Penon is underrated. They have great tuning, excellent for Rock, Metal, EDM, and DnB in my experience, and has an addicting sound. If you're looking for detail and neutral tuning, P8.
Having just received the Performer 8 I concur with your excellent review.
Try a good seal tips i.e. foam tips change a better cable burn in longer 200 hours,a good dac , then you'll fall in love with the p8,eq lower the mids too , just sharing my own experience.Thank you cheers.
Foam tips is required for better Bass Response. The p8 loves power , the p8 has really really good driver , I'm using 2W or 2000mw driving them lower the mid with eq you get no harshness, a flawless listening with Topping e70 velvet dac , just phenomenal in quality, superb texture, body note weight sooo enjoyable..... Thank you.
Treat it better with a high quality cable, you'll fall in love with the p8 haha.....
I just can't let go of my Oxygen after all these years even after I purchased Xenns Top and EJ07M. I always get back to it.
The bass gets much better over time. A lot more pronounced after 400-500 hours of play.
Why?
@@buelow123P8 take time to burn in, only higher quality drivers needs to do this .a good dac , they sound amazing.mid bass punch is not enough but sub bass is phenomenal.every note sound in high quality with P8.
I use foam tips it works better for bass Thank You.
@@buelow123high quality drivers needs burn-in longer periods of time,200+ hours is ideal, if less than that they don't sound good, some high end speakers have to do the same, the longer the better for breaking it in.
Some IEM sound horrible in the beginning then after burn in enough time, everything changed and become beautiful and sweet.thank you.
You going to review the Falcon ultra? I’d like a comparison to the o2. Many are saying it’s actually better, but o2 still has a larger stage. Btw try the penon ae with spiral dots. Good stuff

Thanks! 😄 The Phoenixcall imo acctually has more detail in the highs, but is more fatigueing and less controlled. The midrange is a complete opposite to the P8. The P8 has very forward mids and more detailed mids while the Call has very recessed mids. The bass is much more pronounced on the call but overall lower quality imo. Stage is wider and imaging is better on the P8. Hope this helps!
@@PraisedAudio it does help man, thanks. I want more macro-detail/ macrodynamics than micro detail which I think call is good at it right?
I'd say the call actually has more micro details but it's a bit "flat" sounding. Less depth.
@@Mykeogunsp8 has the most details in its range, spinfit w1 sounds the best for me. Also p8 takes eq very very well. Make it sound however you want with no distortion.

Penon ae is for fun, p8 is for neutrality. Also the 10th does have a large stage, but I’m assuming the spinfits are congesting it.
They didn't have much of a stage on any of the tips is my testing. 🤷♂️

Are your top 3 IEMs the Performer 8, Penon 10th, followed by the Oxygen? Have you heard the Penon Fan2?
They are some of the favorite I own and have reviewed, but there are iems that I like more (but can't afford atm 😂😅). I would also add the EJ07 to that list. I also use the SeeAudio rinko a lot.
I have not tried the fan 2 sadly :/, though I have heard the 10th uses a very similar or even the same bass drivers as the fan 2 😶

Give u a tips bro...Start with freq ranges.. as a start towards perfections audiophiles.. Not freq response k But ranges.. Just dumb 20-20 stuff.. Its 4 noobs in iem, They easily trick u in this ranges.. Next.. We keep in touch.. My current best pick iem 4 world ranks is Grand maestro frm fatfreq.. Peace!
