I think as long as the KWAVE is dominating the PH, Filipino artists or idols will have a hard time but SB19 is an exception. They pave the way for PPOP to be recognized.
might even say Sandara was one of the major contributors of KPop's influence in the Ph. KDrama was big and you might hear some KPop songs here and there back then but when 2ne1 debuted...their song Fire was just everywhere especially in places like "ukay-ukay" where they blast songs all day.

It's funny because foreigners think Filipinos are very open to other cultures and people, which is true in some ways, but mostly kaya naging "famous" ang ibang lahi here in our country because we Filipinos tend to focus our attention on foreigners (or even mixed-raced Filipinos) while degrading our own culture and people in order to elevate others. I have nothing against the artists who became renowned in this country; I'm simply stating the sad reality. But, hey, at the very least, Filipinos are beginning to recognize ourselves.
I agree with your statement. Nakakalungkot talaga.
yeah. one example is sb19, some filipinos keep dragging them down while they embrace korean idols wholeheartedly. but, I'm glad sb19 is getting what they deserve now. they have so many fans.
@@lancepatrick77 In a way, guilty din ako diyan.
If Filipino we tend to expect much more while if foreigner or mix Filipino we tend to somehow be more accommodating. Dara is famous not bec she can hit high noted but bec she seems hardworking, cute, kind and yes foreigner who learned our language which make it easier to love her more. Philippines culture is so warm and open to other cultures. I hope other Asian neighboring countries would be open to Filipinos
The impact of Sandara Park before the Halyu wave to be honest
whoever decided to use Sandara's photo with her infamous abs..here's a cake🎂..thank you
Sandara is the 1st korean celebrity who catches most of the filipinos heart when she started in the reality show star circle quest.❤ sandara ang "pambansang krong krong of the Philippines "
About Dasuri Choi she also one of the winner of A TV SHOW PAGEANT IN GMA "EAT BULAGA" called FOREIGNAY
One of the guys is correct that Dasuri is also a comedian. She appeared in some sitcoms like Bubble Gang.
what I like about Dara Park, Ryan Bang, Dasuri Choi, and the rest of the Koreans in the Phils., Their heart is attached to the Philippines.
Hey! Gulgul here in the intro of the vid. I lived in the PH half of my lifetime (pusong pinoy, totoo lang🤣) and I totally agree with you!
If Filipino we tend to expect much more while if foreigner or mix Filipino we tend to somehow be more accommodating. Dara is famous not bec she can hit high noted but bec she seems hardworking, cute, kind and yes foreigner who learned our language which make it easier to love her more. And we are essentially very hospitable.
Dasuri Choiis our dance diva on a longest noontime running in the world EATBULAGA, then she became a host of DAY OFF with our LIMITLESS DIVA Julie Anne San Jose, and now she's one of a cast of longest running comedy show BUBBLE GANG. and dasuri is one of shindong's friend (supper junior,)
Dasuri is one of our beloved your foreign nay, pure Korean but Filipino at heart. You can watch all of her performance on EATBULAGA.
I do suggest for you to show some clips and highlights of these personalities and let them comment about their first impression about them.that would be more interesting than just letting them look at their profile.
Charm is just so pretty. I can't even. 🥺❤️❤️
Sam Oh! A great host and radio dj.. 🙌 miss seeing her on TV!
It would also be nice to see the korean's reaction on your channel with Jessica Lee's Trabaho episodes especially the streetfood selling ep. of hers. I think that would be an interesting content to see.
