So I built my own off grid home, this is how it went

I was inspired to build my own home that would be disconnected from any utilities and ultimately self sustaining. I found a 6 acre plot and went to work. I hope to have everything paid off soon so I won't have any mortgage or utility payments. I will post a part 2 showing the finished product and the components I used. I recommend Eco-Flow and RPS.solar.

Thanks! There were a few reasons I did a raised foundation instead of slab on grade. I saw a single photo of a similar build and I liked the way it looked. I also wanted to be able to run my plumbing and electric after I was done building it because I was unsure of the interior layout. Some of the other reasons are : I wanted to do everything by myself, critters and snakes cant walk straight in, possible erosion from the hillsides, my dogs have a cool place to lay in the summer, and an area for storage and plumbing and electrical expansion.

look at the land area i would remove that 11:38 area
the area above the house at 10:16 and 9:34 and 7:22 and 5:55 and my real worry is flooding in the area ......i would remove them
other then that its great and nice view you did a nice job
