As a canadian, I can confirm. It's fucking loud! I used to work in a grocery store and there was an alarm on everybody's phones (there were about 80 people). The kids in the place started crying, we were covering our ears.
Honestly I think the alarm starts pretty loud but decent and just progressively gets louder

As a Brazilian, I can confirm that this alarm almost never rings, as our country is far from the tectonic plates and t3rr0r1sts are somewhat rare.
