- The 2019 Lexus LC 500 has some changes over last year's 2018 debut model. Some of those include changes to steering ratio, addition of apple carplay, the ride comfort and more. Still, this LC 500 super coupe is stunning to look at, drive, and daydream about. I had an absolute blast with this car although it's $102k price tag is high considering it's slower than a 40% discount Camaro or Mustang. However, this Lexus LC 500 is a perfect blend of the luxury you'd expect, the muscle attitude you crave, and the concept-like looks to get everyone's attention. This Lexus is not only eye candy, but also ear candy.

Good choice. I have the Infra Red with Toasted Caramel and it is my daily driver. I bought it used with just under 3,000 miles and in perfect shape. The first time I saw one of these it was parked in front of a restaurant and my knees buckled. It was the most beautiful car outside and inside knocked me out completely. It also was the same color inside and out as the one I bought. You never get tired of looking at it and driving it is nothing but FUN. Lexus did a marvelous job all the way around. You simply can't find fault with the LC 500. It is a work of art. What I like best of all is that it is a Lexus and therefore reliable. If you enjoy your LC as much as I enjoy mine then the smile never leaves your face!

Beautiful car and great review. However, I would recommend that potential buyers should not go for the black interior, instead, they should go for the tan! That way you will see all the beautiful lines and stitching on the upholstery.

I was looking at this a few weeks ago in this same color. Clearly this is built for a retired executive. It has power and presence to drive off to the golf course.
It’s a very attractive car that will not end up in the shop like any Mercedes or BMW. I have two kids, so this doesn’t work for me at this time, though I did consider purchasing one.

This is not a Corolla where you can skip the service when you are tight on cash. If you don't service and maintain a Lexus, it will end up being towed or be in the shop just like a Benz or BMW will be in the shop if you don't maintain them.
If you want to compare a cheap reliable Japanese car to a German car, then they should be on the same level. A Corolla cannot be compared to a Benz, but it can be compared to cars such as Opel or VW Polo. And it turns out the Polo is insanely reliable.

I own a 2022 LC 500 with performance pack . I owned a Ford GT 350 and never looked back !! Camaros and Mustangs are no where as refined as this car . No plastic cheap shit like in Camaros or Mustangs . It’s not a drag car it’s a GT so make sure we understand that!!! It’s luxury with power

Very nice video, you did pick-up on some very small details that so many reviewers didn't even notice or comment on. I do however prefer my toasted caramel interior to the one on your tester. This car also deserves the full performance option package.

Jesus Christ Dude. You have a lot of Lexus haters following you. Clearly most of them are fanboys of BMW and Honda, Acura too. Comments regarding power and grill design are so predictable. This reveals their complete lack of understanding of the cars purpose and design language. It's easy has hell to hate when a car does so many things so well, and it's not your fanboy brand.

The 4,300lbs weight is a huge factor in its lag.
The rear end looks like a cross between Jaguar and Toyota Camry.

It weighs as much as other cars in this segment like the SL and BMW 6 series 2 door or now the 8 series while giving you more performance at this price point.
Did Lexus tune LC 500 with unique exhaust system? Somehow LC sounds better than RC F stock.
Yes they worked a lot on it...can’t remember what exactly went into it, but I read some of their press material talking about that. You’re right, it sounds amazing inside and outside of the car
They had an entire acoustics team tune the induction/exhaust noise to fit the GT look and feel of the car. It is truly awesome

Are you sure that's Nuluxe ? For a $93k+ car I would think that Nuluxe wouldn't even be considered. The Lexus website states the LC has real leather.
Yep that’s correct, the front seats have real leather but only the back seats are Nuluxe. Here’s a spec sheet: pressroom.lexus.com/releases/2018-lexus-lc-500-product-specs.download
It’s surprising but probably because nobody sits there and to keep weight down. They definitely had a synthetic feel to them, but were still nice

Good question! I’ll take both. Lol...I would go for the LC 500. The main thing I liked more about the ZL1 is the pure speed/feeling of power. It’s an amazing vehicle but the Lexus would be a lot easier to live with IMO and feels much more premium even though it’s quite a bit slower (relatively). LC has more comfortable ride comfort, better stereo, somewhat quieter, and still sounds fantastic and drives great when you want to. What would you go for?

As a lucky guy who has owned a 2018 Infra Red with Toasted Caramel interior, I can tell you your review was spot on. This is a wonderful car for the public roads. It is not and never was intended to be a race or track car. You have more power than you'll ever need and options as to comfort and performance. I opted for the 20" wheels because here in California the 21" wheels with hardly any tire sidewall is a recipe for disaster. We are known as THE POTHOLE STATE by many drivers. Once you've damaged or ruined an expensive wheel after hitting one of the millions of deep potholes, you won't be in a hurry to own stupidly large wheels ever again. Even the 20" wheels are subject to damage but at least you have a better chance with that extra amount of rubber. The LC 500 is a car you just don't want to ever get out of because it is so beautifully done inside the car. When you look around, see and touch all the interior components it's quite humbling to think man can produce something so perfect. You didn't mention the infotainment system which, once you learn it, is really nice. Yes, of course it isn't perfect but I can't really think of anything to complain about. Whatever you wish to do the VOICE COMMAND feature will do it for you. Some people tend to forget this is a very complex machine. It isn't something you just get in a drive if you want to enjoy all that it will do. Again, good job on the video. It was very well done.

Gorgeous car, (in fact, I really wish this was my daily driver!) but I wish they would just make it a two-seater instead of including those two useless back seats. Also, I wish they had more interior color options. I don’t like the tan interior color in the least, the black and the red options are nice, but the white should be paired with another color instead of blue. Best Lexus ever overall though, no doubt!

I'd love a lexus lc500 for $103,000, unfortunately the same spec car in Europe would cost me $165,000 so you won't be surprised to know I won't be buying one. ( + more exterior & interior choices in US.)

The Lexus LC needs to lose weight by at least 10% to compete against the likes of the nissan GTR and Honda NSX following the discontinuation of its predecessors Lexus SC and Lexus LFA. It looks more like the supra than the upcoming a90.
