      @@Ectoplasm99999 scales are important because it's the basis of making a melody and chords. Once you learn the pattern of a major or minor scales, it becomes easier to play anything you want. You have total freedom when it comes to music and will gain better understanding. You can play any key that you want. I always thought when I was a beginner, that there's only one method to play that one song that I love or it's just the same key over and over. I was blown away when I can play that one song to Fmaj key or Amaj.

      Learn the names of all notes (black and white keys).
      whatever note you started the formula on will be that major or minor chord.
      If you start a major formula on G, it’s G major.

      @@alexonpiano8468 I don’t think this applies to inverted chords

    • @MorhaMaek
      @MorhaMaek 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@butwhatif2489 an inverted Chord is a chord that has the same 3 notes but arranged differently, at least on a piano anyways. Take C major chord for example, it has (C-E-G). The first inverter chord of that what be (E-G-C), the second inverted chord of that would be (G-C-E). You can basically play any of those notes together, it will still sounds the same. This helps with switching chord easier on a piano. I’m not sure about a guitar. But if @Alex On Piano is talking about the scale, also the root note of a non inverted chord is also correct. This is my understanding of it. I’m not a musician or anything.
      Look up Nathaniel school of music, he teach about all that and it make learning piano easier. Good luck

    • @alexonpiano8468
      @alexonpiano8468 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MorhaMaek Sure it only works for root position chords. I guess from there you could start rearranging the notes in whichever order you please. The method at least works to find the notes of the chord.

    You create a visual language of musical distances, called intervals, that are in clash with the way of music theory, which by the way is based upon the keyboard.
    So a Major 3rd is simply the name of the c e interval. A little bit of pations to instill wouldn't be a bad thing!!

    • @seriouslywhy4934

      I have seen people talk about perfect ears. Playing something by ear is useless because you probably wont be remembering it after 2 days and you cannot hear the perfect note at least once or twice because people like using 3-4 notes at the same time and you cant hear all 4 notes and find them. And lastly perfect ear doesnt exist they are just spending years just to get a better ear.
