You know me so well yes i recently got that Daydreams Angela Porter book in my Birthday Haul, i got in around May /June, very fun book !! Omg i love how decisive you are about what to take on Vacation !! Everytime i have to pack for vacation i freak out and i dont know what to take !! I use so many different things on each page its hard for me to color outside of my craftroom lol !!! Loved seeing what you are taking !! Thanks for sharing ! Xoxoxo hope you had a blast !!!

I take my least expensive stuff. Couldn't stand if something happened to my best Polycromos or Pismacolor sets. A few books.. All the detail stuff I'd did when I got back. Most of the time I'm too busy out doing stuff to do any colouring 😊

Oh boy...when I go to see my son for the weekend I always pack a project bag of coloring!!! It is always so hard to decide!!
I am a journaler and packing stationery supplies for a holiday is challenging - so much to choose from! I am just the same with packing cosmetics, jewellery and clothes. My husband, on the other hand, takes the equivalent of a carrier bag for his stuff! We too are off to the Lakes for a few days soon. I hope you have a wonderful time before you return to the fray. That’s behind me now - I taught for 37 years and loved it but I know how hard you all work. 💜
Your optimism for time is wonderful. I always under estimate time and how fast it passes. But you are way better at it than me. Whatever you end up colouring on holiday, I hope you really enjoy doing it. And that you also have lots of time outside in the fresh air and eat lots of great food that you haven't had to cook. As I type this the weather seems to have turned. It's autumn now. Still warm enough, but it's raining and it's getting dark way too soon and leaves are starting to drop. I really don't like autumn. And the older I get the more I dislike winter. It's the dark that does me in. You mentioned "we teachers", is your husband also a teacher? If so, what subject? I consider you the brain box, teaching science. I wish I'd done chemistry at school now. I chose biology, but I think chemistry would have been more fun.
My husband is not a teacher but works in a school. I don’t particularly like the Winter, though I don’t mind Autumn with all the gorgeous colours in the leaves and the trees! Hope you’re doing okay and having a fantastic week x

A good way to do light rays is by using the Holbein soft white, it's number is 501. It's not the regular white, the lead is super soft, so soft that it's bendable, and that it's great for light rays and making a smoky effect over top of other colors!
