Thank you for taking the time to review this. I just ordered one.
I was sold when I saw the belt hook
Yup same!
I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
Exactly the review I needed to see. I've done that exact demo clean up many times in my career.
Now I just want something 20v max with plenty of power to clean up my vehicles and around the house projects. This bad boy is perfect for my needs😎
Thanks for your professional opinion!
Thanks for the comment! I love this little vac, make sure to purchase a couple extra filters. They are cheap on amazon
That is awesome!!! Thanks for another great review! I will be getting one soon!
That is awesome thanks for another great review I will definitely be getting one!
Nice…thanks! Since we have like 50 DeWalt batteries for various tools… thought I might buy one of these to use inside my home for those times I need a quick picker-upper so I don’t have to pull out my annoying, clumsy canister vac. Just might be the ticket…easy to hide in a closet or cabinet, too!
I have this vac. I love it. The portability is awesome
Go Berg!
Love that belt clip feature.
I've been waiting for this to come out even emailed Dewalt.
Seeing I have 20+ batteries for work and in season perfect for around the fireplaces and wood stoves. Doubt it will be destroyed by the wife and son like the others I've had. Excellent thank you for the review.
We use it everyday on our remodels!
I like mine pretty well except some stuff clogs it up easily. The nozzle is only 1 inch inner diameter. The rubber flap valve at the entrance to the dust tank clogs instantly when vacuuming wood chips around the wood stove. I might try cutting that flap out.
Just got mine and I love it!
Great video, really helpful showing it used in work applications. Thumbs up bro, liked and subbed!
Awesome video! Very informative and helpful
Best friggan review thank you! You answered all my questions and showed great enthusiasm all the while. I'm excited for this.
Glad I could help!
@@LandbergTileTV can you use it as a blower?
I like the belt/rafter hook, seems better than the Milwaukee kettle vac I've had the last few years.
Thank you for work.
This is a great video, I’m definitely getting one for my car :)
Yep, that's exactly what I need. Thanks
This small vac is awesome I love it, great video, my wife can use her Dirt Devil, I'm using the DeWALT
Awesome video I just got mine in today and loving so far
What's the best features about it would you say? Battery life? Suction power? Something else?
You convinced me, I'm ordering mine right now!
Have you received yours? If so, what’s the verdict?? I’m currently split as I’ve seen mixed reviews across multiple platforms regarding this particular vacuum. Thx in advance!
For the uses you are putting it through, a foam filter sock would provide longer run times between washing the hepa filters. Aftermarket ones are easily available from online retailers.
Great video!
Perfect. Excellent video and review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
What is the link for the quick connector from the vacuum to the circular saw, please
Only just came across this. Thanks for the review. On a purely suction power level, how does it compare to the wet/dry model that you showed? Thank you.
Very helpful!
I didnt even know this existed i want it now🔥🔥🔥
We use it every day!
Я вчера купил в home Depot пылесос ridgid. И посмотрев твое видео хочу вернуть его и купить этот vacuum cleaner. Спасибо за обзор, бро!
Its a neat looking model I may add to my online store. I'm on E Crater under the defleppard11 handle as well as Bonanza the same handle. Say BTW. They look like standard 1 1/4" attachments, yes? I'm also thinking about pairing it up in my store with a batt powered Electrolux power nozzle for to use inside on carpets
Wish it worked like the Dyson handheld cordless vacs where I can dump the contents without splitting it into multiple pieces. Does it support that DeWALT AirLock or whatever they call it or do I still need an adapter to use it as a dust extractor with my DeWALT DCS438? Didn’t see any mention of DeWALT’s proprietary vacuum connector but it seems kinda silly to market a dust extractor function without that.
Right i've got to get one of these , looks ideal to use with my cordless Dewalt orbital sander. Thanks.
We use it every single day on our remodels
My GF and I were looking at cordless vacuums all day yesterday. Guess what she's coming home to tonight.... lol
Whatttttttt you can hook it to you saw and belt!!!! Im sold!
This is very useful video!
Glad you think so!
I believe you got the hoses for the two mixed up, the 5’ domes with the wet/dry
Great vid, with jobsite samples...! Question: Dewalt DWH161N or this the DCV501? (In terms of vaccum power and capacity)
Man that looks perfect for cleaning ceiling fan blades. You can use one hand to hold the blade and the other to vacuum with the vacuum attached to your waist.
Great idea
there is other model that can be better for this, that is hanged on the strap.
Do you use the man shaver first or do you like the added cushion from the Bush and its gobbles your gollox or is there a lite setting I mean we only want it to extra the cream only not the jam.
I’m so sick of tripping over the cord and hose of my shop vac to pick up a tiny bit of dust from a customers home. Plus half the time in older apartments it’s never easy to find a free outlet to use. This looks like the perfect solution. Looks like it’s a bit more useful than the dcv517 with the attachments.
I just bought one. Nice review
Right on!
what piece would i need to connect this to my dewalt orbital sander?
Where can you get this bad boy @? I’ve never ran into one b4 & I be always shopping for Dewalt tools I use .. Thanks .. Or does this come out in a future date ? I’m in Dallas Texas
Thank you
Wish the wide floor attachment was nicer
Does it suck well? How does it compare to a Dyson?
Cool I just ordered one. I think I'll like it.
I love it
@@LandbergTileTV How did you get it to attach to your skilsaw/circsaw and/or the 3-in cutoff tool (in your other videos)? I just bought this vacuum specifically for use in dust extraction with DeWalt products (sander, router, etc), and I can't seem to find any that fit. I even spoke with DeWalt and they said that this vacuum isn't compatible with any other products of theirs. Did you duct tape it on or something?
Will the hose extractor connect to the vacuum wand?
Great video, I’m definitely getting one. What attachment do you have on the circular saw?
The plastic piece that connects the saw to the hose is included with the saw.
I had the 517. I just gave it to my kid, and since I don't really need the wet vac functionality, I replaced it with one of these. Order is in.
Quick question: My 517 had a QUIRK. It worked with all of my batteries EXCEPT for my power stacks. No idea why, but it would not power on with the power stacks. Does this one have the same issue?
Hello! Can you drop a link for battery and charger at Amazon? Thank you
Is this thing okay with drywall/compound dust?
Wood chips, leaves pine needles etc. clogs this thing immediately. The intake is only 1 inch inner diameter and there's tight clearance between the inlet and the filter. Anything bigger than about a half inch jams between the inlet and filter. The vacuum power is underwhelming. The dust bin holds about a pint but the filter will clog long before it's full. Calling it a work site vacuum is a stretch but it's handy & convenient for small (very small) jobs around the house. 2 stars out of 5.
Serious?! 😢
Agree . I’m taking mine back
Thanks! You answered the important questions. Can tell you put it to real life construction use. 👍🏼
This guy posts the same paragraph to every review of this, sounds a little bitter
Have u tried it on carpet steps
Like dewalt im looking for small hand held vac that can suck siding off the house. This one misses half the dust even on second pass.
Thanks for the video. I wonder if this will work fine with the sander.
It should
Надо было внутренности показать разобрать, из чего он сделан?
May I ask if you can show a video that shows all the dewalt tools you have and use??
Thank you big fan
Yup! Old video but here it is th-cam.com/video/fj3gesEKRpk/w-d-xo.html
@@LandbergTileTV thank you love the vids
I just won one of these in a Facebook tool giveaway. I’m now gonna be expected to clean up my own mess 😂
Give it to your wife. They do all the cleaning.
Will this work with my 18 v 5 amp xr batteries
Is the cross over to for the big tool company's to the house starting ? You should give this to your mum to test out around the house
lol you must not work in small bathrooms. My 10 gallon shop vac would not fit
Its biggest problem is what to do with all the attachments. Just more to lose. The included bag is convenient so you can lose it all at once.
silly question. would this work for a car vacuum and in the home for quick toddler spot-cleaning? Or is there something else better for those as the primary application? (i have full Dewalt line/batteries already)
Yes I use it but I’m sure there’s something better. It does the job for cleaning my car
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS! 1) whats the diameter of the flexible black hose? 2) does the end of the flexible black hose with the slanted opening come off somehow - for example by unscrewing it? need to know because I want to screw the flexible black hose into the Dewalt adapter, which has grooves made to fit a 35 mm hose (hence question #1). 3) whats the connection like between flexible black hose and the stiff plastic from the vacuum itself - does the diameter of the flexible hose end-piece narrow towards the flexible hose, so the stiff plastic bit can be pushed in for them to sit very snugly? worried that they might come apart if theres drag on the piece attached to the actual vacuum. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY!!!
1. 32mm flex hose, same as a henry hoover. 2. yes they unscrew, left hand thread. 3. tapered friction/push fit
Is this a dry vacuum only? Is it strong enough to catch the mouse for jetline? But sometimes there is water in those pipes
dry vac only
have you attempted to connect the hand held vacuum to the dewalt 3 inch cut off tool? i know the cut off tool has that airlock system on the hose, but wondering if it still could connect? and in your opinion, could the cut off tool cut thru tile and cement board at the same time (like removing existing tile walls) and making those cuts in wall before prying off those sections with a pry bar?
No I have not, but that's a good question regarding the airlock system. I don't think the cut off tool has enough power to cut through tile and hardi. I would go grinder.
thanks buddy. yes been using a grinder for years but connected to a vacuum kind of sucks, just bulky , so i wind up holding a sponge to the blade instead, but thats a little messy. wasnt sure if the cut off tool would work, does look underpowered for this type of work, but i would be neat if it did and connected to a small hose vacuum on your back ,like that dewalt one would be kind of cool.
Can the belt hook be used to hang this from a wall? Thinking about mounting it in the truck
I'm sure it can
Will this make a good home vacuum? Trying to find a vacuum for the house to vacuum our carpet. Thanks in advance
Get the right tool for the job. Why would you use this little thing for your home? 🤪
Of course you could.. I use it for my apartment.and car..got rid of big clumsy Dyson.. 😮its great. 🎉
How would this work around the house in areas with hard floors?
Works great on hard floors! The only drawback are the batteries, unless you are already on the Dewalt platform.
How did you connect it with circular saw... do i need to buy extra attachment?
I used electric tape, but I'm sure there are attachments.
It works better on carpets with the wand and cleaning head from a Henry Hoover. The DeWalt head is great on hard floors.
only just seen your comment about the henry hoover, dose the longer pipe off the henry fit the main body of the dewalt, cos thats my only concern about buying this. mostly hard wood floors in my house you see.
@@gadgy5264 yes, it fits
Thanks another mate,I found the filters in China to.£7for two instead of £30 from default. Happy days!!
Hello, good day. Im just curious if it is advisable to use a flexvolt battery on non-Flexvolt tools? I saw a video and read a review that said if you use a Flexvolt battery on a non-flexvolt Tool it will burn the motor fast.
We use flexvolt on non on a daily basis for the past 4 years with no problems
@@LandbergTileTV thanks
Can it be used without the filter so you have more room for the debris?
Not sure, haven't tried that yet. We rinse out the filter every week or so..
Not me watching this because i wanna use it as an every day hardwood floor vacuum.
Can you hook it up to DeWalt's 20v miter saws?
What adapter are you useing with the circular saw?
Electric tape, but there are adapters out there
Would this work on a dewalt cordless grinder when cutting tile?
Yes with a dust shroud
How would it handle a stray bolt or screw? That’s my only concern otherwise I’m sold
No bolts, but yes on drywall screws
So does the machine come with a 9amp battery? If not. How much more will we have to pay to get one?
He’s doing an independent product review , he’s not your PA lol. Google it .
Cleaning? This is a major question as far as I am concerned? Filter (without cyclon tech) must become a clogged mess fast, and cleaning it is a dirty job. Am I wrong?
We pull out the filter and smack it in a trash can, not a big deal. You can purchase a 4 pack of filters for $19.00.
amzn.to/47xzCEo
What is better, DCV501 or DCV517? Haven't seen anybody doing side by side.
That's a good question, I'll have to do that test
Yes and the one wet/dry that you showed would be nice all three together
Dewalt is the best.
Is that electric tape to connect the hose with the circular saw ? I'm very annoyed by this, the hose and tool connections from the same brand don't match. I bought the DWV9000 adaptor and still doesn't fit the hose
Yes, electrical tape. Not sure if Dewalt has come out with something yet, but I'm sure they will.
@@LandbergTileTV Thanks for the reply ! I just found out that one of the accessories that come with the vaccum can be used as an adaptor for the tools. It's the small round one with the hairs, remove the hairs and it fits quite well on the dewalt tools.
@@Guitube99 brilliant, this was the answer I was looking for!
@@Guitube99 Excellent.... merci
Excuse me, it work for clean car?? And for pet hair maybe? Thanks 🙏
Yes, I use it for my van and truck cleaning
@@LandbergTileTV do you mean using it to extract water/dirt (wet/damp) in cloth seating? (i.e. that has been washed with dewalt drill with brush bits to get deep stains?) Or do you think this would be better for washing seats/rugs: DEWALT 20V MAX Hand Vacuum, Cordless, For Wet or Dry Surfaces, 1/2-Gallon Tank, Washable Filter, Portable, Bare Tool Only (DCV517B) $99??
Wish it was a wet and dry vac
So do I
Could I use it for a normal house hold vacuum dog hair car etc or am I trippin?
Yes, but the batteries are expensive
Milwaukee mi dewalt mı
CAN IT BE USED AS A BLOWER???
Negative, wish it was
I bought one and it doest suck well. Said because all my tools are Dewalt
It's a little guy, we use it daily on our bathroom remodels through
Dewalt dustbuster
lol we use it every day on our bathroom remodeling projects
Will this hookup to Dewalt 20V MAX XR Cordless Brushless 5 in. Random Orbital Sander?
I'm sure it will. Maybe with adapter or electric tape
Mul-Thai tool
£222 I don’t think so.
this vc is toy
very weak suction
Been watching this for 3mins straight and it looks like it really sucks.
We use it on every single bathroom remodel. It's not a shop vac, but it's used more than our shop vac.
Excuse me but my big Ridgid blower vac works perfectly fine in my hundred and fifty square foot bathroom dry floors, maybe you need to work in bigger houses🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣..... I had to,🤣.... just playing man don't get all butthurt, have a great day!.. back to setting tile for me..... thanks for the good video at lunch👍
Its cool but its an ugly design considering it was actually designed by an engineering team
Exactly, engineers make things fit in to whatever the product designer made a drawing off.
It’s a joke for a job site
This vacuum sucks!
Why do you say so?
@@LandbergTileTV It sucks up everything!
