I give Saber a week or two to realize they made the block weapon meta and then nerf block weapons without un-nerfing fencing weapons. Honestly current block weapons and pre-patch fencing weapons were basically on par. No idea what they did behind the scenes but fencing just doesn't feel the same even though they only said that the AOE stagger was smaller.
@@Kasian02fencing nerf is not a bug... Always meant to be like this since patch 3.0 (in fact you can read it on the patch note), but it was likely accidentally reverted and stayed that way till now. If anything its fixed. What is a bug is how sometimes attacks just go through you, causing you to get stuck in the animation and get hit by other enemies.
I dont think itd be that meta, because its a high skill floor weapon. I mean, if people are complaining that fencing weapons are hard to use now (spoiler, it is still the safest option) than i dont see how block will ever become overwhelming powerful. It is, however, in the right hand, very strong.
It would be exceptionally helpful if you could include an overlay that shows your inputs so we can learn the timings for blocking, attacking, dodging, and parrying more precisely. Trying to work it out from the animations alone hurts my tiny lizard brain.
finally some block lictor, interesting enough, the explosion from the block weapon doesnt look like it regen contested health, so that's something to consider
Perfect block is a 0.33s window thats present instantly when the parry animation begins. Its like sekirou. Fencing is similar but lasts 20f. Balanced have a 10f startup but also lasts for 20f. When fencing was bugged it had 40f of parry window
I love this. But I take so much damage when I try to use the block knife on a sniper. It's ok on Vanguard though but why not just use the block Chainsword?
I find it odd that he doesn't do the turbo spastic animation canceling when he's playing some characters, and then loses his mind when he gets on bulwark. Absolutely phenomenal game play though, really helps to visualize the way to properly play with block weapons. Didn't realize the 3x block charge does huge stagger damage. That's good to know.
I think it was so unnecessary I was finally enjoying the game and clearing ruthless well, now I feel like I can’t parry for anything and I’m back at square one. Like why do they need to nerf stuff it’s a PVE co-op game
Currently, for fencing weapons, the parry window has been reduced and is a bug. They officially confirmed it on their Discord server. So I'm waiting for a bug fix before trying out fencing weapons
@@TheStevec90yeah it wasn't a nerf, Fencing party window is pretty much identical to Balance due to a bug. I re-learned how to parry on Balanced with Fencing before caving and just switching to the Balance knife since its like 5 or 6 points faster than fencing. Supposedly a hotfix is coming in the next 48 hours
Absolutely not necessary at all, along with everything else that went wrong the whole game feels completely different and i mean things like having to stand still for certain inputs or inputs not working at all being stuck in some animations longer it all just feels night and day compared to last week and it was already going downhill with janky matchmaking and connectivity. Plus anyone saying fencing was too easy always had balanced to use but ill bet they didnt or they wouldnt have a problem to begin with. i bought the game after it had been out a few patches, 3.0 i think and a couple patches later the game has gotten worse to play each time.
LMAO all these GOOFY "Block Buff" "Block meta" build vids. almost feels like everyone trying to hide the fact that the patch was botched and underwhelming. but i guess youtubers gotta make money to eat as well. FYI the PATCH is utter Garbage and the game right now had Alot of bugs and mistakes in it. also contested health is bugged as well. even with perks you cant get most of it back and you are made out of butter in lethal difficulty anything range will melt you.

Hows the timing for Block compared to Balanced and (normal, not bugged) Fencing? It looks almost instant from watching you play
It is instant, you black like you would parry in dark souls, picture of contact basically. It's much faster than balanced parry.

Oh that's just because Bulwark is the only class that has an instant recovery animation cancel with it's shield block.

There is no nerf to fencing... the others just do more damage now as they should.
