You two about gave me a heart attack . Your doing great . I wanted to come right through the screen and help. Proud of you both for your determination and hard work.
What an absolutely lovely couple you are. Plenty of care shown for each other. I was cringing a bit with some of the "processes", but for people who are just winging it, (I assumed with some of the comments), I think you are wonderful. My new favourite channel. Looking forward to seeing what other escapes you get up to 😃😃
That color really isn't that dark. And I think if you do the trim lighter, I think you will be more than happy with what you went with. I would just do a stain, a sealer stain, on the windows and leave it at that, and I think it will be more than fine.
You guys are doing such an amazing job and so much progress! I know that feeling of crying when your tired or just when you think something is going to come out different in your head. These videos are so fun to watch❤ Love you Tess
I’m so glad to see that you’re staining the siding. One area that needs heavy stain is the bottom edge. That’s where it will rot the quickest as it’s where it gets the most weather. I’m currently having to have my well house siding replaced because the bottom edges weren’t stained and have rotted. My siding is fine till you get to the bottom 12 inches or so. Just an fyi.
Spray soda on the panels and let it dry a little. Then you can walk on the metal without slipping. One of my neighbors up in maine told me about that trick because I almost fell off the roof twice.
You guys doing great. Stick to it and you will have a cabin to be proud of. One thing I would recommend, is to purchase a stand-off for the top of your ladder. Not only will you be able to work above the ladder, it will also give you a place to hang tools and rest boards.
So now my Alaska Trio is complete now with Home Sweet Home Alaska, Alaska Cabin Adventures and Truck House Life!! Steve and Tess great build and look forward to more Home Sweet Home Alaska.
Slow down you too I know you’re in a rush Because you’re leaving to go to the fishing lodge to work for the summer, but slow down and take a deep breath laugh out loud!! Love, granny!!
You have made great progress and the outcome is looking great. Just take it careful and think it through before you do each process. Be safe and be careful
“Did it fall on your head?” “Just a little bit, it’s not bad.” 😂😂😂 That’s vintage Steven King right there. I must say, I am thoroughly enjoying this whole series. The editing is really great too, super enjoyable to watch 😊
Good job guys ! The cabin looks great :) It's dried in & you didn't break your neck that's the main thing, You can never have to many ladders when your building ! Been there done that bare feet works good as long as your feet are are not to dry , Stay safe guys !
Great to meet you guys I follow few channels and hope to move that way myself I still Live in Louisiana but do construction work anyway be safe great to see your videos
Tess, I wonder if you could white wash over the darker color that you don't like?.. Look into it. You both did a great job! Your husband is so positive through the whole difficult build process, bravo!! 👏 🥰
I like the pitch of your roof that should help take the snow off. it's not quite almost an A-frame nice job man I liked it it looks good. You both are just absolutely phenomenal thank you I guess I'm trying to say it's really nice to see that you're both so invested.
You should close in the bottom to so that the floor stays warmer than being cold. To bad you did not put some foam insulation Nailed to the floor with plywood over the foam to hold it into place.
I like the IDEA of off grid, building and living in the bush...but I'd probably get deet poisoning. hahaha !! Mosquitos just love me. Best of luck !! :)
You guys are doing a great job I cried with you I get the same way when you work so hard then you feel defeated but the color looks really great God bless looking forward to next video
Hi. From the drone shots it looks like your cabin is on a cleared lane in the forest. Is it natural, did you need to clear it or was it done by a previous owner? When you get a chance I’d be interested in a video tour of your lot if you feel you could do that without compromising your privacy.
If you get on a roof you should be wearing tennis shoes with the rubber soles. Never try to walk on a steep metal roof. Professional use a crane and never walk on the metal. Good luck you two. Later
I can't tell you the importance of leather gloves when framing a house or working with sheet metal! Splinters and cuts are brutal and can get infected and cause you to lose some digits on your hands!!!!
You two are scary to watch! Just waiting to see which one of you is going to get hurt next or start crying. I hope you both have life insurance policies. Besides that good luck. 😂
You two about gave me a heart attack . Your doing great . I wanted to come right through the screen and help. Proud of you both for your determination and hard work.
When I’m tired I cry too! The paint color is nice! You guys are doing a great job and should be proud of yourself! Enjoy the process!
Aww, Thank you Ann! It's growing on me. ❤

A good old fashioned hammer and nails works wonders. Looks great! 🙂
And as the paint choice it looks great
You're really using your head in this one, Steve. Proud of you guys and excited to come visit sometime!
What a fantastic ride!! Well done you two!💪🇺🇸

Good to know! We will definitely listen to your advice on this one! Thank you.
Spray soda on the panels and let it dry a little. Then you can walk on the metal without slipping. One of my neighbors up in maine told me about that trick because I almost fell off the roof twice.
That's a great tip! I will keep that one in my back pocket for next time.

First time watching your build. The cabin is looking great. I subscribed so i can keep up with the build.
Tess, I wonder if you could white wash over the darker color that you don't like?.. Look into it. You both did a great job! Your husband is so positive through the whole difficult build process, bravo!! 👏 🥰
Looks very well built, fantastic Job, needs window in loft...
thank you! Loft window is our next task :)
You young guys doing a great job.

Improvise adapt and overcome! Sounds like you're in the Marines
Nice work and cooperation. A little tips, use clamps. Gives you an extra hand on many occasions. Greetings from Norway 😊
You guys can get paint remover to remove dark color and then go the color you want to go with
Stuff tastes like dirt water to me 😂. Those windows are gonna be awesome.
I like the IDEA of off grid, building and living in the bush...but I'd probably get deet poisoning. hahaha !! Mosquitos just love me. Best of luck !! :)
PS. Good tip with flipping the blade
Very nice
Great work! By the way, you might want to buy some clamps. It takes a ton of stress off when you're trying to hold and nail boards at the same time.
What a team!
Your Doing awesome, in some of those tricky spots don’t be afraid to just use a framing hammer and nails, guns are great in most spots but not all!
Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the tip!
Just wondering how far you are from the nearest emergency room. Be careful!plan out your moves.
Greetings from Brandenburg 🇩🇪👍🏠
Take a 5 gallon bucket wire handle and take it off , make a j hook and belt loop in one and take the gun up hooked to your hip.
Excellent work!
Thank you! We’re trying :)
Just one question: "How far away is the next hospital?"
Good vid, good job learn as you go call Matt next time from East Kentucky USA Nomad Mountain Man
You guys are doing a great job I cried with you I get the same way when you work so hard then you feel defeated but the color looks really great God bless looking forward to next video
Thank you Teresa, I'm sure I will love the color more when the trimming is done too. ❤
Keep up the great work, it's worth it. You might benefit from a decent set of clamps as a third hand.

Those two sources attacks your Kidneys.
I hate them stpid air guns for all them reasons.. but you guys didn't give up.
Thank you! They are a pain!
For no experiance you guys are doing a great job. Wont be long and youi will be finished.
I, m sure you know a scaffold would be better and safer, stay safe.
When you live in the bush, you learn to make do with what you have on hand. It may not be the best option, but it gets the job done.
LMAO "somewtimes you make me so mad, this is what I want to do to you."
🤣😅
The caterpillar D8 nail gun is 50% of your troubles.
Osha: Am i joke to you?
Chào các bạn ❤

What is the size of ur Cabin?
12'x12'
I can't tell you the importance of leather gloves when framing a house or working with sheet metal! Splinters and cuts are brutal and can get infected and cause you to lose some digits on your hands!!!!
Wear Safety Glasses or you take the chance of loosing your eye!
A tiny house can't even put queen size bed or a comfortable kitchen !!!
The queen size bed is already in the loft with room to spare 😆
You two are scary to watch! Just waiting to see which one of you is going to get hurt next or start crying. I hope you both have life insurance policies. Besides that good luck. 😂
I hope OSHA is not watching your build. They would fly in an army and invade your job site. Slow and careful wins the race.
You two need to wear microphones, it's really hard to make out what you're saying.
Thank you for the advice! We will definitely have to get some ASAP 😊
