Climax reasoning v3 gives me that melancholic depressing feeling its a really beautiful tune but hearing this song while doing closing arguments always made me feel sad
I agree. Climax reasoning gives you that pumped up feeling, like you’re ready to finally put away that killer for good. But V3? This theme makes you feel sad that you’re putting the final nail in your friend’s coffin. You didn’t want it to end up this way, but you don’t have a choice.
If during the class trial in danganronpa 2 everyone can hear the music. I immagine everyone jamming to cross swords while Mahiru and Hajimeme scream at each other like Karens in a best buy at black Friday
Well, theoretically, since it’s all a simulation they probably *did* hear the music but their brains were wired to ignore it. That’s somewhat evident from the music becoming 16-8bit later on, and them realizing the code all around them. So I’d like to believe they did hear the music, but they wouldn’t notice because their brains were just programmed to think it’s just a normal part of life

its good i agree. but its quite forgetful in my opinion. in all the other osts the in game bgm from the action taken matches very well with the music, take the letter cube collect chimes in psyche taxi or slashes in rebuttal showdowns. even the name shouts and final push in scrum debate, all fit with the tracks running pretty nicely. this one's a sore thumb. it starts awesome, but gets progressively weaker, and does not blend well with the tiles turning bgm. just my opinion, and sorry for making this quite long. excavation imagination is one of the worst sound composition. the 2 others are found in the bonus modes, again in my opinion (in a game whose soundtrac is top notch, and i like them all very much) But personally, my fav ost of ALL of v3 is 'living in the lazy parallel world'

Climax Reasoning in V3 made me feel so guilty for sending my friends off to death. Especially the blackened for the first and fourth trials. The blackened in trial three can go rot for all I care!
chapter 1 and 4 really did get me in the feels. to be honest i always liked the blackened for chapter 3 throughout the game but i feel like they could have done something much more interesting with him. his ending was kinda stupid too, it would've been so much cooler if they used the real motive lol.

Not just for the obvious reason (which I won't name for spoilers), but also because it doesn't explore the truth vs. lies theme as well as it should. With the closing of the Hope's Peak arc, the writers could have used V3 as an excellent opportunity to juxtapose this new dichotomy against the old hope vs. despair dynamic. While what they ended up could be considered that, I think they could have made it much more explicit and in-depth. As it stands, at best the end looks like one from the Hope's Peak era, without actually being one.

However, as I eluded to in my first reply, I still think it could have worked, twist and all. It could have so easily been framed by Monokuma and the mastermind that the lie gives hope, where truth is full of despair. The cast can then counterpoint that true hope can only come from facing the truth, and a lie is despair in itself. It connects to the past of the series, while still setting up for an entirely new dynamic by killing the old status quo. Besides, it gives some actual pay-off to at least the themes that have been established. The biggest problem that remains is how meaningless the previous deaths were, and even that can be framed as them dying in a collective effort to reach the ultimate truth.

Climax Reasoning/Return (DR1/2) and Rebuttal - Cross Sword (DR2/V3) are probably my favorite of the bunch, especially the latter. Of course, all of the themes are great.

I just chose the characters that seemed to be the most heavily advertised. I picked them without any knowledge of the game. A more detailed explanation is in the description.
Definitely some inspiration Where as ace attorney is more logic and puzzle based, Danganronpa has a bit more action oriented mini games and a greater focus on a overarching plot (That's not to say one doesn't do what the other does, just a comparison)

But V3? This theme makes you feel sad that you’re putting the final nail in your friend’s coffin. You didn’t want it to end up this way, but you don’t have a choice.
V3 Murders are, mostly, depressing, hence the sad vibes of V3 Reasoning.
