Thats a beautiful kit will order one soon, its cool you give precise and clear video instructions for those like my with zero ingenuity to find out for myself lol
awsome work guys! Thank you. I wand to upgrade my head light on my suzuki bandit 650 2009. Is the any good EU store where I can buy an headlight like yours??
Thanks! We don't have any stocking dealers in EU but we do ship worldwide. You could also reach out to customlite.de, they are one of our more active dealers.
Guys why not made the video 1 minute longer and put the comparison between the old and a new headlights ? it s like u bake a cake make a picture of it and trow it out ! i think more than 70% who watched the video waited to see the difference !!!
Point taken, but honestly this video assumes you already have the upgrade and serves as the installation instructions. Photos of how the lighting looks at night can be found on the product page linked in the description.
@@motodemic I'm with @Lb Boti here. My front page suggested this vid and I was like 'This looks cool, lets watch it. Oh, installation, nice. So how does it look in comparison? ... ?? ... ???' An external link? Nah... Still left a like, but seriously man - 1min of even no talk comparison in the dark isn't that much to ask. Keep up the good work!
What is the difference from adaptive model and normal led? I would like to install on a sv 650 2020, will I notice dmconcrete differences during night drive? Is fully compatible or I could have some problems in future?
The only difference between the Evo S and the Adaptive is the leaning functionality. Both share similar low and high beam optics. Fully compatible and built to out last the bike.
It looks cool and I like that it fits into the factory housing... But what benefits do you get by this upgrade? I ask because this kit is 450-700 bucks plus shipping, but a standard LED bulb kit is somewhere in the 50-100 buck range.
The biggest benefit here is the change in type of lighting with control being the name of the game. Going from an antiquated reflector to a projector based system is a big difference in how the light being produced is used. Instead of shining the light into a mirror and scattering it forward, the light is going through an array of projectors to put the light exactly where you need it (wide and far). The premium LED systems we offer have been designed specifically for motorcycle use. The low beam optics spread soft light wide to cover a majority of your field of view. The high beam optics throw light way down the road so you aren’t out riding your light at speed. When the light is placed in high beam these two optic packages are combined so you are getting the best light coverage from a single source. The Adaptive model takes this a step further by dynamically adding light to the inside of the corner during leaning. In a stock reflector, adding more light will technically be brighter than stock but at the sacrifice of the quality of the light. This is usually accompanied by hot spots and weird shadow effects.
I have the European version of the third gen sv 650 which comes from the factory with pass switch. If I install this headlight am I going to still have a functional pass switch? Thanks!
This drop-in upgrade will not as it is only for the round headlight bikes. On a Gladius, we have helped customers with our headlight brackets and new headlight to essentially convert to a round headlight model.
People crying about price need to get a job. It seems like a reasonable price for something made in the USA and such an important upgrade for safety. I think it looks great and I will be buying one👍
@@mechanicalman4531 it’s like a helmet... Got a $5 head, buy a $5 helmet. Yes, it’s pricey. But so are ambulance rides and or funerals. I’d rather put good money into quality equipment that works, rather than buying three or four that don’t. By that time all the time and money wasted would have added up to more that buying once, crying once.
This can be connected if you would like, but most people forgo connecting it because it is not a commonly used function. The red wire on the back of the light at 3:42 can be connected to the positive lead from your parking light, and you will retain the parking function 👍.
All Solid Optic LED units are sealed. These carry a 5-year warranty and have a 50,000-hour life expectancy. That is 5.7 years on continuously or roughly 300,000 miles of riding, so actually, the idea is that the light outlasts the bike.
I think this is really cool and the installation video is informative but does it really gotta cost $450? You can't turn a profit off say $200? Now my $60 ebay lamp probably isn't as good as this but $400 can get me an actual performance upgrade. And 80% of SV owners are broke college kids.
The lighting unit alone is $420 of that price we’re only charging a small amount for the adapter ring and machined tabs to allow the stock ring to be used. $200 is far below our cost.. The Chinese lights on eBay are all copies or units using copied optics from the JW Speaker lighting units we use. There are some decent cheap units but none of them come close to the beam pattern and output of our motorcycle specific optics package.
@@dr.bherrin retract what? Nothing has changed. We are only using premium, US made, lighting systems and not selling products we cannot stand behind. If you don't like the price, don't buy it and roll the dice with a cheap product.

Cool headlamp but wayyy to expensive. I get that its good quality, but paying over 10% of the motorcycle's msrp for a head lamp is just not cost effective. Maybe for a ducati but not for a $7k suzuki
The Adaptive model isn't the only option, the non-adaptive Evo S is less. For people that are concerned about their safety and visibility, it's no different than buying an $800 Arai helmet. We're providing OEM levels of quality because our light units are made here in the US by the same manufacturer as many OEM's have their LED lighting made (Triumph, Harley, BMW, McLaren, Can-Am, Polaris, Jeep, and more). Why can't economical bikes have quality parts too?
