This is great material ! I can fully relate as a former bodybuilder enthusiast, traveler, and one who discovered the deeper connections between exercise , health, and self exploration. I used to feel guilty of even the thought of skipping traditional bodybuilding training in my early 20s. It was limiting in terms of social life and venturing out.
Like all relationships, one falls in and out of love with training, but trx and all minimal forms will stay with you and reignite that appreciation for self improvement.

Just got a trx on Tuesday and I am loving it! Insane how intense it is when focusing on ROM and tension.

Fantastic to hear Matt, it really is. Technique mastery preceding hard work is the key! Bets of luck with your training

Great interview, your passion and enthusiasm really comes through. The TRX and your training programmes have changed my fitness training completely. I am getting better gains, and body composition than I did in my twenties, and I am now 56. I agree, the mind to muscle connection, and slowing down the movements is much more important than swinging big weights like I see all the time.

Very kind thank you, huge grattitude for your comment. Really pleased to hear how the Program has helped. I can attest to the same at 34. Persoanlly feel and look better than I did in my young twenties lifting too heavy with poor form and a large ego with external thoughts. Minduflness and skill aquisition should preceede hardwork.

@@fitnessfreedomathletes 100% agree, I can't believe you don't have many more subscribers! There are many charlatans out there selling snake oil with 100's of thousands of followers, and your programs really work, and you are available to offer sound advice at any time. Oh well, I guess that is the fickle world of the internet. Keep it going mate :)

I've been following your routine for three weeks after spending three months of doing no exercise in lockdown and I just want to say thank you for helping me to love exercising again. I hated the thought of ever going back to a gym again, they just make me feel disorientated and distressed.
I do have a few questions though and i wondered if you could answer them? The first one is, you say that the TRX is no good for strength training, does that mean you cannot get stronger with them but you can build muscles or am I missing something? My second question is, what can I do with the TRX that can train me to do a pull up? Just rows? Do I even need to train myself to do a pull up hahahah? And my last question is: you mention resistance bands are also something you use, why do you need both? Thank you from a British student doing a year abroad in Germany and looking for ways to stay fit in student accommodation!

Hey there, thank you for your comment and really glad to know you're finding exercise enjoyable through a TRX. It sounds over the top to say, but it can be life-changing in my opinion for the very reasons you've mentioned. To answer your questions (excuse the direct shortness):
1 - You can and will build strength (thus muscle) with correct form TRX training. I was referring to professional strength athletes such as powerlifters and those who want to improve on Olympic lifts.
2 - If you want to improve on pull-ups, then practice pull-ups. If you can't pull yourself up start by just focusing on the lower phase. Jump up hold yourself and lower slowly. Repeat. Over time you will increase strength and can progress to the pull-up phase.
3 - Resistance bands offer a different form of tension training on the muscle. A tool for added variety and training stress. Just like a bar and a machine.
Hope that answers them, best of luck with your training.
