I think a good accessory to have for the Quest is a magnetic charger that can detach so if you are playing VR while charging the cord while just pop out preventing damage.
@Magic Myco You're correct, it could and usually does break immersion. I won't see it being useful for most VR games where you grip, swing, fire and touch a lot of objects. However it's a strong feature for interfacing and simple 'non-gaming' tasks. But most importantly, hand tracking opens up the VR platform for the enterprise market and people with disabilities. So I believe it's potential can be worth developing and perfecting.
The upgrades I made to my Quest that I highly recommend: 1: DAS (Vive Deluxe Audio Strap) otherwise known as FrankenQuest. The BEST comfort upgrade 2: AMVR face cover (comes with 2 thickness sizes and a very excellent nose piece to block light leakage) 3: VRCover head support for the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap (makes the back of the strap even more cushy) 4: KIWI Hand straps for the controllers 5: Power bank for 3 to 4x extra play time. I use the EasyAcc power bank that shows the charge percentage 6: Generic camera hard case with pull and pluck foam (£30 on eBay) so you can create your own custom case.

@@Little_Miss_Carrex I will say that I can see a lot better in VR than I can normally but I do definitely still need either my glasses or the adapter. With that being said I can barely make out what anything is without them so my case is probably a bit more extreme than most. I also can't get any sense of depth without them as well due to one eye being substantially worse than the other. So when grabbing objects, this is not an exaggeration, I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's 5 foot away or 20. foot away.

What about replacing the stock strap with the Vive deluxe audio strap? You may need to put a little work to make this happen (Either with velcro or some 3D printed adapters), but many people online have recommended others to buy this DIY upgrade as it improves comfort, audio, and balances out the weight distribution of the headset.
Yeah a lot of people have done it, I haven't yet as I don't have the immediate need for it. That and the fact that it is incredibly hard to find now that Vive has discontinued it and the prices online are getting higher and higher.

Yes the Quest has a built in Mic. As far as the Anker battery the cable it comes with is a micro USB so you will need a cable. I'm not in front of my PC right now but I'll try to grab a link later and post it.

I love the AMVR grips. I still need to figure out how to nest the controllers together with the grips on to fit into the Oculus Quest case (without removing the grips). I see in the video it is possible.

Just a comment on the TENAVOLTS as the recommended Rechargeable Battery (sorry for the essay). P.S. Love the channel! I know they are Li-Ion AA batteries, and good. But I'm not too sure if they are better than the Eneloop PRO's or the IKEA Ladda (if you are being price conscience). The Tenavolts are amazing for their purpose. But for high drain devices like the Quest controllers, the capacity of them are just not high enough. They are marketed as 2775 mWh, which is deceiving to label them as mWh (instead of the standard mAh of other batteries). 2775 mWh is actually around ~1800mAh @1.5V, but lots of others report much less capacity for the Tenavolts. The Eneloop PRO's and IKEA Ladda's are both around ~2500mAh, and designed for high-drain devices. Namely they will require less swapping out of the AA's, and still have a high cycle rate (~500 times). Compared to 1000 for the Tenavolts. Even the normal Eneloops (~2000mAh @ 2100 cycles) are a better deal vs the Tenavolts. The discharge rate is amazing for the Eneloops as well (about 15% over a year for the pros, and 3% a year for the normal). But doesn't really matter for the quest controllers, since they are very high drain devices, and need recharging after about a week. Which is what the PROs were designed for. The Tenavolts don't really give you anything over the Eneloops I think, except for a fast recharge rate (which doesn't matter since most are charging a set while using a set). However the Eneloop does have a Quick Charger which will charge in around the same time as the Tenavolts. I would recommend the Eneloop PRO's as the choice rechargeable battery. And if you think they are too expensive, then the IKEA Ladda's which are great at just slightly less performance, but a fraction of the price.
Must have: Deluxe audio strap or comfort padding for back (I think AMVR) makes it and AMVR custom face interface + pad. Couldnt recommend the Quest without those comfort mods.

Doesn't take a lot of effort to end up pushing $300 on Quest accessories. My advice would be Knuckle Straps, VR Cover, a power bank for extra juice and a counterweight, an AMVR head strap pad, top strap to make it more comfortable. That can all be had for around $100.
I highly recommend the FrankenQuest mod! Vive Deluxe Audio Strap. I've had my quest since launch and never even heard of it until last month. It is worth it!

They did offer me a refund though and have recently emailed me saying that the improved design is ready to sell. I have also bought a link cable, face pad, and case from them and all of those turned out to be pretty good. Because of that, I'm planning on just getting their strap and waiting it out.
i would recommend getting a lens adapter for it. they are normally used for not having to use glasses but you can get them without the prescription. this essentially guarantees that if you ever get a scratch it would be a $40 set of lenses being damaged and not the headset itself. as for headphones i use a set of bose QC 35s with a wireless adapter plugged into the headset's audio jack for bluetooth. you can bluetooth them directly to the headset but it breaks most games when you do.

If you're trying to get those hand grips with back straps and want to save some money, I just rubber banded the stock straps to about right over the home buttons on the controller and it personally feels more comfortable than the $20 grips my brother bought for hai quest

The vive deluxe audio strap was such a worthwhile investment. It's more comfortable and the audio is splendid
P.s. they're available direct from the vive store for $99 usd so you don't have to go to ebay. I just bought mine and it's great

Any AMVR product you buy comes with a lens cover which works great.

The Anker Powercore 10000 comes with a Micro-B to USB A cable. The length is good but it doesn’t have USB C to plug into the Quest.

i would recommend getting a lens adapter for it. they are normally used for not having to use glasses but you can get them without the prescription. this essentially guarantees that if you ever get a scratch it would be a $40 set of lenses being damaged and not the headset itself. as for headphones i use a set of bose QC 35s with a wireless adapter plugged into the headset's audio jack for bluetooth. you can bluetooth them directly to the headset but it breaks most games when you do.

If you're trying to get those hand grips with back straps and want to save some money, I just rubber banded the stock straps to about right over the home buttons on the controller and it personally feels more comfortable than the $20 grips my brother bought for hai quest
