just entered his prime.😂
We have been doing that for about four years...
he just turned 29, tf you on about?

@@eyesonthepiescc He’s 29.. he’s been in his prime a while bro. Do you not consider his first mvp season his prime or at least the start??
haha! I love it! Like brothers arguing 😋😚
This is an every game discussion with players from every team
The Joker : "I just did what I do best. I took your little plan and I turned it on itself. "
10 years from now we're still going to be laughing at moments like this! 😂
I imagine these types of conversations happen a lot with Joker's opponents. :-)
Great game for Joker.
Jokic so good make teammates fight each other to shift he blame lmao
The pass was just THAT good 😂
Jokic delivering that emotional damage. Probably even on purpose.
Jokic might be the greatest offensive basketball player in history 🤔 He’s certainly in the discussion..
Guys… stop fighting it’s nobody’s fault. Joker is just unstoppable. 😂
As long as these two remain friends, they will be podcast buddies in the future... or whatever podcast or trend will be at that time.
Hahaha. Love the back and forth. JOKER is the truth!! He is a PROBLEM!
It’s awesome to see three players who are friends. *ESPECIALLY* on the Knicks!
That's why Joker's the best. JJJ said the same thing on PGs pod that his passing makes the defence frustrated and p1ssed off at eachother.
JB and JH are bros and getting frustrated with eachother arguing about it. Imagine teammates who don't get along.
That's why I love watching the game! Just so I can say, did you see that!!!
I think that was Myles Turner, unless JJJ said the same thing too.
@@dontAtMe69420It was both. Myles didn't say on PGs podcast though
What no one is mentioning is that Jokic is sets up at the edge of the lower box to make the defensive read difficult.
its funny to watch guys that have been friends since college bully each other
They'll give Jokic telepathy and say he knows the gameplan before they'll say he's better than them 🤣 that's why he's the Joker.
This is gold! Not only did jokic have teammates arguing against each other he had close friends in the Villanova boys doing so
Made them argue not made them arguing
I absolutely despise the Knicks organization for the already know litany of reasons, but i do love their team. JB has been my boi since the Mavs. Hart has a ton of, well... Heart.
this is priceless 😂😂😂
They will speak stories to their grandchildren how it was to play in en era of the greatest player of all time.
Maybe a bit premature? 1 championship ring so far. I agree he's amazing, but it's a bit early to pronounce him the goat.
Give 3 more rings and 2 more MVPs. West already is stacked af, this generation gets crazier and Jokic just sits on top the mountain.
This fools cant understand that none of them was bad, it was Jok being great, he set that play before they even knew what is
happenening, Nikola is so awesome...
ill never forget this era of basketball as the era where the horse rancher torched the entire league
This is what Myles Turner was saying about guarding Jokic. He make teammates argue cause of the havoc he causes😂😂
i love this content. Would love way more of nba players arguing. Good youtubers discuss coverage, but i want the players and their interpretation of it
we need to have streams like this these guys are entertaining
In a separate podcast, Myles Turner said Jokic dominates in a way that will make you blame your teammates. Spot on. Lol
These guys are a mood
He was so confident that he wasn’t there and then he’s mumbling that he was talking about a different play when shown video proof. 😂
Yall have no idea how jokic brutally mind fcked lebron he thinking about retiring
Brunson didn't counter-rotate to cover Gordon. Not sure about the English term for it, but this is the basic defense principle. Hart called it "helping the helper". But if he did help, then one of the three perimeter players would've been free.
Man, these Knicks can mess around and win a chip! 🏀 🏆
That Jokić loves horses so much makes me love him all the more. He's not just the best player in the NBA, he's a good person.
That real brother argument 😂
This is why they're so great!
@fresshStats I know it's a small thing, but any chance you could consider correct your title description... "Nikola Jokic's BEHIND the BACK pass made Brunson and Hart argue about their defense..."
"arguing", makes it hard/weird to read :(
I had to re-read it a couple times
Sometimes you can do your job and the other guys just make a great play, this was one of those times.
I love this i absolutely love this😂... This how they hold each other accountable its funny but they take it serious and joker wasn't nowhere near the box lol
Joker out here causing fights while he's back home watching horses race
They are so sweet.
This is so funny. U can tell they're just really good friends as well as teammates
Yalls voices have so much bass lol
Its tough to guard a dominant post player who can nail the three and pass like a true pointguard. You can manage a player like that but there isn't really a "solution".
Gordon visited Jokic in Serbia last summer. I am sure that helped their relationship. But, Gordon has been REALLY good lurking along the baseline. I started noticing this about 2 months ago. Yur watching the game and all of a sudden Gordon would appear and yur thinking where the hell did he come from. If you watch him, he just moves near the baseline just waiting for an opening. It makes for some really fun ball to watch.
The most impressive thing about Jokic is as great as he is at the sport, you can tell he doesn't live the sport. He's just really really good at it with his God given talent. ✌🏾✌🏾
They're thinking about jokic, he's thinking about horses and accordion
Was that the best post entry pass ever?
I think Tom Thibodeau should be in this conversation.
Those are my Knicks, hanging out talking about defense 🥹🥹
When they change your way of thinking… 💭 ❤😂
Friendship goals
Like an old married couple. I love it.
you could tell these guys been playing ball together for years, they be getting out all they been holding in since the Villanova days, you already know coach Wright wasn't hearing any of it
I would love to know what Jalen was supposed to do in this scheme that would've stopped Gordon from scoring in this scenario.
Be 6’6
Fight thru whatever the switch was before this that led them to this moment
i like those 2 guys^^
This end the debate. Jokic is clearly the best player in the world. He is definitely better than Giannis. How can you stop Jok? If you double him, he will maximize the scoring output of every player in the floor while Giannis, if you put bodies and wall over him then it ends there. In the clutch, no team fears Giannis, why? He looks like a role player in the floor who depends on dame while Jokic will be so dangerous in this situations, they are worrying what kind of play he'll do.
No need of putting someone down to worship your favorite player, live with gratitude that you got to witness both in the same era, even Jokic doesn't really care about this debate as much you yet nobody cares who you are, recover from hatred
Comparison is just the thief of joy. Does Giannis have to be bad to make Jokic look even greater? They can all just be great in their own ways with no words of degradation.
It is Jokic and Luka very close second
A better comment has never been said. I think Jokic is the best in the NBA but man Giannis is so good bro. A force of nature that one. @@semi6544
here in Denver...Joker is like having John Elway again...
why don't any other bigs hand off the ball at the top? This is a pick and roll but with the big starting with the ball instead of the guard. It's so effective because jokic can just plant himself anywhere and then when he gets the ball, the pick and roll is ALREADY set up instead of seeing if the guard can manuever his way into position for the big to see the pick. Jokic has the ball and is ALREADY setting the pick for whenever the guard wants to come and take the ball. Jokic just turns around and says here you go and the guard now has a head of steam turning the corner and the defense is broken up. Now that guard can make a play or just get it back to jokic and do it again. It's beautiful to watch
Impressed with the Knicks and I'm a Denver fan. If they're healthy they could come out of the East. They play scrappy D -- and seems like they could shock some teams in the playoffs when things slow down and play is more physical.😉
This is actually funny and the kind of player podcast interaction I enjoy watching 😆
Jokic mentally destroys opponents 😂
I feel like this is every team in the nbas locker room discussion when they play joker 😭
I’m dying laughing we need more of this
😂😂😂😂😂 this was hilarious!!!
Nah that pass was crazy
lol you know they friends frfr they argue just like me and my boys lol
That's classic 😂
That’s so good. Lmao😅.
This shit too funny 😂
The only team with a defensive gameplay.
So basically they're BOTH saying that they BOTH did their jobs on defense & Nikola STILL beat dat azz! Dayummm.......
Talking about hoops in their free time... No surprise how JB is finally unleashed from standing in the corner watching Luka play 1v5, to taking the poverty franchise Knicks to the #2 seed all while outplaying his new contract that people thought he was OVERPAID for. As a former mavs fan I love to see it.
