That looks a lot like my average week lol Great video, it really shows the weird and subtle frustration of working by yourself for yourself, it's a bitter sweet way to make a living for sure
Like the cobblers children that have no shoes (or worn shoes) - the Midnight Paint & Body guys wife’s winter rims only get to be ‘a little more gooder’ - yet you still made them look good.
When you said u were taking donations for the homeless, and pointed at the cardboard box, it made me chuckle 😂 😂 it's awesome that u make the effort tho...love the channel 💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🧰🪛🔧🔨🗜🔩🛠👊
I have had good results using isopropyl alcohol and wiping the plastic off until my towel is clean . I worked in a ford factory repairing paint issues .
For whatever reason, the mold release agent they use on this body kit junk is horrendous. Raw plastic is always tricky, but not like this. I’ll try that if I ever get stuck with this stuff again 👍🏼
Another important point when working from home is everyone at home needs to understand that during working hours, you're at work. You're not there to work on things around the house or help with menial tasks. It should be as if you're away from home at your job. All that other stuff can wait until you "get home from work."
Just making videos for TH-cam isn't that easy, considering all the work it takes just to load what it is you want to show ! People have always thought this type of work was easy and can be done cheaply, the materials it takes to work with have doubled or tripled in price ! When will people ever wake up ?
Just wondering how you transitioned from leaving your 9 to 5 job to going in your own and keep a steady work flow? It's something I've been wanting to do for a while now. Thanks John always enjoy the videos
I’ve always worked from my home shop on the side, but just word of mouth, not trying to charge like chip foose, and I suppose already being known in the industry, I’ve never once had to worry about what I’m working on next week. Collision shops won’t touch rust repair, and new trucks being 100K, there’s no shortage of guys wanting to keep them alive 👍🏼
@@Johnnymidnight I do a lot of work at home rust repair as well, and I do very good work, been doing autobody and paint for 20 years, just would rather do this rather then working for someone else. Thanks for the reply.👍
So any ideas where I can find a local small shop ( folks like Johnny and RCCustom) near me that will do Rust Repair…. Who should I be asking? Because most shops are only interested in ‘collision’ work.
One man shop myself, so so true about the after hours drop offs and making your self have a set schedule. You do great work!
Thank you 👊🏼
Thanks for sharing. I'm a one man shop, too. It's nice to see the little guy making it work!

A little gooder is the equivalent to pretty good 😂

I suppose that could be seen as a tiny home…😂. Actually ended up with a huge load of stuff to take to the shelter 😉

Yes, that’s a great point. The work day has to be just that 👍🏼
Looks like the rear driver side door was painted on the silver vw
Could be, actually never noticed

It’s gotten completely out of hand. Body filler, sand paper, tape, just the basic stuff, has gone through the roof in cost

Once you get your name out, and build a reputation for getting the jobs out, on time and on budget, the work will keep coming 👊🏼
