HI! Missed you all so much! Hope you enjoy this one and find it helpful - I am so curious on YOUR favorites as well - share them below and let's all exchange tips together 🌟 Have a beautiful day on your side of the earth ✨ Love & Light - J
So helpful in a way, was also rewatching other pack your art supplies videos today. Currently not packing and stressing out for a vacation but for a trip to a psychiatric hospital tomorrow
Thank you for this lovely guide! Hope you had fun in Europe with other artists you were with 🌟. We need more of these Europe videos to learn, navigate and enjoy the experience you had. Please do make a documented series of the things you did in Europe. Would love to see that! Thank you so much for being so creative and of course being the "sunshine" person wherever you go! Watching you always inspires me to trust, believe and love myself more!!! 🤍 Thanks for being you!!!!! ✨ Sending love and hugs 🤗
Hi Jess! I've been your fan since I was 14 yrs old (now I'm 18) and I'm always excited whenever you post another video!!! You inspire me always to just continue doing art. Thankk you! 🥹
It's so difficult, yet so much fun to put together a "travel art supply" pack. When you are forced to get down to the basics, you realize what's really important to you in terms of art. It's also a good way to learn more about yourself! I have a little fanny pack that I carry around which has a limited paint palette of 12 of my favorite colors. I can only take a couple of brushes and a couple of pens with me. When I put it together, I learned so much about myself as an artist. I think every artist should do this! Ask yourself, what art supplies can you NOT live without? ❤️
Hi Jess! Thankyou so much for this video. When im going out, i always stay thinking for hours what to take with me, for travels, plean ir. Now im inspired for my next trip! 🖍️🖍️
Glad you are back home! and safe!! Saving this video for a future trip that hopefully I will do by myself.. he he... I recently spent two weeks in Japan... took 2 sketchbooks, many black liners, travel watercolors and brushes.... ask me if I had time to sketch or sit to sketch... it was a go go go trip with my husband. Not complaining because we saw more than anyone... I tried sketching on the bullet train and moved so much I coudnt keep my lines straight.. The itinerary was intense. Brought over 1000 photographs and I am happy to draw from them at home. Looking forward to having my own trip to just sit and draw without the go go go..... :)
This video made my day. My parents came to my college to see me for fall break and they left today. I was very sad, but this helped the tears. The tips were awesome too since storage is limited here 🙂
What a wonderful video! I love seeing what other artists use to create art while travelling. And it’s super helpful to see how you carry your TH-cam gear as well as I often struggle with carrying both. Thanks x
I'm just starting to make art (after being incredibly inspired by you lovely, talented people during Artists in Wonderland), so this guide was so useful as a starter set too! There are so many products available, it's difficult to know where to start! Thanks Jess! Safe travels! 💜
When I was getting school supplies for my kids this year in elementary school, I noticed these little plastic crayon cases. Basically, it's just what it sounds like. It's shaped like a normal paper crayon case, but it's plastic, and I'm using it for my neocolor 2s, but it would also be perfect for pastels and smallcolored pencils
Hullo Jess, I have seen you working and your so organized. I am excited to see some of your content from Europe! I am not likely to travel anytime soon. I have watched a few art retreat videos and so many people seem to really like them! I know your job is teaching those who spent their money to travel to have your instruct them in a lovely exotic location! Yet I am hoping you have taken the time to film for videos once you get back home! I once made a traveling easel based on the James Gurney traveling easel. It was very flexible and I loved adding to it as long my Plein Air adventure lasted. I just do not work outside anymore. I enjoy taking photos and getting back to the studio to work in comfort. Yeah I know, we all get older and you just decide what your willing to give up to keep working or creating your Art.
This is such a great video! Thank you for sharing your travel supplies! I've been looking for replacement water brushes and also backpack for travel! So far my travel setup has not been ideal.
Uniball Air is the most bestest pens ever. They are way more gooder than the rest. So buttery smooth. I have stocked up because I have a fear they wont make em anymore. 😂
If you’re going to fly and draw on the plane, be careful with your supplies. Sometimes the ink will flow a lot due to the pressure in the cabin. The same can happen after you landed. 😅I once had a posca ink explosion happen
I got the Uniball AIR pens thanks to a previous video of yours and I've been using them every day for Inktober. They're an awesome cross between a ball point and calligraphy pen!
HI JESS, YOU ARE WELL ORGANIZED TO TRAVEL, I HOPE WE CAN SEE YOUR VIDEOS WHEN YOU ARE IN EUROPE. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT YOU WILL BE VISITING AND PAINTING. BYE MARIA
Would you be willing to tell us more about the clear plastic zippered bag? It looks like the perfect solution to my travel pack problem, but I can’t find anything like it anywhere. Was there a brand name with it? Also, I love your array of inks…I hope to be brave enough to draw with ink one day. Thanks for sharing!!
I just would like to note that there is a limitation for liquids on EU flights - most probably all the inky pens, liquid gouache and such would need to be taken out and put into a small clear plastic bag for a security check. It should come with the airline info though.
One time, they made me dig up my chapstick from my suitcase and it was super stressful digging through everything in a full airport with people hurrying you 😅 And its not even a liquid
Hey Jess. Just a question. How was it travelling with the air tight pallet? I’ve been tossing up whether or not to take one with me, due to I’m not sure how it will handle to pressure in a plane.
Love urban sketching! This video was really helpful and btw the multliner copic ink pens are my absolute favourite! I cant find the link for your black pencil case could you link it here?
Was thinking of taking a gouache stay wet palette on a flight recently but assumed airlines would treat it as liquid & it would have to be checked. I assume you didn’t check your backpack - so TSA didn’t stop you from carrying it on the plane? So curious!
Just watched a video of Danny Gregory, who recommends empty fountain pens and filling them after you've been on the plane. But maybe you already have experience with that?
I think my comment got flagged cause I cant see it no more ? :( I sent a comment a few days ago to ask what flower they were cause I couldn't see them listed on pateron or instagram. I recognise some of them but can't tell if the others that I don't were native aussie flowers?

The backpack with camera and room for art supplies. I am in my 50s and have been looking all my adult life. Thank you.

Yesss this is such an amazing comment! Thank you so much 😍😍😍
I got a fanny pack for this reason. I so wish I could get into using an a6 so everything would fit in it, but I just can't 😢
But where did you get that pencil case ? It’s so cute and I love that the zippers snap on to close 🖤
That was some lovely eye candy for artists! I hope your art trip is wonderful! ❤🎨👩🏻🎨
THIS INSPIRES ME TO MAKE ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woohoo! yay

HAVE FUN! I had a blast the last time I went over there.
What a wonderful backpack! I filled a small pencil case recently to solve the too many choices in a big box problem. Have a wonderful trip!
This video made my day. My parents came to my college to see me for fall break and they left today. I was very sad, but this helped the tears. The tips were awesome too since storage is limited here 🙂
