    i have AVR that has Monitor 1&2 outputs, why can't I put the sync box on Monitor 1, then leave my dedicated ARC to the TV so no issues with HDR Dolby Visual etc, any one try this method? litterly the sync box would have nothing on the output HDMI. ?

    why was the football field at 6:27 showing blue lights instead of green?

      The mode it was in syncs with the most dominant color on screen.

    What’s annoying is the only way for the lights to work is through an hdmi connected device. If I want to go on TH-cam, Netflix, Hulu, etc. on my smart tv, the lights won’t work unless I’m on an hdmi device connected to the sync box. Which means I have to watch TH-cam or all the other apps I mentioned on my Xbox.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the only way this works is with the HDMI input through the system. It won’t work without it, you can try a camera like from Govee that reads the image and displays the colors but it will be a slight delay and a camera mounted on the TV. I have both and I prefer the HDMI input option because the colors are way more accurate.

    Hello William ...how did you put 5M of LED strip behind your TV cabinet? can you tell me how you installed it, did you go around your TV stand.
    I ask this because in the video you see light coming out from the top and bottom. thank you for your reply

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      My bad I didn’t show it. But I installed the LED strip on the backside of the TV unit, then wrapped it around through the front underneath the drawers, since it was long enough to cover up that amount of space. My TV Unit has an opening to stick the LED strip through the bottom and up to the front without it being noticed. Since it was long enough to work, it came out amazing

      @@WilliamNevius Thank you very much for the response
      Sorry, this may be a stupid question, but how did you do it so that the light was not visible on the sides and that it was the color of the Light Bar that predominated?
      thank you for your return

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MedaPayne the entire kit, which is the LED light strip behind the TV. The LED strip around the entertainment unit and two light bars are all connected with HDMI sync box.
      One LED strip around the back of the TV
      One LED strip on the back of the TV unit inside the TV unit then down to the front under the TV.
      Two light bars that are hidden behind the sub on the left and a fake tree plant on the right.
      I hope that makes sense

    Hey I have a question. If my TV is a smart TV and it is the input source for lytmi then how can I use light sync with the smart tv content

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s the downside to this system that you have to use an hdmi input for it to sync with TV content.
      I use to use the smart apps on my tv but when I got this system I purchased a Apple TV to run thru the box to get the desired effect. Was it worth it? Hells yeah 😂😂 we love it and everyone who comes over does as well.
      The only other option is govee immersion kit which has a color sense camera you have to put on top of the TV to sync the colors with the lights. No hdmi thru box required.
      I did a review on that kit as well here if interested: th-cam.com/video/BNhyGHtEgL8/w-d-xo.html

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have a hdmi input it’ll work fine. Just make sure you get the correct size to match your TVs size. The only concern with it being flushed to the wall is the colors may not be as reflective. The LEDs bounce off of the wall giving the colors more pop and the further the tv is from the wall the better the colors look, the closer the tv to the wall the less bounce of colors will be seen. I hope that makes sense and is helpful 😏

      I just installed it on my G2 77" and there's a space on the back of the TV the box fits in so it can it flush on the wall. Still spreads the color good. If you pull the TV out there's more dispersion for sure.

      Hey angel and thanks for the sub. This solution is much better than the color sense camera on my opinion. I have both and the Lytmi is a dream to have. Only difference is if you use the smart apps on the tv, Lytmi will not work due to needing an hdmi input.

    Great Review. Are you able to cut the TV Backlight to fit the TV? Did yours fit exactly?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mines was a perfect fit. Cutting would mess up the strip especially since there are 4 sections. I have a 65 inch tv and installed the 65-70 inch and it was a tight perfect fit. I’d say you can’t go wrong with getting one size smaller. They make 55-60, 65-70, 75-80 and 85-90.

    • @jawalkia
      @jawalkia ปีที่แล้ว

      If you mount it flush to the wall, would the lights still show well?

    • @Jeannemarre
      @Jeannemarre ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jawalkia after watching a few reviews I would advise you to have at least 10-15 cm off of the wall to be able to truly experience the lights. Maybe mount it on the SONY wall mount, i heard they make one that can sit quite close to the wall but you can also pull it out. this means you can put your tv against the wall and in the evening when you want to enjoy the lights you simply pull it out. :)

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jawalkia someone answered this perfectly above. Not having it at least 4-6 inches from the wall will be very limiting of the color’s reflection and for lack of better words would defeat the point of the LED black light kit.
