Idk if they are different or not from BOTW (I feel like they are but idk) but spawn rates/conditions of enemies, npcs, and animals
I'd love to see you cover the properties that different fuse materials have, like the ones that break rocks!
Perhaps you could cover different stats that have or haven't changed in a single video, e.g.
If the scaling system has changed, explain how, if not, just mention it hasn't so we know
If how shields take durability has changed, explain how, if not just mention it so we know
@lordquagsire5714 They definitely have changed a lot! I remember the BotW gerudo desert being able to spawn fire breath lizals randomly, which is no longer true in Tears!
(this will be hard to research fully though because random/dynamic spawns were never fully figured out for botw)
I finally have the data to torture enemies the best possible way. Thanks Croton!
a healthy dose of pinecone goes a long way!
Save the bokos
Woohoo toture!😄
@@Crotona very long way…
OF BURNING IN FIRE!
Great minds think alike
Muddle Buds can also have their affect applied to the Eightfold Longblade's beam, and I believe this and the other applicable elements go for the Master Sword's beams as well. Also, fun fact: Aerocudas for some reason take 500 additional damage from Muddle Buds, despite only having 2 HP.
"Aerocuda experienced kinetic energy"
I wish master sword beams could get the other elemental attacks, but it's still cool how it works with the muddle buds!!
Also master sword beams now work with attack up, which wasn't the case in BotW
@Croton I've noticed when attacking wildlife with the Master Sword beam fused with Gleeock Horns, the fire horn would instantly roast their meat, and frost horn would freeze the animal, and their meat.
This was provided the beam killed them.
@@SSDARKPIT that's the case for any elemental attack
Something weird about the 8-fold Longblade is that Muddle Buds will actually make the shockwave muddled, making enemies hit by it attack other enemies! The shockwave even gets a unique purple color, so I guess this isn't a glitch!
Learning that once a Gleeok is down I don't do additional damage if I hit them with an opposite-element weapon is very helpful. Every King Gleeok fight was so awkward when I thought "okay, now I have to equip my Igneo Talus hammer and target the ice head, specifically"
Crazy to think this game was released almost a year ago already
Thats wild
@@meticakolli1237 This is Tears of the kingdom not Breath of the Wild. Don't worry we all get them mixxed up sometimes.
@@RaidFiftyOne the joke went skyward above you
@@meticakolli1237 Oh I didn't even consider you did it on purpose. This is an Awakening. Don't worry in Time I'll get better at detecting jokes. Man what a Waker.
I can’t let you guys have a monopoly on Zelda title jokes.

Link: *roasting boko alive*
Evermean: “well that’s my cue to leave”
Omg that's so wild 😂😂 I've never seen one run away before. I definetly need to try bringing a flamethrower to one of them and see if I can recreate that haha. Ive been jumpscared one too many time by those wooden bastards
It's such a shame there's not gonna be any DLC for this game, I would love to dive back into a harder experience this time already knowing the game.
Yeah...
Doesn’t mean we can’t get an enhanced version when Nintendo launches their next system! I definitely think master mode is still a possibility!
@@platinum1161 Didn't think about that, now I'm all excited again
Yeah…
I also really miss the master cycle. Nothing in totk quite compares to the mobility and reliability of it. I love just exploring mountains and fields with it. None of the zonai devices work to get the same effect. And no, as amazing as it is, the hoverbike just doesn’t feel as good.
ALL I WANT IS FOR THE STEERING STICK TO HAVE FUNCTIONS
The Aerocuda ragdolling at Dazzlefruit! 😂😂😂
About the elemental armors, some testing I did a while back suggested the damage depends on the level of charge. Doing a combo finisher or a quick spin got 15 damage for ice/fire and 25 for lightning, as you got. A level one charge attack for ice seemed to do 20, level 2 seemed to do around 30. My data was a bit less exact for the charged set due to the higher HP of the enemies I was testing on, but it suggested a level 2 spin did 32-39 damage, and a level 3 did between 54-79. This is a bit unsurprising since the extra effect from upgrading the sets increases charge speed.
I mean it makes a certain sense that the zonai constructs have fire resistance since they're not organic beings
If only the lore folks could be enjoying this game like the technical folks.
I certainly am still enjoying both
I enjoy both aspects, I am not playing the game just for the lore
Who says the lore folks dont enjoy the game? Just because they view it differently doesnt mean they dont like the game. Im personally a lover of both.
@@DevininityWell you're certainly not picky, then. I find it hard to enjoy the lore when they inexplicably removed all the Sheikah technology and the Zonai were just half-baked replacements for that. Like we did not need 2 different ancient hyperadvanced cultures with futuristic technology, Nintendo. The Zonai had the potential to be so much more primal and mystical but all we got was furry Sheikah shrines.
@@Azeriiall what lore
USING A MIRROR to fell enemies on horseback?!! Why didn’t I think of that??
😮 I also had no idea about pinecones making a bonfire out of enemies.
My favourite thing about Eightfold Longblades is that when you attach an ice material and charge the beam fully, you can make an ice bridge!
Also my sister loves jump attacking a waterfall with ti, ice explosion!
Also, fun fact about the water element. Using any water elemental attack (even chuchu jelly) puts the "wet" status on an enemy. If you hit an enemy with lightning while they are wet, a massive shockfiekd will appear.
You can also shoot chuchu jelly with lightning arrows to cause a shock wave. (In botw you could stasis the jelly to shoot it multiple times)
And this is applied to frozen enemies, too
I haven't gotten this game yet due to constraints on time and money, but I really appreciate you compiling the data like this and presenting it in a clear, concise, no BS manner. You're a real champion.
I wondered what those wings and other things were good for. Thanks so much.
This is the most detailed elemental guide ive seen so far, pretty sick
Been a while but hope you’re doing well Croton!
Thank you!! Same goes to you it's been a while 😄
1:21 This also includes the time you have remaining on burning weapons, if you fuse a Pinecone to a wooden weapon, it lasts for 50 seconds.
This is my favorite style of video that you make, I love learning subtle things about this game.
Thanks, ive been looking for this! Was wondering about the stats on elements
a croton stats video. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah babyyyyyyy!
okay but the constructs being fire resistant makes sense! they're stone/magic.
How do weapons attached to Zonai devices work? How is damage calculated? Is durability affected? How are special properties and fuse attachments affected? Does autobuilding it with Zonaite affect the weapon?
Can you do a video on Zonai devices and the physics system?
Thanks a lot for these infos!
Also, how did you get the 138 dmg weapon during the freezing test on silver bokobkin?
No problem! 😄
Silver lynel horn + scimitar of the seven! High damage, 85 durability
@@Croton Amazing, I was looking for a high damage weapon to use while riding lynels.
Thanks for this info croton! :D Looking forward to the zonaite only run!
I'm still annoyed Electric ennemys have no weakness. I would love King Gleokks EVEN more. Gleokks make you feel like you must battle elements with elements... until you get to Thunder and King Gleokks. Ik they didn't give it one because none of them make sense to one shot electric enemys, but it annoys me knowing there the strongest of the elemental variants because they don't have a weakness. I wish they made wet electric enemys deal more damage with electric attacks however they hurt themSELFS when using them. Kind of a high risk high reward thing. It would give King Gleokks the full elemental mastery vibes while also giving water an actual use in combat (since they nerfed the shock orbs you would use water for).
I gotta say great choices on the music for this vid. Every time the song changed I was like "Oh that's a good pick" lol
One interaction I had hoped to see is wet enemies taking increased lightning damage, so you can first throw a splashfruit and then a voltfruit for bonus damage, but alas
I never thought to add elemental materials to the Eightfolds. huh
I knew I wasn't crazy when I noticed the eightfold longblade was doing way more damge thatn what was shown, its become my favorite weapon in the game when yiu attach gleeok horns on them, its so fun freezing enemies with the elemental wind blast
Great informational video as always Croton
the other day I first used an opal with a magic rod and I had NO idea what was the water magic hahahaha
Perhaps with the rework of horses with the towing harness and pull stat and the ability to upgrade stats horses are a worthy topic of a video?
2:05 tree was like nope! I am out of here 😂
Yay new Croton video! I can stay up even later now :D
absolutely fantastic --- I'll watch any totk content this channel produces
And then there's me spamming shock fruit arrows lol😅😂
Same 😂😅
Awesome video Croton!
I always wondered what Wind elemental emerald or earth elemental garnet would do.
Croton, This is great! I liked it and subscribed!
What was gloom thingy called in botw? I forgot (I mean this substance that was all around castle and dealt damage)
Well done! That was very informative.❤
I wish water wasn't so useless. I get that opals are the most common gem but they could have some combat-related niche (like increased effectiveness against electric enemies)
Suggestion: Outdating Stats of the Wild. For example, In TOTK, Stamina consumption during bullet time is changed it no longer drains it at a set rate, it now Drains “31 Stamina points” or that Spaming Sprint Drains you stamina like a son of a *****
TOTK Tips And Tricks with Croton
Damn I knew botw/totk combat was deep, but not this deep.
I hope the zelda team expand upon the elemental combat and force us to learn them in a hero mode in the next game
As a side note: NEVER use water attacks against a lightning enemy!
This is what I subscribe for
First also yeah you can do so much with elements
How much damage do evermeans take from fire?
But you forgot to talk about the light dragon parts
- somebody, probably.
IIRC, they function exactly like the other dragon parts, but don't have any elemental effects, instead healing you for 1/4 of a heart per hit. That's it... unless I'm forgetting them having dazzlefruit-like light properties as well, but I think they don't? Y'all can correct me if I'm wrong.
Croton, I loved this video so much, I had to hit the like button!
So other than animation is there no difference wen using a magic rod, staff or scepter? Specifically in terms of the element damage
Correct! the application is just slightly different (I still prefer 1h the most tho)
@@Croton same tho spear charged attack might have some uses
So sad that you can't use a light dragon shard to make a classic light arrow
Imagine a challenge run where you can only damage enemies using light! That would be insane, if it's even possible😂
You sound different than the stats of the wild, you sound calmer and quieter
Most Stats of the Wild was 3-4 years ago, I've grown a lot since 😅
Next I wanna see a Hylian only run so NO flurries only travelers weapons and hylian set!
Next stats video idea, armored enemies
Boko armor is 40hp, Lynel armor is 500hp! Only shatterable with rock breaking weapons (1h and spear do 25% more damage against rock types, 2h and bombs do 50% more)
@@Croton Thxn
i appreciate the time in effort that goes into testing and editing, big dawg. very helpful
It takes a lot but it's worth it 🔥 thank you!
You should try to beat breath of the wild only with royal weapons
His bio is so real
Awesome,thanks Croton!
So, theres a strange effect with master sword beams if you use a freezing effect fuse, it doesnt actually freeze enemies, but, when KILLED with the ice element beam they go super slow and finish their animation, and keel over. Its quite funny.
Also do the elemental fruits hv th same bonus as th chu chu jellys of +10 magic damage?
Fruits don't have magic damage! Same with emitters, and most elemental weapons
@@Croton thank you
When covering the elemental rods you did miss the light rods.
No stats to share for them! they don't do anything
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I ended up having to take a lot of stat when I did computer science in 1983-1988. Stat still is useful to me, though. Now elderly, at least I still understand.
YESSSS STATS OF THE KINGDOM THE PART TWO OF STATS OF THE WILD IVE BEEN WITH YOU FOR 3 YEARS I LOVER YOUR CONTENT
By the power of the light
It really feels like you just completely forgot to mention just how broken ice is in this game, this was left completely unnerfed from the previous game. The only reason people don’t just spam ice for their entire play through is because they don’t know what it does, once you know that it triples the next hit you can legitimately cruise through the entire game with a few ice wands and a bat. It’s it’s so easy to have success with it that it makes the other elements look laughable, this is by far the dominant strategy when it comes to normal combat, electricity and fire are really just cute things to do in the meantime because of how powerful ice is in comparison.
I did say it triples the damage of your attack and stacks with other buffs and criticals, if someone doesn't feel inclined to use it after that then 🤷♀️l😅
pine cone=FIRE AND DEATH
F=mass*acceleration so 12 firefruits and a stick hit is enough to K.O a blue lizalfos
Does water count as the counter to electric gleeok heads?
Shock has no counter!
Showed everything but what the mirror would do to sthal enemies, now i gotta go play the game like a normal person and figure that out all on my own 😢
Practical to know.
8:49 HOW DO WE NOT KNOW THAT WE CAN USE LIGHT TO KILL THE UNDEAD?!
One small addition to the eightfold longblade. If you haven’t updated the game, you can preform the zuggle glitch to use multiple weapons at once. With this you can use 3 different longblades with the different gleeok horns to use the forbidden technique; the tri-elemental windslash.
You know it’s a good day if Croton uploads 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥💯💯
You forgot about the -useless- overpowered elemental stone, the star fragment.
0:09 what is fused to their weapon here?
Queen Gibdo wing!
@@Croton Thank you
Very good, but you failed to mention that star fragments also function with magic rods. Other than that, great video
it's sad they do nothing useful 😔 only reason I didn't bother mentioning
Thank you though I'm glad you enjoyed!
Dazzlefruit is the goat
also what in hell is that bigass spoon
lynel only run plz
So you can "one shot" a Lynel with lightning now?
Lynels are considered bosses, so they take only 120 damage to lightning!
hell yeah new nerdy zelda video to watch
Thank you for the info, dude. Time to use the fruits of your labor.
Fire, ice, shock and splash fruits! 😁
That ice emitter boomerang was rad
You should have talked about how fusing a star fragment to a magic rod lets off light orbs
Looks like that pesky zelda theorist has finally left us alone...
love you croton
We all love crouton
Zonai only run
NEW VIDEO LETS GOOO
Good amount of views, didn’t fall off.
So regular Ruby/Sapphire/Topaz rod = BotW tier 1 rods, and magic rods = BotW tier 2 rods
Visually similar - but the damage is totally different!
Botw base rods deal 10 damage regardless of element, while the upgraded rods deal 30 for blizzard, 20 per fireball, and 30 per shock orb! there's some other unique quirks about them too
(covered in my Breath of the Wild Combat Mythbusting video made ~1 year ago)
@@Croton Wait, so the number that you see in botw is only for using it directly as a regular weapon?
@@Reaktron88yes
^^ making attack up practically a useless modifier for it durability is the best for rods!
@@Croton i lvoe you croton
One weird thing that I didn't hear you mention is that the base windslash of the longblade is actually a wind-element attack, and electric(lightning?) Gleeok heads are actually weak to this "wind element" - at least that's what I've heard, I can't say for sure if it's true or not, and if it IS true, I can't confirm if it applies to normal electric enemies as well..
BABE WAKE UP CROTON UPLAODED!!!🗣️🗣️🗣️🙏🙏
you mentioned light why didn't you mention the star piece rods :(
Because they don't do anything useful! just expensive, short lived light orbs
Pls do a amiibo only run in totk
I hope Nintendo updates Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild for their next console. I feel like they could have done so much more for Tears of the Kingdom if they didn't cut out content from BOTW
