  • Hey guys! In this video, I continue on my 2nd flight aboard Sun Country Airlines to Chicago, Illinois! Sun Country is certainly not as well known as Spirit, Frontier, or Allegiant as an ULCC in the US, but they are by far the best of the three and I really enjoyed my experience flying them on both of my flights. I had never flown them before and really wanted to see what they were all about and I was pretty impressed (minus the disgusting smudges around the plane - CLEAN IT SC). We took off and arrived into ORD way early, had a very smooth boarding process, a nice smoothish flight with good scenery, nice FAs, free IFE onboard, USB ports aplenty, and a fairly empty plane which provided for excellent social distancing and lots of room for your legs. All in all, a good flight and I'll definitely be flying Sun Country again in the future if my travels allow it to happen. Hope you guys enjoy!

    I live in a western suburb of Chicago and love using the "L". The new 7000 series entering service soon I heard are assigned for the blue, brown and orange lines. There’s videos of them being tested on all lines.

    I hope you see this (or anyone who would like to share their opinion) I take a trip in a month and it’s my first plane ride ever and alone! How does takeoff and landing feels? I’m really scared of that part!

    • @theendofanerror4173
      @theendofanerror4173 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I guess I could say the takeoff for me the first time just felt like a little faster coach bus ride before leaving the ground and If you have a good pilot, landings shouldn't be eventful. Touching down felt like hitting a bump on the highway. Hope this helps!

    Great trip report, love your wing view. Legroom is surprisingly quite good. This plane also has USB ports, which I'd never expect to have on a LCC

    Thanks for the tip of where to sit on the plane for a skyline view. I'm planning a trip to Chicago in 2021 for my birthday and I will definitely remember that when I book my flight.

    "I really truly feel like we're on the rise and there's finally a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel with this virus..."
    Funny you said that. I literally read that and then got a notification on my phone that the more contagious Covid variants are spreading.
    As always, I enjoy your videos. I travel through them!

    Interesting how,riding the Blue Line to downtown,there was an ad for Allegiant,which flies to MDW but that is reached via the Orange Line! $38 for a carry-on? No thanks! If I had booked a 'Best' seat and there was no inflight service,regardless of distance,I would be upset--what am I paying extra for? Love the view of the lakefront and the Lincoln Park area on approach,can never go wrong with a view like that! Your flight to ORD is probably the first one in memory watching YT where it docks at the international terminal,thought it would park at the 'L' gates but not.

    About the long take-off roll. They probably used less then full throttle to save fuel and wear and tear on the engines. Also if the plane is going to just turn around and fly back to msp you might have carried enough fuel to do the whole round trip without getting fuel at Ord. Maybe fuel is cheaper at MSP??

    With the light at the end of the tunnel we are seeing destinations with higher demand than this time back in 2019 for leisure travel and everyone wants to go somewhere after getting vaccinated meaning flights full again, more passengers at airports again and I will want to travel again but the bad news is when businesses will let people work in the office again which I want to see and will allow business travel hopefully to takeoff late 2021 early 2022

    • @Camerenreynolds
      @Camerenreynolds 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. United is flying 6 (I believe) daily flights from Chicago to Tampa where it used to be 4. They are doing that to many more destinations from their northern hubs to leisure destinations. Also they are doing flights to Florida and other leisure destinations from cities that are not hubs such as Milwaukee to Fort Myers, etc. I’ve been on a lot of them, and they are packed. Hopefully, after vaccinations more business or less leisure and international picks up. But it’s already looking good

    • @Camerenreynolds
      @Camerenreynolds 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And other airlines. Just I usually fly United out of ORD so that’s what I know for sure, I’m sure other airlines and out of other hubs such as EWR are doing higher and more frequent flights to leisure.
