⭐ 16” LG Gram Pro: geni.us/p2yb (affiliate) ⭐ 15” M3 MacBook Air: geni.us/6iOdDj (affiliate) What's up everyone?! I hope this comparison of the M3 MacBook Air and the 16” LG Gram Pro was helpful. Did I cover what you wanted to know? What else did you want to see or learn about? Which one would you choose and what would you use it for? I am grateful in advance 🙏
I have a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro with i7 and 16GB. My Apple M1 Mac Mini has 8GB. From my experience, it's much easier to install and run Linux on my Samsung than it is on my Apple. I run Fedora on both, and I like how BOTH of them run. Linux on the Apple has some screen tearing, but it's serviceable. That said, I would not buy an Apple Silicon MacBook if I needed a new laptop anymore, because for now an Intel-based laptop requires less fiddling to get Linux to work. Since Linux is NOT designed to run on Apple Silicon, I can also say it runs hotter than macOS Sequoia. Hoping that the manufacturers get chips like the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite to better run Linux-on-ARM in the future. I know: good luck with that. They're more interested in putting AI "features" on chipsets these days. This was a very interesting video and closely follows my little hobbyist-style experiment with ARM vs x86!
*I absolutely love everything about M3 chips the way they perform on battery and their optimization and graphic performance, but same windows counter part gives OLED 120hz screen with 16gb 512gb and 180 degrees screen, just after 1 or 2 genrations that is by 2025 intel AMD XElite will catch up to mac, i hate mac for their close ecosystem 8gb 256gb storage and other crap*
Apple is rumored to bump up the specs of base to add more ram and storage in the new M4. This only means maybe windows with upgrade their base specs in next few years.
Thanks for another great comparison. I'm giving the nod to the M3 MBA for two reasons: First, I live primarily in the Apple world but, to me more importantly, if I were in the market to replace my Windows laptop I think there are currently better options available.
Looking forward Luna lake Gram Pro next year. It will be almost perfect. I'm using gram pro 17 2024, as frontend developer I absolutely love it. I can't ever go back small and heavier laptop
On UK prices, Amazon specifically, you can buy the M3 Pro MB Pro 14 for £90 more than the LG Gram Pro. This is because the M3 will likely be discontinued next month, with the M4 being released. The Core Ultra in the LG Gram became obsolete yesterday with the release of Core Ultra 2, so £1800 for the LG Gram is a tough buy. If you want the LG, I would wait 4-6 months and get a massive discount; it is overpriced as of late September 2024. I have had multiple LG Grams, and they are very durable and reliable devices. Although I always favour my MB Pro, it is a good choice for Windows users. However, I never buy them retail at launch, and I always get a massive discount.
Nice vid, good comparison. However, i dont think you mention if the lg gram is made out of plastic, and if thats why its lighter? The mba is all body aluminum. Thanks again!
Thanks for another great video! I'm looking at a LG Gram Pro 17" vs a MacBook Pro 16". Not sure if you have done this head-to-head but am going to look through your content now :). I've read about head problems on the LB Gram as well :(
Macbook air has 8gb of ram, 60hz and 500nits of brightness. Just buy the oneplus pad 2, with 12gb of ram, a 3k 144hz display, 4 speakers, face recognition, Snapdragon gen 3 and for 500€ it comes with the pen included and a cover...
Thank you for reviewing the 16” Windows machine. Ideally I’d like a 17” but I don’t think they make those anymore. Edit: Apparently Gram does make 17” laptops. Great!
I don't like this trend of moving laptops to OLED. Burn-in & lifespan are huge issues, which as of yet, there are no solutions to. I hope Apple never moves to this tech.

Please do a review on the lenovo tab plus, seems to be the new budget king for folks who dont need a full keyboard cover but still want pen support.
Good solid comparison, thx. FYI, you forgot to link to the external storage options that you claimed to in the video.
OMG - thanks so much for reminding me. I’ll do it as soon as I’m back at my desk. I appreciate you for being part of the channel!
@@TechGearTalk Sorry to beat a dead horse... but you still haven't linked to those external storage options. 🤣

Thanks so much for watching!!! The 17” uses the LCD display I mentioned. I appreciate you for being part of the channel!
Hello brother,

Your video is informative ❤
Working on it! Stay tuned!
hey question do you think the ipad 9 for 127 brand new from a trusted seller is worth it?
Hi. Is LG running on native resolution at @10.30 min? The icons look huge imo
Default scaling on lg gram in 150%.

Where's the S10!!!
Any day now! 😉 I’m almost done.
