and don't forget about the tilting features. i swaped out my mouse side buttons to tilting, it makes it more fluid . but that's just a preference i like.
@@ChrisTHECOP Be careful not to get tripped on booby traps. I would finish the mission perfectly.... kind of forget there might be traps and just die ruining the whole mission.
does any one know if its room specific? like if all suspects are dead and it changes to search and secure, its only for that room right? not the whole map?
For people who didn’t catch on Chris missed the 911 call in the briefing of someone claiming to be Michael and shot his mother and going to shoot his brother but in reality he was just streaming and playing his game that was the gunshots sounds and as you go in his mother is fine and they’re all caught off guard, turns out he was apparently running that illegal server farm with a few people my guess is somebody watching his stream attempted to do a prank and it went South as they do, PS forgot to say they found the CP he had and that leads to the other missions about CP
look at the computer from michael too the stream reacts to seeing you and if you shoot the webcam they get annoyed lol the entire map also has so many god darn anime reffrences
Hello Chris, I just want to give you an insight how crew system works. Take your time :) starting from 38:05 Main focus 1.) Top row is your active red/blue team. Bottom row is your total members you have in LSPD. ? symbol is empty slot which you can recruit new officer. 2.) To swap officer, click on any top row officer and click on any bottom row officer. 3.) As you can see, you've unlocked "kicker trait" for Robinson. other officers(has lock symbol) have to gain experience by playing in mission to unlock their trait. 4.) There are 4 level of mental health: Content, Anxious, Stressed and High Stressed(Crisis) 4.1) I highly recommend sending high stressed officer to therapy by click at bottom row of that officer and click send to therapy. It will show how many days he will return to duty. 4.2) If you take High Stressed(Crisis) officer with you to do mission. Best case is he will quit LSPD. Worst cases are: -disobey order -commit friendly fire -shoot any cuffed suspect/civilian Additional info 1.) There are total 13 unique officer traits which you can utilize to combine your team efficiency. 2.) Best map to quickly gain your officer experience to unlock trait is 4U gas station. Also best map to quickly fast forward day for any officer in therapy or still in hospital(incapacitated) 3.) Any action you did during mission, has an impact on your squad member mental health such as: killing suspect, civilian(very high impact), Unauthorized use of force. 3.1) If they have enough of your actions, they will disobey your order and will continue the mission by their own. At the end of mission, it'll be high chance they will quit LSPD 4.) If any officer is beyond high stressed at the end of mission, the therapist will intervene and take that officer away. in my case, it's 3 days for that officer 😂 Anyone has more comment to share please comment down below for Chris to enjoy :D
I almost forgot, best way to maintain your team member mental health is less lethal to arrest suspect alive and certain officer trait such as: Pacifer, Moral officer, etc.
Great stuff. Once you get used to controls you'll automatically know what to do and do it much faster. Usually i'd split my guys into two groups (you can do this by moving the scrollwheel on your mouse), you can split them into red and blue teams, then tell them to clear the same room if it has multiple entrances. Much higher chance of suspects surrendering that way. Also, using wedges on doors to prevent suspects flanking or to box them in is VERY helpful. Some other useful advice: - equip all your guys with flashbangs - dont use stingers as they can hurt civillians - gas can be good but then you'd need a gasmask, up to you - after you split your guys, use one group to always cover behind you or left/right - enemies can see flashlights and lasers, if you peak a door with either of them on, they'll panic and shoot you through the door/wall - best thing to do when clearing a room is to tell your guys to clear and flash, if they just clear with no flash, they can get shot at and die real quick - sometimes stack up only one team (red or blue) on a single door stacking 4 people is just asking for a stray bulelt to kill them - when they open and flash, you can throw your own flashbang in a direction you want, as sometimes your friendly AI officer will just toss it in - use optiwand for more situational awareness and to help with the previous tips
@@kevinc.cucumber3697 This is why i said use optiwand. This helps you figure out the layout of the room, and where the suspects are. If you order your team to open the door and flash, they will likely do a reall bad job at throwing it exactly where you need to flash the most. What I like to do is prepare my own flash/gas, and as soon as they open the door I already know where I'm goign to throw it for the best effect.
Great vid as always. A new feature in 1.0 often overlooked is the ability to command surrendered suspects and civilians, look at them and use the command key as you would with officers. You can order them to move to you, move to a specific spot, or tell them to face away from you, drastically reducing the chance they'll pull a secondary weapon on you.
Oh a note on that, if you try to order a suspect and the "Turn Around" Is Greyed out, I'm pretty sure that means the suspect is fake surrendering so he will be unable to be told to turn around.
There's a voice command mod that just takes this game to an entirely different level. being able to issue voice commands to the AI is just sublime, as the AI is actually really good at what it does.
It's not even a mod, it's a seperate program you buy off steam and I was having a great time with it yesterday. After programming my favorite commands, I find the order to "Ram it, Bang it" oddly satisfying.
@@TheChriscrowder The one I use requires the PC's built in speech recognition tech, which improves as you use it. Pretty sure I got the kinks out because it's working smooth as butter for me.
Someone already mentioned this, but I think the server farm is just an optional objective they don't necessarily need to complete. Other than that, awesome job! Keep up the great work!
@@ChrisTHECOP also, there's some things to pick up during missions, like the anime statue in that mission, that is for collection in the evidence room at the police station - you can view them like in Tomb Raider ;)
I agree there’s too many suspects on the map but story wise I would guess the number of suspects is due then being part of the ring responsible for the stuff on the streamers pc and in his bedside drawer.
16:56 Interesting fact: In the Middle Ages, the stairs in castles and fortresses were spiral staircases in clockwise and very narrow as an ultimate way of defense
one of the reasons I love this channel is that you're informative, while letting yourself having fun with zero pretentiousness! You don't act above the audience or gamers because you yourself is one you understand that games exist to give entertainment not giving a one to one simulation.
I think this scenario is meant to teach you to remain alert and suspicious regardless of the briefing intel since it stresses the "one guy" premise then immediately you're facing way more than just one. Still a great job for your first time seeing the map even with the close calls. The controls and technical aspects of gameplay can distract from the tactics you would otherwise be falling back to. It can be hard to notice the brief text prompts on screen that show you can interact with something especially when you remain threat-focused and not collectible doodad focused as they would expect a "gamer" to be.
That, but the lack of information in the briefing is because *the entire call was a lie* The setup of the mission is an instance of “swatting” which is when someone calls the police pretending to be an online entertainer, making wild claims (in this case, Michael, who is the live streamer, killing his mother) The gunfire that can be heard is coming from him playing the game he’s streaming, and his phone would be silenced to prevent interruptions while he’s live - when officers arrive on scene, they discover that he is running an illegal server farm, which he’s hired people to protect, (explaining why he owns 3 apartments, as mentioned in the briefing, and the armed suspects on scene)
Hey Chris! Your perspective as an actual SWAT leader adds a fascinating dimension to your gameplay, and I truly enjoy the insights you share. You might find it helpful to familiarize yourself a bit more with the game's mechanics and controls. I noticed a few moments where understanding certain aspects, like the total slot limit for equipment, could boost your progress. During the briefing, you may want to ensure you catch all the details, like the 2nd floor map and the 911 call audio recording. Additionally, I observed that selecting commands during the mission took some time. Checking out Tacspeak could be beneficial: It's a free voice command add-on specifically configured for RON, and it works seamlessly right out of the box. Consider trimming non-essential video parts, like the extensive searche for secondaries at the end. This way, you can highlight the most relevant and exciting moments for your audience. I wanted to suggest checking out Controlled Pairs Gaming for inspiration. He shares a similar approach, but with a military background. His fluent gameplay mechanics seamlessly complement his explanations. His editing is also on an excellent level. I'm looking forward to more of your content! The SWAT perspective you bring is incredibly interesting, and it'll be intriguing to compare with Controlled Pairs Gaming's military viewpoint. Keep up the great work!
Option 1: Turn on Weapon Outlines (Accessibility) after soft completion to find visually obscured un-secured weapons Option 2: Order your team to Search and Secure each room (They may secure the evidence for you)
There is the Patrol Officer total conversion mod available for this game now. I think even that mod is not an exercise in writing speeding tickets or arresting disorderly college teens for public drunkenness during a peaceful Sunday but all about dangerous patrol officer missions requiring the use of force.
Appreciate the insight into your world. It's always interesting to see Cops and real-world professionals hop into games that simulate their profession. Thank you as well for keeping your community safe!
Be advised some of the upcoming levels will have numerous traps behind doors. You can peek the doors and use your multi tool to disable them. Also the mirror gun is an excellent tool I recommend for the team leader to scout a room before entry. Rotate your stressed team members out with those that aren't while sending them to therapy for a few missions. You can do that from the tablet>roster section. They will resign if stressed too much. Happy to see more of this and thank you for your work as a public servant.
I love your content because you're basically the only or at least active swat member that actually makes videos about the game, as well as breaking it down for us 👍.
Sometimes I get to play this with someone who's currently a SWAT officer. The others are prior-service military. Sometimes we play and the SWAT officer is giving us good tips, other times we respond with pure aggression and he's like "or... that works."
Great run, Chris! Its awesome hearing you talk with your expertise regarding SWAT and Law Enforcement. In terms of tactics, I would have used a gas launcher after C2ing the streamer's apartment door. The gas covers the main room and almost the entire apartment room, except the streamer's room. I probably would have cleared the room on the second floor that you passed on your way up first (but I don't think it's your fault, sincs this mission is a bait and switch). Other than that, great job!
I love to imagine this man getting out of his gear every day, driving home and then arguing weather Tabaxi is a good pick for bard in his nerd cave. I wish my room looked like that.
Hey Chris you can tell your swat to search and secure they will find weapons and civs and then you can look for the soft objectives around the map like that farm for example
It sometimes doesn't work. I've ordered a search and secure after clearing the hotel map but they couldn't find a gun. Got a A+ instead of S because of that one missing gun.
So basically a troll swats a streamer, but ends up accidentally kickstarting a crime ring crackdown. This is in the lines of “task failed successfully”
Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but the point when you couldn't reequip the stinger or take an additional flashbang is because of the loadout point system they have in the game. You choose the heaviest armor, so you can't carry as much. And because you must have recently switched from the standard vest that allows 13 load out point to the heavier vest that only allows 11 loadout points, when you deselected the stinger and C2, you lost those "free"/bugged 2 points and were down to 11/11 loadout points.
I love this type of content! If you could, I would really like to see you layout your plans on the map in the briefing room. The buttons to draw on the map are a bit finnicky, and sometimes the maps aren't the greatest, but I would still love to know your tactics for approaching the scenario as a whole
you should play the game how you wanna play without you showing us your thought process and all that, but after you're done, go into replay mode and *then* walk us through what you were thinking approaching whatever situation you were in. if you're up for it of course. good content man, keep it up.
Regarding the missing stinger grenade from the beginning. Theres a bug where if you switch from light armor (which has 13 slots i believe), to heavy armor (which has 11), you keep the extra slots until you lock yourself out by removing items.
Belated response, but I'm fairly sure he had simply gone from medium to heavy armor, and that lowers how much you can carry. The game just doesn't remove the extra gear when you switch, so he had the extra stinger. Note in the video, after he got rid of the stinger he had exactly 11 individual pieces of gear, hence it didn't let him get it back. Makes me wonder if one can exploit that by going light armor, getting more gear, and switching to heavy.
Whenever you use the move, open, or breach command you can open/breach it yourself with the leader. Or you can throw a bang in after they breach it with a leader command and they will flow in after the munition is thrown
Not sure if someone already mentioned it but if you use Q and E on your keyboard you can lean left and right to clear corners without exposing too much of your body. Great content keep up the good work! Thank you for your service!
Very great to see you playing the series, and you pointing out the differences. I guess in a normal SWAT situation, your team would not be so overwhelmed by swarms of bad guys like it in the game, and having you act with just 5 people lets you feel like the underdog against a much stronger opposition. I also think den bad guys should comply more often if confronted with a swat team in their face.
The game is cool alone, but to see someone who has long standing experience talk the technical parts of real life operations and how these operators would handle it in the real world is awesome as well.
This game would be amazing with voice attack. For those not familiar voice attack allows you to give commands with your voice. So you could say "stack up left side, bang and clear." And the command would be given in game, the NPC's, would then follow the orders.
@@ChrisTHECOP if I remember right voice attack takes a bit of setup to get it working right. So your voice prompts take the place of button presses. If voice attack has downloadable profiles for games this could be pretty easy to setup but if you have to manually bind everything it could be a nightmare too.
I think if you tap Z while looking at an opening, you can tell your team to immediately move and clear the room. What I wish they'd add is an extra command to tell your team to clear short, or at least a command to tell them to stop immediately without opening the command menu so that they don't run all the way down a hallway and expose themselves like running past open doorways.
Edit: I completely overlooked "multiple reports of gunfire from other individuals within the complex" which should have allowed me to assume the potential of multiple armed gunmen The information we have to go off of from our briefing is: - Only one confirmed shooter - Shots fired but believed to be contained within one room, not a roaming active shooter - No communication could be established - Suspects apartment is 14 - Apartments 16, 11, 12 are inhabited by tenants bunkering down or evacuated - No contact with apartments 13 and 15, both of which are also under ownership of the suspect Michael Williams - Unknown which of these apartments the suspect is in - No other known threats at the current time Based on this information and the map of the building, my plan would be as followed: I would have gone with the fire escape just as you did and make your way up to apartment 15 at the top floor. Have my team clear the closed bedroom and bathroom area while I peek out the front door for anyone that we can see from the apartment door way(inside) allowing the ability to keep mostly in cover. With one apartment cleared, I would back the team out the fire escape and drop down a floor into apartment 13 and cleared out that apartment to with the same front door frame peek. This provides us the most amount of cover while clearing 2/3 uncontacted apartments in search of our suspect. From the front door of apartment 13, that we just finished clearing, the team and I can then move out down the hall to apartment 14 with a breach, flash and clear. That just leaves us with clearing out the bottom floor that the patrol units had blocked off.
@@ChrisTHECOP Edit: Completely understandable to miss things when making videos. There are also the 911 calls in the Media section of the briefing section of the tablet. They can certainly help with getting immersed. A buddy I play with couldn't listen to the call anymore, too heartbreaking to him and felt he needs to get in the building yesterday.
So couple things... the briefings are incredibly useful, in this you had a photo of the deceased mother, yet in first room you cleared she's alive and well, hence its a bogus active shooter call. RoN actually does this a lot where the briefing is either not 100% complete or slightly inaccurate. There is a voice attack pack for it, if your struggling with the ai comands. Although (and open to correction) real world SWAT would clear and CID would gather evidence after the fact in this you have to hunt for evidence and tag it as you go, the reason it was a soft complete was due to you missing hardrives. The photos by the bed in were labelled something like 'photos of minors', as it's evidence you can figure out their content and why they are evidence. Ready or not does a lot of context clues like that, and will deal with dark side of the job, you find the photos, you immediately think about where such anindividual would store more... PC and phone with external storage which gives you the inkling to check his rig and set up for more evidence. The missions actually chain together with multiple ongoing investigations and there is additional info on the boards around the various offices so taking a moment after brief to look is always good. Great seeing you play the game and giving a real view on it so thanks. Merry Christmas to you and family as well from across the pond
Hope this helps Chris , The biggest problem I see with anyone playing this game is they don't use walk key enough they run everywhere , if the Ai tangos hear your footsteps when running they will either actively investigate ( why the first tango opened that door ) or shoot through a door\threshold or wall and you lose the advantage , when you walk your silent
@ChrisTHECOP You can also assign a key to the "toggle" version of Walk, that way you only have to press the key once to start/stop walking instead of holding it down nonstop.
Just found your channel bro. The first thing I luv the fact that you're an older gamer like me (hope not to offend), I'm 53 and have been gaming since Pong in the mid-70s. Keep up your great service! From Australia (born in Orange County). 👍
27:30 if you want them to clear on your move you have the option to do that by "move" and then "clear with leader" they will wait for you to do your thing and then go in.
Interesting video. If I remember well, actually these gunshots at start of the mission is a video game sounds (but really loud somehow) and that's why someone called 911 for active shooter. Streamer got swated by his haters. But in the end it turned out that there is actually something criminal going on with him.
Always good to see your Chris and 76K nearing that fable 100K!! U deserve it man, been there from when it was only around a 1K I think actually when you first appeared on Gamemology :)
Were you in the Special Enforcement Bureau? I see you in LAPD uniforms and then LASD SEB BDU's so I was wondering what department you worked for I saw rescue 5 in the background lol
Because of the 4-man (or 5 in single player) only limitation, this game (and other similar games before it) will always feel like a military unit trying to fill the role of SWAT officers. Unless you load up entirely on beanbags to take everyone alive, more often than not, you and your squad will end up looking like tier 1 operators cleaning house. Not even mods that fix the suspect AI can help. That being said, I still really love this game. Maybe one day the devs will fix all the issues that are currently being resolved by community mods.
I'm also curious if the "gunfire" was from the games he was playing, as there didn't seem to be any active shooting threat going on. No bodies laying around or anything.
@@ChrisTHECOP between gunfire and "gunfire" from a game? For sure. The sound profile you'll get from speakers, even really good ones, doesn't replicate the full range of sound, reverberation, echo, etc you'll get from a real gunshot. You don't really hear witnesses claiming they thought someone was watching a movie or playing a game when they heard shots. It's generally they thought they heard fireworks or something. It was just a weird scenario, as it's claimed to be a barricaded suspect/hostage situation, but then you start hearing gunshots, yet find no bodies.
Hi Chris, I'm not familiar with police S.O.P. I was 11b and speaking with the context of BD6 at 22:30 you had eyes on two p.o.w.s (suspects/perps in your context) as your squad was securing the previous room you had security pulled on them but dropped it to clear the blind spots around the corner and couch but you were still actively securing the previous room. I'm curious as to why you didn't hold until your battle could secure the two potential threats and to why you didn't order them to the floor? That said your insight on this was really interesting.
Heads up: there's 3 soft objectives on STREAMER (23 Megabytes). The computer, the server farm, and the photos by his bed. The suspect in this one is a real sick freak.
hello, stress level basically depends on how much suspects you can arrest, instead of outright killing them. Going in with less-lethal weapons will result in a better outcome
love this video. my friend and i play, and both discovered that you can change your teams kit. so now we run 2 tac shields. blue team is nonlethal, and red team lethal. thanks for the video
I definitely would have liked more map "drawn details" or something like that for improved planning of how i want to attack. Some maps seem not updated either, but if possibly maps for sure so I can draw out infiltration/attack details that I can revert to.
-- CBQ tactics? 75AB 2nd SOC. What the hell is CBQ? Just giving you S brother. After the Rangers I was a private contractor. Even though you fellas aren't happy to see us tier one guys when we showed up. Oh boy it's going to be hard not to edit this a bunch. We threw M-67s. Loved the SBRs, but favored HK and DD. And call it a joke, we all rocked Colt 1911, built 38-41. But I'm with you. All operators have the .45 ACP in whatever platform in common. Had a teammate that had a Hi-Point .45 But he just threw it at stuff. Thank you for your service and Merry Christmas. Thumbs up.
Sorry, one more thing. I get if you want to do blind runs, but I'd highly recommend looking up secondary evidence locations for these maps moving forward. The game fails to tell you anything about how many things you're looking for before the mission is considered clear, and knowing where those reportables are would save you a lot of time and headaches without necessarily spoiling the whole mission. Merry Christmas to you, and thank you for your service. Can't wait to see more!
New here, sorry if you’ve already done this but I’d be interested to see you play Door Kickers 2 (top down isometric CQB tactical game) if you already have then I’ll check it out, if not I think you might enjoy it and others would enjoy seeing you play! Thanks Chris!
Haha yeah I was so confused to find all of the other tenants joining in the defense, but then I used some “Head Lore” and figured when I kicked open the 2’nd floor apartment those dudes where defending their illegal server bitcoin farm, and maybe the other dude in the third floor apartment had a warrant and was hiding. Love the videos!
Also explain the uaage of glow sticks, I know you can mark places you’ve been but why on a tourniquet. Also injuries you’d suffer so far how would that have changed plan in middle of op. Priority becomes you? Or hostage still?
@@ChrisTHECOP thanks for info! But would speed of op change and priority of hostage or continue speed to target and just get you out of there in the background?
What was the model of Springfield pistol that you mentioned you didn't like? I kinda get that going from HK to Springfield was a step down but was there something specific that you didn't like on that Springfield pistol?
This game has decent squad ai so you dont always have to take point in clearing corners, like where you got sprayed from 2nd floor early in the mission (happened to me too lol). Someone already explained queueing orders, so I'll just say it becomes almost necessary to split your teams later on, to cover your flanks if nothing else. Really shines for breaching bigger rooms from multiple doors, clearing hallways with multiple doors, ect.
I actualy love the hiring and managing the team aspect of the game. What I don't like is how easily they are anxious and critically stressed. Considering I am as tactical as a doorhandle and usualy have to do a mission at least 2 times, it makes for a very very short career for those officers, since only three can go into therapy for over two missions and you have four cops on your roster. By three missions they are on their breaking point and I need to have finished a couple of more missions befor I can hire extra. So no I am concerned about officers resigning every three missions and that kind of sucks.
@@ChrisTHECOP It's okay the game is designed to be incredibly hard and it must be frustrating to an extent with someone of your experience when you can't do everything you'd naturally would in these scenarios
You weren't able to carry more flashbangs/primary ammo because there's a loadout restriction, there's text above the items list that tells you how many items you can carry. This is done for balancing purposes, as it would reduce the difficulty of the game greatly if you were able to carry anything you want.
I just watched now the most interesting thing that can be happened with this game) Thx so much Chris "Keep it up" (c) PS: Use your guys to clear the rooms often. Sometimes useful to separate them on teams if room not big or has several enters. And yes, they can be stupid, just waiting for enhance AI more))
What do you think about the enemy AI? Are they reacting believable? Personally I feel like they are a bit over aggressive and not quite ready to surrender easily. but idk if that is the same in real life.
The 1.0 update made enemy AI super aggressive with aimbot and shooting through walls. The hotel map is especially horrible, the only way I could beat it was every squad member carrying shields and CS.
i will sir! and no problem man i enjoyed that stream yesterday i hope to see more of that game! be safe out there! idk if ur still doing the cop stuff when off stream so i wish u luck!!! :)@@ChrisTHECOP
Great job great video game. One SWAT man to another what do you do when you witness a door open fast or slow. You go low take cover. Make yourself a smaller target. Great game!
Hey Chris, around 9:00, the reason you couldn't select more stingers is because you were maxed out on the amount of equipment slots you can carry as seen under "Loadout" at the top, in red print. When wearing Heavy Armor, your max equipment slots is 11.
Can you explain the corners thing more in depth? Also can you tell us when yo looked at the map what your strategy became based on how you saw the map. Do you break down method to clear each room corner etc or just cursory look at map and every time you encounter a room you just know how to deal with it
Street address is the one side than each side clockwise is the next number. Tactics dictate how a room is cleared. I will be going over room clearing in another video soon...
Chris! New here and love the content. Hoping to find friends to play this with. This is such an awesome intro to this game, I want to learn and practice with realism like how you show it
You keep saying that there's no tool such as the optiwand... But here in Brazil (I worked in Water dpt couple of years ago) and we used a device made by Stanley that does the same function of those in the game. I don't know how usefull it is for Law Enforcement Agencies, because I'm not a cop neither an Special Operations Operator.
Dang, at 22:33 you gave your buddy a close shave on his butt with some 5.56. It's wild when your AI buddies get rushed by a dude with a knife, as they don't do much to defend themselves initially. So you're left watching them get slashed at until they decide they've had enough and shoot them. I'd like to see them automatically bash them or something to make distance, so if you do need to make a deadly force decision, you're at least not having to take a ridiculous low profile shot near your buddy. I mean, you'd think if an operator is being rushed with a knife, they'd do something beyond just stand there and yell at them.
Been a while since I watched your videos (originally subscribed back when you went on Gamology and watched sporadically since then). Really enjoyed your commentary.
I appreciate the realism, but I think you need a man watching your back. Sign me up I certainly recommend using cover more effectively, especially consider your exposure when shots are fired and move to defend. Also it's clear to me that flashlights would help illuminate the darkness and blind potential shooters. Thoughts? Usually I would consider overpenetration in a housing, however the targets that you are encountering were quite armored. I definitely would want more firepower and a sight that has a larger sight window. This may have been a restriction. I would have utilized full auto. Falling back and using a gas grenade would be an option on the initial encounter.
once you bring order to chaos, the command to search room/ area should change to search and secure. that will get your team to pick up everything missed and zip tie any suspects or civilians yet to be zip-tied. its super helpful at the end of a mission to get a better score.

Hello Chris, I just want to give you an insight how crew system works. Take your time :)
starting from 38:05
Main focus
1.) Top row is your active red/blue team.
4.) There are 4 level of mental health: Content, Anxious, Stressed and High Stressed(Crisis)
4.1) I highly recommend sending high stressed officer to therapy by click at bottom row of that officer and click send to therapy.
It will show how many days he will return to duty.
4.2) If you take High Stressed(Crisis) officer with you to do mission. Best case is he will quit LSPD. Worst cases are:
-disobey order
-commit friendly fire
-shoot any cuffed suspect/civilian

1.) There are total 13 unique officer traits which you can utilize to combine your team efficiency.
2.) Best map to quickly gain your officer experience to unlock trait is 4U gas station. Also best map to quickly fast forward day for any officer in therapy or still in hospital(incapacitated)
3.) Any action you did during mission, has an impact on your squad member mental health such as: killing suspect, civilian(very high impact), Unauthorized use of force.
3.1) If they have enough of your actions, they will disobey your order and will continue the mission by their own. At the end of mission, it'll be high chance they will quit LSPD
4.) If any officer is beyond high stressed at the end of mission, the therapist will intervene and take that officer away. in my case, it's 3 days for that officer 😂
Anyone has more comment to share please comment down below for Chris to enjoy :D
I almost forgot, best way to maintain your team member mental health is less lethal to arrest suspect alive and certain officer trait such as: Pacifer, Moral officer, etc.
Wow, thank you for this!!!!
Some other useful advice:
- equip all your guys with flashbangs
- dont use stingers as they can hurt civillians
- gas can be good but then you'd need a gasmask, up to you
- after you split your guys, use one group to always cover behind you or left/right
- enemies can see flashlights and lasers, if you peak a door with either of them on, they'll panic and shoot you through the door/wall
- best thing to do when clearing a room is to tell your guys to clear and flash, if they just clear with no flash, they can get shot at and die real quick
- sometimes stack up only one team (red or blue) on a single door stacking 4 people is just asking for a stray bulelt to kill them
- when they open and flash, you can throw your own flashbang in a direction you want, as sometimes your friendly AI officer will just toss it in
- use optiwand for more situational awareness and to help with the previous tips
Idk if it’s just me but sometimes flashbang doesn’t work and we’d still get lit up
@@kevinc.cucumber3697 This is why i said use optiwand.
Thanks for the input and suggestions....
Nice, okay
Oh a note on that, if you try to order a suspect and the "Turn Around" Is Greyed out, I'm pretty sure that means the suspect is fake surrendering so he will be unable to be told to turn around.
There's a voice command mod that just takes this game to an entirely different level. being able to issue voice commands to the AI is just sublime, as the AI is actually really good at what it does.
Interesting...
It's not even a mod, it's a seperate program you buy off steam and I was having a great time with it yesterday. After programming my favorite commands, I find the order to "Ram it, Bang it" oddly satisfying.
@@helmetfire5973 The one i'm using is a seperate program but i got it for free of nexusmods. WOrks very well
Yeah, I've been experimenting with it. It's not bad, but not perfect yet.

@@ChrisTHECOP also, there's some things to pick up during missions, like the anime statue in that mission, that is for collection in the evidence room at the police station - you can view them like in Tomb Raider ;)

i still don't know why they made the streamer have an army of people defending him
I agree there’s too many suspects on the map but story wise I would guess the number of suspects is due then being part of the ring responsible for the stuff on the streamers pc and in his bedside drawer.
It was a SWATting situation, but the guy had an illegal crypto farm, and was guarding it with guns for hire, that's why.
I heard that it was an unrelated crime they stumbled upon
It’s random sometimes there are barely any suspects and it’s just Michael and a few other chumps
BEC those guys have nothing to do with the streamer, check the briefing they say there some gang's around

one of the reasons I love this channel is that you're informative, while letting yourself having fun with zero pretentiousness! You don't act above the audience or gamers because you yourself is one you understand that games exist to give entertainment not giving a one to one simulation.
OMG, someone get's it. Thank you for those kind words!
This is so informative, i'm loving this series, thank you!
Awe, thank you!
I should have known better...
That, but the lack of information in the briefing is because *the entire call was a lie* The setup of the mission is an instance of “swatting” which is when someone calls the police pretending to be an online entertainer, making wild claims (in this case, Michael, who is the live streamer, killing his mother)
The gunfire that can be heard is coming from him playing the game he’s streaming, and his phone would be silenced to prevent interruptions while he’s live - when officers arrive on scene, they discover that he is running an illegal server farm, which he’s hired people to protect, (explaining why he owns 3 apartments, as mentioned in the briefing, and the armed suspects on scene)
Don't be hard on yourself. Elevate yourself. You still got the dog in you. @@ChrisTHECOP
Yeah, I am going to work on some gaming mechanics before my next video...
Option 1: Turn on Weapon Outlines (Accessibility) after soft completion to find visually obscured un-secured weapons
Option 2: Order your team to Search and Secure each room (They may secure the evidence for you)
I totally forgot about that...
There is the Patrol Officer total conversion mod available for this game now. I think even that mod is not an exercise in writing speeding tickets or arresting disorderly college teens for public drunkenness during a peaceful Sunday but all about dangerous patrol officer missions requiring the use of force.
LOL
i personally love the fact that you are taking a very SIM approach with the briefing and all , nice way to feel more immerse in the game

I really love the "Media" tab on service tablet. Especially 911 calls.
Believe it or not, we don't have those available, lol
Appreciate the insight into your world. It's always interesting to see Cops and real-world professionals hop into games that simulate their profession. Thank you as well for keeping your community safe!
Thank you very much...
LOL, I can't use a mirror gun...
I love your content because you're basically the only or at least active swat member that actually makes videos about the game, as well as breaking it down for us 👍.
I appreciate that!
Good morning to you too@@ChrisTHECOP
Sometimes I get to play this with someone who's currently a SWAT officer. The others are prior-service military. Sometimes we play and the SWAT officer is giving us good tips, other times we respond with pure aggression and he's like "or... that works."
There is more than one way to skin a cat...
Well said!
I love to imagine this man getting out of his gear every day, driving home and then arguing weather Tabaxi is a good pick for bard in his nerd cave. I wish my room looked like that.
It is the place where I wind down...
Hey Chris you can tell your swat to search and secure they will find weapons and civs and then you can look for the soft objectives around the map like that farm for example
I thought so...but thank you!
LOL
Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but the point when you couldn't reequip the stinger or take an additional flashbang is because of the loadout point system they have in the game. You choose the heaviest armor, so you can't carry as much. And because you must have recently switched from the standard vest that allows 13 load out point to the heavier vest that only allows 11 loadout points, when you deselected the stinger and C2, you lost those "free"/bugged 2 points and were down to 11/11 loadout points.
Got it, and thank you.
I love this type of content!
If you could, I would really like to see you layout your plans on the map in the briefing room. The buttons to draw on the map are a bit finnicky, and sometimes the maps aren't the greatest, but I would still love to know your tactics for approaching the scenario as a whole
Thanks for the idea!
you should play the game how you wanna play without you showing us your thought process and all that, but after you're done, go into replay mode and *then* walk us through what you were thinking approaching whatever situation you were in. if you're up for it of course. good content man, keep it up.
He can always do a voice over as well and pause the gameplay in post but good content nonetheless !
@FrostyBunnybottom yep, that's a good idea.
indeed. this game clearly commands one's full attention in the moment 😄 please practice/learn more about the features & your options Sir 🙏🏾
I like your idea...may use it soon...
Regarding the missing stinger grenade from the beginning. Theres a bug where if you switch from light armor (which has 13 slots i believe), to heavy armor (which has 11), you keep the extra slots until you lock yourself out by removing items.
We will be doing videos to explain some stuff...
That same "Stinger" bug you experienced at 8:45 in the setup got me a couple of days ago as well. Great video
Cool, thanks
Belated response, but I'm fairly sure he had simply gone from medium to heavy armor, and that lowers how much you can carry. The game just doesn't remove the extra gear when you switch, so he had the extra stinger. Note in the video, after he got rid of the stinger he had exactly 11 individual pieces of gear, hence it didn't let him get it back. Makes me wonder if one can exploit that by going light armor, getting more gear, and switching to heavy.
Got GLID who's an ex-military British commando playing this with his team of active police and other ex-marines and now you, this is great.
GLID and I will be co-oping soon...
Whenever you use the move, open, or breach command you can open/breach it yourself with the leader. Or you can throw a bang in after they breach it with a leader command and they will flow in after the munition is thrown
Got it...
What makes your gameplay interesting is the in-depth information that you provide to regular civies like me
Thank you, more to come...
Can you explain WHY operatives don't use flashbangs as much anymore?
There is a video on flashes
Not sure if someone already mentioned it but if you use Q and E on your keyboard you can lean left and right to clear corners without exposing too much of your body. Great content keep up the good work! Thank you for your service!
Thanks...
Yeah, when you have an 18 person team, things are much differently...
The game is cool alone, but to see someone who has long standing experience talk the technical parts of real life operations and how these operators would handle it in the real world is awesome as well.
thank You!
This game would be amazing with voice attack. For those not familiar voice attack allows you to give commands with your voice. So you could say "stack up left side, bang and clear." And the command would be given in game, the NPC's, would then follow the orders.
Yeah, I will look into this...
Yeah, I went back and learned the mechanics for the next videos...
Edit: I completely overlooked "multiple reports of gunfire from other individuals within the complex" which should have allowed me to assume the potential of multiple armed gunmen
The information we have to go off of from our briefing is:
- Only one confirmed shooter
- Shots fired but believed to be contained within one room, not a roaming active shooter
- No communication could be established
- Suspects apartment is 14
- Apartments 16, 11, 12 are inhabited by tenants bunkering down or evacuated
- No contact with apartments 13 and 15, both of which are also under ownership of the suspect Michael Williams
- Unknown which of these apartments the suspect is in
- No other known threats at the current time
Based on this information and the map of the building, my plan would be as followed:
I would have gone with the fire escape just as you did and make your way up to apartment 15 at the top floor.
To be honest, I didn't really pay attention to the briefing which was my bad. I will take briefings more seriously in future gameplay...
@@ChrisTHECOP
Edit: Completely understandable to miss things when making videos.
I am going to look into this...
I noticed that as well. Walking is VERY important in this game!
Hey thanks for the information, I am going to use the walk key more...
@ChrisTHECOP You can also assign a key to the "toggle" version of Walk, that way you only have to press the key once to start/stop walking instead of holding it down nonstop.

@@ChrisTHECOP Dude that's so cool man, keep doing what you doing

See, that's the problem, there is a significant difference...
It is the game mechanics really...You can't trust the suspects even though you are pointing guns at them...
Heads up: there's 3 soft objectives on STREAMER (23 Megabytes).
The computer, the server farm, and the photos by his bed. The suspect in this one is a real sick freak.

Also explain the uaage of glow sticks, I know you can mark places you’ve been but why on a tourniquet. Also injuries you’d suffer so far how would that have changed plan in middle of op. Priority becomes you? Or hostage still?
So, in this game, you are playing the team leader not the SWAT commander, so the TL would back out and let the ATL take over.

I'm curious too, big diff between an XD45 and a TRP.

Really shines for breaching bigger rooms from multiple doors, clearing hallways with multiple doors, ect.
thank you...
Yeah, I don't know about that as well...
A tip for you is that you can issue quick commands using Z. It usually has the indication of what the command will be in the bottom right
I need to practice more to be honest...
@@ChrisTHECOP It's okay the game is designed to be incredibly hard and it must be frustrating to an extent with someone of your experience when you can't do everything you'd naturally would in these scenarios
What did you btw call a dangerous situation were suspects are able to come from multiple angles? When you are eg. in a cross section or alike.
What do you mean?
You weren't able to carry more flashbangs/primary ammo because there's a loadout restriction, there's text above the items list that tells you how many items you can carry. This is done for balancing purposes, as it would reduce the difficulty of the game greatly if you were able to carry anything you want.
Yeah, I think I was thinking outload, lol
I just watched now the most interesting thing that can be happened with this game) Thx so much Chris "Keep it up" (c)

They are overly aggressive...

Vart?
I thought NIMS changed the sides from numbers (1-4, usually) to letters? That has been my experience on the fire side.
No, we still use 1-4...
Great job great video game. One SWAT man to another what do you do when you witness a door open fast or slow. You go low take cover. Make yourself a smaller target. Great game!
Very true but for some reason I cannot remember that in games, lol
Well Done Chris...well done That Rhoomba, it truly was the scariest enemy on that mission.
Haven't you seen that Tik Tok, When Rhoombas attack?
@@ChrisTHECOP Dear God, a weapon to surpass metal gear.
Hey Chris, around 9:00, the reason you couldn't select more stingers is because you were maxed out on the amount of equipment slots you can carry as seen under "Loadout" at the top, in red print. When wearing Heavy Armor, your max equipment slots is 11.
Hey thank you so much...
@@ChrisTHECOP You're welcome!
I wonder, in an actual operation do you actually have to restrain the bodies? Even if they dead? Or is that just a RoN thing?
The dead are restrained!
I think the Enemy AI is way too hard right now, what do you think?
It is...
@@ChrisTHECOP I’ll be waiting my friend! Very much love this concept of you using game as a learning tool for us normal folk
Chris! New here and love the content. Hoping to find friends to play this with. This is such an awesome intro to this game, I want to learn and practice with realism like how you show it
Glad you enjoy it!
There are devices but no one uses them. You can only use them inside of a residence as they are the only doors with gaps.
Agreed...
Been a while since I watched your videos (originally subscribed back when you went on Gamology and watched sporadically since then). Really enjoyed your commentary.
Wasn't it this game he was doing like a IRL Swat officer rates RoN or whatever, I remember watching that I believe.
Welcome back!
This is a great video. I loved that you explained all the fine details at the beginning.
Hey thank you...
Great Video Chris!

The funny thing in that mission, those guns shots were a video game lol got me when I played that mission
You would know the difference, trust me...
I appreciate the realism, but I think you need a man watching your back. Sign me up
I certainly recommend using cover more effectively, especially consider your exposure when shots are fired and move to defend.
DM on Discord...
I command squad to enter and clear or breach and clear most of time. Also check for them door traps.. I learned the hard way..
Me too
