On "My Car Story" we're at the Carlisle Events in Carlisle PA on 7-9-20.
We're looking at a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX “Survivor” in Blue Paint. The car comes with the factory 440 CI engine, and a manual 4 Speed transmission.
The car's Owner is Anne Kriebel. Anne’s had this car since 2019. She shares she had a Dodge Hellcat, but realized, “Everyone has a Hellcat” and was looking for something more unique. Her husband sent her a picture of a car he found at a car collectors estate and she loved it and had to get it right away. Here is that car.

@@mark9531 3 grand in 1968 is the same as over 22 grand in today's money though. That's not exactly cheap for a kid with an after school job was it? I just googled minimum wage, which would have been most, if not all kids after school jobs and it was apparently $1.60 an hour. I mean even if they worked 4 hours a day after school, that's only $6.40 half probably payed for insurance and gas at best even at 34 cents a gallon, a kid with a big block and lead foot is going to tear through some gas at 10mpg or less haha.
There must of been a much different sense of overall income back then with more disposable income than there is today? Or perhaps it's more selfishness. You don't see parents willing to help buy kids drive 22 grand cars to school today. Different times for sure.
I'm gen X late 70's born, so I of course missed the era.

A woman after my own Heart, I too felt the same way i had a 2001 C5 Corvette Convertible manual 6 spd back in 2006, Great car nothing wrong with it, but it seemed like they where all over the place at the time. I ended up selling the car and replacing it's spot in the garage with a 1975 C3 like I had had many years ago same color and options. I still have the 1975 C3 and I'm very Happy with it. You see nobody really has a really nice old one in my area especially a 75. Most people destroyed them and never saved them because everybody wanted the chrome bumper cars or the later big rear glass cars but the 74-77 C3s disappeared over the years.

I think I would cut out the rear wheel well to open it up so it's not skirted, other than that, these look pretty cool. I'm more fan of the next gens when they made the GTX an upscaled roadrunner. Oh, ok I see, yeah just one more year and they're a much hotter looking car. That said, it is a very nice car of course and in great shape. Hope she actually takes it out and drives it some, though I'm sure like most, it's too low mile. She destined to remain simply a collector no doubt, at this point.
