Well it's from the same guys that already built the LFA. The probably best sounding car in the world.

Saw this in a parking lot last month. Amazing looking car. I had to do a complete walk around several times. One of the best looking cars I've ever seen in person.
Wow 5.0 n/a engine is a rare thing to have in a car nowdays (maybe not in american cars). Really interesting car. They really went all in this time
I feel this is one of the rare times when an automotive manufacturer puts a prototype car into production, similar to the the BMW i8, Fisker Karma, Plymouth Prowler, and just a few others. However, while all the other cars mentioned were simply impractical, with a high emphasis on form over function, this car couldn't be any further from that trend. Somehow, the masterminds over at Lexus have engineered a masterpiece : a concept car for the road that is practical to use, ridiculously reliable, and priced reasonably for the market. If I had to pick one car to buy new, it would hands down be the LC 500

I’ve had mine for 9 months now. I’ve tracked it and can confirm it’s a good drivers car (and I’ve raced bikes my entire life so I have high expectations 😉) More importantly, it puts a smile on my face every time I press that start button - and if that’s not the sign of a good “drivers car” I don’t know what is.

Hey Matt I actually work for Lexus and I have driven the LC 500 multiple times and I have to say it's simply amazing and feels like its a baby LFA.
Michael Hollon I sure hope you have driven an lfa to make that statement. Nothing baby about an extra 1,300lbs
I assume he clearly means the engine size, horsepower numbers, and benchmark times not its weight which the LFA obviously beats by a massive margin..

Albert S. Man not even 80k if you're talking performance if it wasn't labeled a "sport" yea but this car's performance is the same as 35k-50k cars
It looks amazing and really high-quality. The reliability will save you a lot of money down the road.

This is the prettiest thing Lexus has made since the SC400. LOVE this car. Beautiful, beautiful lines and styling!!!! Bravo Lexus! That V8, and what looks like a smooth, sporty ride make my mouth water. I gotta get one.

They're so beautiful in person seriously Las week I was at a club in LA there was a few Ferraris parked outside and then there was this , no one was paying attention to the Ferraris they all had their eyes on this beautiful Lexus

Not the fastest car despite the price tag, but dangit does it look really nice and still having a NA v8 is just awesome.

My point was there was cars just as fast for much cheaper, nothing really stands out as crazy about the lc500. Great overall package but for The money I'd grab a 911 or f-type etc.
This is a luxury grand tourer, not a performance car like an M5.
+little123456788 - True but entry level luxury cars like the 440i, Q60, S4 all offer about the same performance, are mainly GT cars and cost about $50-60K less than this.
I don't think a V8 engine and a stepped up interior is worth that cost difference.
Hell I'd pocket 20-30K and snag a RC F over something like thee LC 500, same motor slightly worse interior and bit rougher ride.

Was watching some DB11 videos today and can't help thinking LC500 is a DB11 rival for half the price. What's not to like about that!
Leuff uhhh... How sway. The db11 destroys the lc500 on every category.
Not if you factor 100%+ price difference. Big, fast, beautiful GT with a great engine. If you squint real hard they aren't that different (and DB11 just got a V8 version as well)
132 Hp is a HUGE difference and the it weighs more. The lexus has the quality of the db11 interior but much more practicality in the sees that the db11 is more of a Met gala or fancy dinner car, while the lexus won't make your wallet feel guilty if something happens to it
Once you factor depreciation and maintenance it’s about 1/3 the cost of a DB11.
Matt Doyle Be honest. If you had money to afford both, you'd be mad not to opt for the DB11. Aston is attempting to copy tesla maintenance method. They cover maintenance for a set amount of years. They'll pick up your car for service and leave you a loaner car and you never leave your driveway. That's customer service right there.For their Prefered Customers/New model aston owners

Saw this car the other day. Imediatly knew it was something special. Was late to my next drop (deliver shopping), just to find out how much I couldn't afford it. Turned out it wasn't as bad as I thought.
I just saw this in person at the San Antonio auto show and it was one of my favorites.

i actually got to test drive one of these earlier this year, twice. great car, incredible interior, beautiful exterior (minus the wheels). the only thing i can wish for is maybe a little bit more power and like he said, it's a gt car not a sports car.

Wow. That exhaust note easily rivals the German comp. Would be nice if Honda made a v8. There v6 engines are great, good power and most of them are sohc

N/A is more special for this car. In fact this could be the very last non-force induction V8 outside of America.

I watch your reviews because I am also 5'9" like you, but I am a bigger guy, even when I was in the Marine Corp at 183. I have found that for me most all Japaneses made sport car the seats are not wide enough for me and the passenger seat in the 2015 to 17 Mustang is to tight for me. I enjoy all of your reviews!
This car is pretty sexy esp with its broader curve at the rear just like the Aston Martin and Maserati. It's really really awesome. That's the shape of a superhypercars should be. Tq bro.

Why/how does the LC sound so much nicer and louder compared to the RCF? They’re both naturally aspirated v8’s but this sounds so much nicer

The tail lights look like the Tesla logo. The steering wheel airbag logo looks really old. They should have made it chrome that way it would shine.
I really hate that lexus didnt put the V8 from the LC500 into the LS500. I think they should do that in the future or offer it as an option.

Does this one have the rear wheel steering option? May somewhat explain the weight/handling relationship.

Gorgeous vehicle, interior and exterior reliability is a 10, easily probably get 300k miles on the GT with rountine Maintenance. Naturally aspirated 471HP V8 music to my ears.
To see how it does, that part is the best of this guy haha

Lexus isn't going to bring back that V10 (that V10 cost more than this car).... idk but maybe they'll put the twin turbo V6 from the new LS or add a hybrid system to the V8.... but thats if they're even planing on making the LCF
You're definitely right about the V10 costing more than this car. If I had to guess, I'd say it was somewhere in the ballpark of 2-3k the price but IIRC they can't go back to the V10. They destroyed all the molds.
usually engine molds is destroyed everytime you cast a new engine block... (1sand mold = 1engine)... they'll have a few extra for racing and some as replacement parts but it'll be too expensive for another production car... idk the price of the engine but i would guess its around $50k-$100k
dunhillsupramk3 That's good to know, of course they're only good for one casting but perhaps it was the molds for the casts that were destroyed? Either way, considering each LFA cost Toyota (conservatively) $800k to produce, I believe your estimate on engine cost to be a little low. Also A70 represent ;)
