I will be really needing your reply is he better than ganyu i mean if a account doesn't have both of the characters which one will be better (especially for melt team) And as you have experienced playing with different characters do you think skipping raiden shogun for him will be worth it
I absolutely love how he’s providing some spotlight for more niche characters like Mika, Thoma and Yunjin. Because of how niche they are, they have all been at the bottom of my character list despite how much I love Mika’s nerdy and Thoma’s laidback personalities and Yunjin’s wonderful backstory all the way back in patch 2.4 (still to this day is one of the best archon quests imo!) But now that I have Wrio the slay who can utilise all their buffs and niches, there is no doubt I’m going to obsessively build them all because I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to build the 4 star characters I love so dearly!
Yeah it’s extremely hard to pull off his bonus but maybe future characters might help like before…maybe sigewinne has a limited healing or applies healing bond
I don't understand this misconception. If you bother to play him properly, you will find that once he gains a gracious rebuke by hitting 60%, he keeps it even after getting healed above 60% by another healer. If you get hit to 60% while standing in Bennets burst, and you gain a gracious rebuke, Bennet will heal you to back above 60% and you can still use that A1. You don't have to juggle his HP at 50% to 60%. You just have to hit 60% once and the gracious rebuke buff is permanent until you use it. No matter how much he gets healed.
I feel like the c1 charge attack after a combo should’ve been his passive and he’s passive should’ve been the c1 gaining a charge attack every 5seconds

Finally some Mika justice, the ATK speed buff is godly on Wriothesley + cryo res + healing + battery. I've been running Mika on many teams and his ATK speed buff is highly overlooked :(
I still need to get a copy of Mika because the attack speed does look fun. It's just that attack speed works a lot better on some characters than others. Namely, those who don't have a ton of hitlag on their attacks, essentially nullifying the buff. So catalyst and bow units typically work best with him.
@@MorganLeFae2 I use him with wanderer and my ayato + yelan + kazuha hydro machine gun, there's some hitlag but it's so much fun. I run him with noblesse so he gives atk buff too
I don't care about numbers, I really like his playstyle. My fav characters are mostly catalyst users, and it is a nice change to just throw punches like Heizou. Hope I can get him early. Wish you luck everyone !
@@KeshkupHis numbers are not really good for a DPS and we just got Neuvillette who is a top tier DPS. But I got to say, if you get him at C1 and got Shenhe than he is going to be a really solid DPS that can work in more team.

I got super lucky and won both my 50/50s. Even got the second early. Had to hit epitomised path for his weapon but they came early too. C1R1 in 196 wishes. Still got 210 left for Furina

One thing of note - if you see that you're at 50% HP or below, his 2nd passive works even without the skill being active. Charge attack to get a bunch of health back. Then use E.

I'm seeing a few comments saying he's Dehya bad or his damage is low...his damage is honestly pretty damn good to be real I just think Neuv and other units have inflated numbers so much that we forget this is actually pretty good damage. 2. Almost nothing will be as bad as Dehya who has a kit that borderline contradicts itself lmao!

Also the a1 passive thing too is funny for 2 reasons cause: 1.He can still use it quite normally with healers like mika or jean. 2.Ayato has a a1 passive(not even mentioning his a4) that is more useless than Wriothesley with no real savior for it in cons(c2 kinda but not really) where were peoples complaints about that? Never saw anything close to this kinda stuff with him... i much rather take the Wriothesleys passives than ayato's xD

I think he should have some sort of marks on his hp bar to indicate the percentage for his passive, since its such an important part of his kit to have between 60 and 50% and it can be a bit tricky to differentiate just by looking while fighting enemies.

I agree. His melt teams are pretty scuff. I get 100k melts on one rotation then 30k on the next. The most consistent I find is burn melt and honestly triple pyro. Kazuha doesn't do shit in melt comps. But I want to play melt with him, so if you have found a great one pls share with combo rotation. Ps. I don't have Shenhe.
Wriothesley bennet xiangling and shenhe is rlly good but i dont have shenhe so i use thoma there cause c6 but yunjin might be better than thoma there if built properly or built decently with c6
So I’m unsure how true this is but I hear that bosses while they don’t receive the cc from frozen still get the frozen status applied to them which then allows blizzard strayer to proc! Not that it changes anything for Wriothsley specifically but I felt it was important to keep that in mind for other Cryo carries
Bro I just started playing about 2 and a half months ago. Specifically because of him. I saved up over 400 pulls. And surprise surprise, I got 2 of Venti’s weapon at 69 pity each, Rizzley’s weapon at 66. And then I got him at 81 pity, before losing my 50/50 to Diluc at 76 pity. Sometime I just hate this game so much. I’m sad. He is really fun to play, though.
This reminds me when I got mona (at about 80 pulls) instead of yoimiya (got her at 90 pulls)... Got itto's signature weapon (2 times) instead of wanderer's... And that cursed skyward spine instead of homa (i waited a really loong time for a rerun before i finally got it)... 🥲 I still got the characters and weapons that i wanted but it really took a lot of effort and a bit of whaling :') But yea, wriosthesley's really a cool and fun character. He breaks my boredom in the game. :D
With his C1 is sounds like Hoyo made a problem and sold the solution as extra. Not sure I like that kind of design. Especially being right before the everyone knows will be popular Furina banner.
His charged attack look like classic Ryu's/Ken's skill moves from Street fighter vintage game. Also like Cody's fourth punch from NES classic Mighty Final Fight. Lastly his normal attacks also look like Dennis' from Little Fighter V2.0. Anyone played those games?😅
Yees i've played street fighter on super Nintendo when i was a kid! I pulled Wrio because of many reasons especially the charged attack that resembles ryu's/ken's hehe. Glad i found someone who mentioned this beautiful detail. :)
Im running him in a melt comp with widsith and even the em is pretty welcome because he has a standard icd so when he does melt it definitely hits really hard ( still cant believe i managed to hit a 70k na open world with just bennett and kazuha)
I SOOOOO wanna pull him. But his kit feels like a easy cash grab by Hoyo making a 10% threshold where you can utilise his full kit UNLESS you spend the money for another 80 pulls to get his C1. The Elemental Skill icon is easy to miss and would have been nicer if there was a unique signifier in the attacks themself, example, Yoimiya's arrows actually ignite on fire, there they could've added a red splash effect or glowing blue aura!
Like Neuv, the C1 is nice, but by no means required or necessary, players tend to get caught up in QoL or damage cons isntead of just being better/playing a slightly less efficient comp that still 36*s abyss
@@scarletnoct5807Neuv needs c1 way less then wrio to feel complete. Neuv is HP positive and can just slap on any protection. Wrio is more of a stickler. It’s less about clearing (we live in a world with dendro come on now you don’t even need other five stars anymore) and more about feeling like your unit is complete.

Omg my ritual worked I let my friends Neuvillete sit on Wriothesley seat, then I only have the Traveler in front of his desk. -Ate 3 of his food, the barbecue thing -Then used a welfare meal -Then equipped the namecard with the Cerberus emblem I got him on my 50/50 and his weapon. Tho my pity on the character was close to 80 then I got his weapon at 50 ish
Feels like the Raiden C2 misnomer With Rizzly C1 makes him easier to play and less reliant on healers but honestly having to work around his HP feels better Like would you rather explore other options or pay for a C1 and force him onto "standard" teams

I pushed hard to get C-3 Wriothesley. I have never regretted it. Oftentimes all the support I need is Furina healing, and he literally pummels everything with sheer force, Rocky style. It's unreal how fun he is to play. Then, all I need for the other 2 is maybe 2 Pyros or Geos. With either enhanced atk or massive shielding + healing, he becomes unstoppable.
@@IndraDI only wish arlecchino is an off field dmg dealer, kinda like xiangling. No more pure onfield pyro pls, it's too much atp. And I think it's time to give us 5 star xiangling or a pyro xingqiu/yelan

My man can do 100k melts...and people say " he is mid " 💀 when clearly he has no cooldown whatsoever because he can keep doing DMg due to him using normal and charged attacks. One 100% every 20s is not a big deal. "no cooldowns" i mean, you can keep hitting for 4k if you want, but is not even decent out of his skill mode. (by comparisons, ayaka hit 28k every charge attack, without buffs, that is more)

I currently have him with Shenhe and Barbara and have been switching around the fourth member trying to find a good fit. This has given me quite a few options to consider.
Wrio has an amazing design, but his kit is... too simple and really not that interesting to me, especially because I already have Ayaka which is very close to a cryo catalyst thanks to her sprint infusion and also has better AoE.
@@LiveLaughLovecraft if you don't have neither of them, just go for the one you like the most, both will work. If we talk about meta tho, Ayaka is still the better pull.
Dudes just cryo yoimiya tbh- he aint bad but he is gon be a bit cumbersome cus his main damage is his normals and he uses melee so he tends to get knocked around allot… if you like him then go ahead because he is still pretty good, not really anything crazy though
I'll pull on his rerun, but for now I'm keeping my focus on using my guaranteed for my beloved bratty archon. Wrio will most likely be back around 4.5-4.7 anyways, as new characters tend to rerun first. Edit: So um, I got a little too drunk and played Genshin. I got him, but lost to Tighnari afterwards. I'm guaranteed Furina again at least. 💀

I thought the frostbearer does 300% of what the attack does! If you line that up with a big hit or get his constilation that already drops an extra iceberg on his charge attack… it should be fun XD One punch avalanche
300% of attack, the stat, not the attack damage. Takes no elemental/physical damage, resistance shred or normal attack% buffs into account hence why it does 4k as demonstrated while his attacks do 10-20K

I think his DMG will be equal or a bit less than Ayaka, so maybe we can put him in the Freeze Ayaka team for testing? They are both melee Cryo DPS, deal Cryo DMG with all the talents (A,E,Q).
I think he's less than Ayaka, I have her and love her. I have Shenhe too, and I'll be pulling for Wriothesley in 5h. Now I'm thinking of going for Shene c6... but that would be a looooooooong journey. Also depends on what new characters they'll release and if they catch my eye, just like Wrio did now. Cloriande definitely is on the list too 🥲
6:15 so he does 68k dps... in a hypercarry team ... no off field dmg from anyone else in the team... that is ... actually really weak .... if u look at other hypercarry teams, he is really below average. and especially its a lower dps than the shenhe variant wich had 83k dps (still pretty low)
i've been able to get every single new character since v3.0, but I'm passing on Wriothesley. mostly because I need to make sure I have enough to get Furina in the upcoming patch and I have Ayaka, who I'm super happy with already, so I have no need for him. I'm also super unimpressed with his kit and how you have to start unlocking constellations to improve it. for me his only redeeming trait is his playstyle. i love punching stuff w/ heizou and dehya but he's not worth missing the hydro archon for

lordie, Mika has a big wall to pass for him to actually be useful, like c6 is a must. Freeze teams are expensive tbh, for a person who doesn't have shenhe, I am stuck with a reverse melt team.
As a nuvilette main seeing wriothesley doing 5 to 10k with normal attack i wanted to laugh. My nuvilette raw dmg is around 20-25k with poor crit ratio and prototype amber using 2 piece hp and 2 piece hydro dmg. His dmg isn't great even with signature weapon and artifacts. I am somewhat disappointed. I thought first cryo catalyst user will be broken
Let's be honest, he doesn't even compare to what Neuvilette can bring to the table but if you're interested in looks more than damage then he's a good choice...
I would also add play style to this as well, I hate neuvilettes playstyle it’s boring and stagnant. Rizzly is a very active character, and being a Hu Tao main, he’s perfect.

Without Shenhe he seem underwhelming and since I dont have her he is an easy skip for me. Also his C1 makes him much better at C0 he needs a hypercarry team and Shenhe.

Remember Archons rerun fairly quickly. So she'll probably rerun faster than Wriothesley.
Pulling for his rerun banner is a smart move. Maybe Sigewinne will also be in that banner.
Futuna has a confirmed rerun already. Personally, I’ll always prioritise a limited 5* over a newly released archon who will rerun soon anyway

One thing of note - if you see that you're at 50% HP or below, his 2nd passive works even without the skill being active. Charge attack to get a bunch of health back. Then use E.

I'm seeing a few comments saying he's Dehya bad or his damage is low...his damage is honestly pretty damn good to be real I just think Neuv and other units have inflated numbers so much that we forget this is actually pretty good damage.

Yeah this so much. Also the a1 passive thing too is funny for 2 reasons cause:
1.He can still use it quite normally with healers like mika or jean.
2.Ayato has a a1 passive(not even mentioning his a4) that is more useless than Wriothesley with no real savior for it in cons(c2 kinda but not really) where were peoples complaints about that? Never saw anything close to this kinda stuff with him... i much rather take the Wriothesleys passives than ayato's xD

I think he should have some sort of marks on his hp bar to indicate the percentage for his passive, since its such an important part of his kit to have between 60 and 50% and it can be a bit tricky to differentiate just by looking while fighting enemies.

I agree. His melt teams are pretty scuff. I get 100k melts on one rotation then 30k on the next. The most consistent I find is burn melt and honestly triple pyro. Kazuha doesn't do shit in melt comps. But I want to play melt with him, so if you have found a great one pls share with combo rotation. Ps. I don't have Shenhe.
Wriothesley bennet xiangling and shenhe is rlly good but i dont have shenhe so i use thoma there cause c6 but yunjin might be better than thoma there if built properly or built decently with c6
So I’m unsure how true this is but I hear that bosses while they don’t receive the cc from frozen still get the frozen status applied to them which then allows blizzard strayer to proc! Not that it changes anything for Wriothsley specifically but I felt it was important to keep that in mind for other Cryo carries
Bro I just started playing about 2 and a half months ago. Specifically because of him. I saved up over 400 pulls. And surprise surprise, I got 2 of Venti’s weapon at 69 pity each, Rizzley’s weapon at 66. And then I got him at 81 pity, before losing my 50/50 to Diluc at 76 pity.
Sometime I just hate this game so much. I’m sad. He is really fun to play, though.

His charged attack look like classic Ryu's/Ken's skill moves from Street fighter vintage game. Also like Cody's fourth punch from NES classic Mighty Final Fight. Lastly his normal attacks also look like Dennis' from Little Fighter V2.0. Anyone played those games?😅

I'm pulling Wrio simply to use him in the overworld because of how fun he is
His constellation one is his balanced state, his base should be c1
Im running him in a melt comp with widsith and even the em is pretty welcome because he has a standard icd so when he does melt it definitely hits really hard ( still cant believe i managed to hit a 70k na open world with just bennett and kazuha)
I SOOOOO wanna pull him. But his kit feels like a easy cash grab by Hoyo making a 10% threshold where you can utilise his full kit UNLESS you spend the money for another 80 pulls to get his C1. The Elemental Skill icon is easy to miss and would have been nicer if there was a unique signifier in the attacks themself, example, Yoimiya's arrows actually ignite on fire, there they could've added a red splash effect or glowing blue aura!
That is why Hoyo called his weapon cash flow
Like Neuv, the C1 is nice, but by no means required or necessary, players tend to get caught up in QoL or damage cons isntead of just being better/playing a slightly less efficient comp that still 36*s abyss

Neuv is HP positive and can just slap on any protection. Wrio is more of a stickler.
It’s less about clearing (we live in a world with dendro come on now you don’t even need other five stars anymore) and more about feeling like your unit is complete.

I pushed hard to get C-3 Wriothesley. I have never regretted it. Oftentimes all the support I need is Furina healing, and he literally pummels everything with sheer force, Rocky style. It's unreal how fun he is to play. Then, all I need for the other 2 is maybe 2 Pyros or Geos. With either enhanced atk or massive shielding + healing, he becomes unstoppable.
During trial test run he did not feel as intense as Neuvillette but I guess as a cryo dps he's alright...Anyway I'm happy with my Neuvillette
Yup. Neuvillete is going to stay on the top for a very long time. Here's hoping Arlecchino can surpass or come close to him in terms of damage.

I currently have him with Shenhe and Barbara and have been switching around the fourth member trying to find a good fit. This has given me quite a few options to consider.
Wrio has an amazing design, but his kit is... too simple and really not that interesting to me, especially because I already have Ayaka which is very close to a cryo catalyst thanks to her sprint infusion and also has better AoE.
I don’t have Ayaka so this is a win for me.

300% of attack, the stat, not the attack damage. Takes no elemental/physical damage, resistance shred or normal attack% buffs into account hence why it does 4k as demonstrated while his attacks do 10-20K

I think his DMG will be equal or a bit less than Ayaka, so maybe we can put him in the Freeze Ayaka team for testing? They are both melee Cryo DPS, deal Cryo DMG with all the talents (A,E,Q).

I’m well aware this isn’t the best comp but I’m building a Dehya Wrio comp
6:15 so he does 68k dps... in a hypercarry team ... no off field dmg from anyone else in the team... that is ... actually really weak .... if u look at other hypercarry teams, he is really below average.
and especially its a lower dps than the shenhe variant wich had 83k dps (still pretty low)
i've been able to get every single new character since v3.0, but I'm passing on Wriothesley. mostly because I need to make sure I have enough to get Furina in the upcoming patch and I have Ayaka, who I'm super happy with already, so I have no need for him. I'm also super unimpressed with his kit and how you have to start unlocking constellations to improve it. for me his only redeeming trait is his playstyle. i love punching stuff w/ heizou and dehya but he's not worth missing the hydro archon for

As a nuvilette main seeing wriothesley doing 5 to 10k with normal attack i wanted to laugh. My nuvilette raw dmg is around 20-25k with poor crit ratio and prototype amber using 2 piece hp and 2 piece hydro dmg. His dmg isn't great even with signature weapon and artifacts. I am somewhat disappointed. I thought first cryo catalyst user will be broken

I think he's great. Worrying about not getting the enhanced CA at C0 is silly doom-posting, his dmg is still plenty regardless.
Let's be honest, he doesn't even compare to what Neuvilette can bring to the table but if you're interested in looks more than damage then he's a good choice...

I would also add play style to this as well, I hate neuvilettes playstyle it’s boring and stagnant. Rizzly is a very active character, and being a Hu Tao main, he’s perfect.
