  • Hello and welcome to my channel. Thanks to Belinda at our local Habit for Humanity for letting me know that some walnut lumber had been donated and was available for purchase. The material wasn't perfect having some knots, cracks and other random defects; but I knew it would eventually make its way into something nice. In this video I will show you most of the steps I used, some different than normal, to create an offset brick style segmented bowl out of Walnut and locally sourced Hard Maple.

Really nice bowl. I like the geometric pattern and appreciate the step by step walk through.

Thank you from the most hip person I know! The walk through was easy even without a crutch!

Very nice! Inspire me to do something similar with some 2” Cherry slabs I have on hand. Subbed your channel and will be back to watch more.

Beautiful use of walnut. Shows off the grain.
Is the outside surface of the walnut face grain? As opposed to edge grain. Looks like the end grain are the glued together.

Thank you! Yes the end grain is glued together. This is fine on segmented bowls. Cheers, Michael
