I gotta say I love your reactions to Aurora`s music...I only discovered her music a few weeks ago and Im completely absorbed in her, Ive been a serious Prince fan for nearly 40 yrs and in my opinion....Aurora is up there with the best of the best and at such a young age, I can live with the knowledge that what ever happens in the rest of my life....I have the cure for anything i face alone.
It is an amazing journey, here is a quick overview: She has 3 initials singles at the very beginning of her career, then in total 2 EPs and 3 Albums, and then ~25 cover songs here on youtube (~20 of them live), and 20+ unreleased songs which are also available on youtube. There are 3 new singles released recently which will be on the Deluxe version of "The Gods We Can Touch" (2 of them was on the vinyl version of the album), 2 of them have live Vevo versions on her main channel. And most importantly is all her live performances of which there are SO many amazing ones.
I grew up during the 80's, and A Temporary High is a goddamn masterpiece. It doesn't sound like an imitation of the 80's. It feels totally genuine (as all things Aurora do). That song would have blown the top off the charts in 1987.
I love the video for 'Giving in to the love!' Aurora said the song was inspired by the myth of Prometheus, who fashioned humans out of clay. He then stole the divine fire from the Gods to animate us with life. In the video, Aurora represents the fire, (just look at how she is dressed and the overlay of her dancing as the statues come to life.) She said that it is very sad that people spend too much of their life worrying about that 'clay,' (their physical appearance,) when it's the 'fire' within us that's actually important. "I guess it's, clay? No, no. Fire? Yes, yes!" - Aurora 2021.
i just checked her spotify video and i realised that every song (except cure for me) IS ABOUT A GREEK MYTH!?!?! i just realised, then I checked the lyrics again and now i'm shocked in a good way!
As Larissa says, Cure for me is dedicated to Hermafroditos, the offspring of Hermes and Aphrodite. Half man and half woman 👍 So every song is about greek mythology 😉
Related to the new album. Aurora said on the Norwegian talk show Lindmo that the album was about trying to understand why we went from God(s) being a part of us and everything around us to God being something distant (in heaven) - and how that has affected our development as humans…
I wonder if she's heard "To be loved" by Askjell FT. Aurora yet since i'm sure she'll love it. Especially if you think of "To be loved" and "Exist for Love" forming a complete 'story' together
I really enjoyed this (and the work you clearly put into it). Regarding "Exist for Love" (dropped almost 2 years ago) being on this new album - remember that it is almost a year ago since Aurora said that her next album (the one after "Gods we can touch") is being in final production - probably being released in the next two years. My instinct is that she does this to stay "off-beat" in terms of "trends". (And Exist for love is of course also a throw-back to the happy days stuck between two world wars - musically speaking). As I am writing while watching you - I am giggling with you pondering about the piano on "the innocent - looking forward to see you respond to an accordion later) I appreciated this. Thanks.
exhale inhale, together with Lucky, blood in the wine, awakening, giving in to the love, mothership , little boy in the grass , infections of a different kind, a potion of love ( Exist for love sister song)and through the eyes, are the most underrated songs I have ever heard and then I forget a few more. I have a top 100 of all time, it contains no fewer than 28 Aurora songs.
You should definitely check her out live. Its something magically different. Just a few suggestions - 1. Runaway and Murder (5,4,3,2,1) from nobel peace price 2015 2. It happened quiet from live at current 3. Through the eyes of child from nidarosdomen 4. God is a woman (Ariana Grande) cover by Aurora
You're a great reactor and I admire your honesty when you listen to an artists’ songs for the first time. You also have a pure soul that processes what you hear and feels in a way that's pure and true. Keep being honest in your reactions. Truth is a commodity exceptionally rare in this time.

I've been watching your reactions for some time, now and I have to say you are probably one of the most genuine people who do this. So grateful for your reaction...very engaging...I see humility in the way you listen and brings into your heart every song in this new album of Aurora.Thank you...
I feel like aurora spun such a sad tale in this album. The tracklist started with 'everything matters', she notices her lover and gives in, then shes happy with not needing a cure, shes strong and defiant. then it starts to crack in 'you keep me crawling', but is followed by exist for love. im not really sure how to explain the three after that, but with 'a temporary high', its like someone is looking from outside in and realising what is going on. then she realises shes loving 'a dangerous thing', then it feels like shes almost taken in by the gods in the two songs after that. then she realises it could be a dream and shes been floating through life ever since she found out what was going on. then she goes to a little place called the moon, and leaves the world she was abused in. i probably didnt explain it well and she does a better job if this is in fact what it kind of means. of course this is only what i think it means
This reaction video is so enjoyable. I saw her post something stating that some of the songs are inspired by Greek Gods and Goddesses. She talked about a few songs and I don't know if it can be said for each of them. Happy further research :)
Great reaction. And yes this album growing in me. It was so good from the start but now I think it is the best from these 4. Although previous ones was also great (in a little different way). Previous ones was more emotional, intimate and personal (which I am missing a little). This one is more mature, very versatile with great fusion between her insane singing/voice and instrumental part. And of course every Aurora song has incredible lyrics (often very very poetic - f.e. Everything Matters lyrics is for me a poetry). In my opinion her lyrics are often multi layered. You can read it f.e. more literally but you can also read it as a metaphor. F.e. you mentioned about meaning of a Heathens. I had several interpretations, but first one (and too be honest I like this one the most) was somewhat similar to yours first idea about mother nature. And this interpretation fits well. And this is only example - such multilayered lyrics you can find for many other Aurora songs.
Thank you for giving a beautiful review to a beautiful album. The innocent and The Blood in the Wine are my two favourite. This could be a dream is a dream
You’re reactions are a reflection of my own 🥰Aurora holds such a precious place in my Heart. I love how on this album every song is a fiercely unique experience, a new feeling with many layers open for interpretation... I always find myself dancing wildly. I think Aurora did say “Exist for Love” was her first love song she’s released. It’s so sweet and soothing 🍯 Ugh. Her music is the entire spectrum of emotion ! It’s wiiiiiiillllllllllld Another thing I love is that she can communicate sensuality and sexuality but in undercurrents of colours and subtlety...it’s woven into her art. she so fiery and soft all at once 🌬🔥
Thank you so much for reacting! I really enjoy seeing someone enjoying such masterpieces as the ones that Aurora makes for us. She shared with us one of her babys and even tough is very different i really really love it
Also i have to add that the heartbraking song realesed and connected with exist for love is "Potion for love" wich might be added in a delux edition and you can find in TH-cam
What catches me the most is always the music, the harmonies and her voice. The lyrics are more like the cherry on the cake. I always paid more attention to music instead of text, that's why I don't understand what she wants to say with her songs. I do understand every single word, but if anyone would ask me what she sings about, I couldn't give an answer...that's why i'm always impressed when someone is able to get to the deeper meaning within her songs. edit:I've never thought that I'd meet someone who thinks exactly like I do about Aurora and her songs and voice and everything. Omg I'm so happy now! Thx so much for your reaction
Ok so, im 15 minutes into the video and this has me rolling on the floor, the editing, the commentary its just all too damn funny 😂😂. 14:56, that distortion lol
How can I put this into words, aurora is and always will be to me just that artist. I have searched the internet to find someone similar to her and have found none. Aurora, taylor swift, and lorde are my trifecta of singing masterpiece. No one makes music like them.💕
You should get to know Florence and the machine. Florence also has that kind of magical unique voice. Her 4 albums are so different and good, she's interesting persona, though
Regarding the line from "The Innocent" you wondered about: "Drinking lava from the lake" could be an allusion to the lake of fire in Christianity, where sinners are punished: "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." Drinking from the lake of fire would then be sinning in the eyes of religion (pre-marital sex, same-sex relationships and so on), and could refer specifially to sex, as Aurora seems to say that sex and nakedness in reality is, or should be, innocent, but that we have made it into "something not pure."

BTW, loved this reaction… love all your reactions lol
In the video, Aurora represents the fire, (just look at how she is dressed and the overlay of her dancing as the statues come to life.)
She said that it is very sad that people spend too much of their life worrying about that 'clay,' (their physical appearance,) when it's the 'fire' within us that's actually important.
Half man and half woman 👍
So every song is about greek mythology 😉
Thank you guys, im greek and I feel honored!! I loved the album
Caitlin, we need a reaction to Auroras latest. PLEASE!!! "What Happened To the Heart?" is so good!!!
Related to the new album. Aurora said on the Norwegian talk show Lindmo that the album was about trying to understand why we went from God(s) being a part of us and everything around us to God being something distant (in heaven) - and how that has affected our development as humans…
For me, the lyrical crux of this album is during Exhale, Inhale. "My dear, come near. Do you feel my hand? It is there."
Congrats on your great, great reaction. She deserves you!!
I wonder if she's heard "To be loved" by Askjell FT. Aurora yet since i'm sure she'll love it. Especially if you think of "To be loved" and "Exist for Love" forming a complete 'story' together
To be loved is such an incredible song
aurora is the music
facts
‘You cant keep making music this good’
Aurora: hold my wine 🍷
THE FLESS IN THE FRUIT AND THE BLOOD IN THE WINEEEE
I really enjoyed this (and the work you clearly put into it). Regarding "Exist for Love" (dropped almost 2 years ago) being on this new album - remember that it is almost a year ago since Aurora said that her next album (the one after "Gods we can touch") is being in final production - probably being released in the next two years.
My instinct is that she does this to stay "off-beat" in terms of "trends". (And Exist for love is of course also a throw-back to the happy days stuck between two world wars - musically speaking).
As I am writing while watching you - I am giggling with you pondering about the piano on "the innocent - looking forward to see you respond to an accordion later)
I appreciated this. Thanks.
Went to her concert at Terminal 5 in NY and it was the best experience!! I already bought tickets to see her again in June!
Same'!!
Watched it live on the Twitch Stream. Epic.
I saw her at that concert too! Are you going to the one in Central Park?! I got tickets for that one as well. I can't wait :)))
@@s_amylee yes I’ll be there!
@@kimroach7034 It’s going to be a one of a kind night! sunset in central park listening to Aurora?! magical
You have the best AURORA album reactions. Have you considered doing the new album?
exhale inhale, together with Lucky, blood in the wine, awakening, giving in to the love, mothership , little boy in the grass , infections of a different kind, a potion of love ( Exist for love sister song)and through the eyes, are the most underrated songs I have ever heard and then I forget a few more. I have a top 100 of all time, it contains no fewer than 28 Aurora songs.
You should definitely check her out live. Its something magically different.
Just a few suggestions -
1. Runaway and Murder (5,4,3,2,1) from nobel peace price 2015
2. It happened quiet from live at current
3. Through the eyes of child from nidarosdomen
4. God is a woman (Ariana Grande) cover by Aurora
I went too far and believer cover on piano
Thanks for this amazing reaction
of course :)
You're a great reactor and I admire your honesty when you listen to an artists’ songs for the first time. You also have a pure soul that processes what you hear and feels in a way that's pure and true. Keep being honest in your reactions. Truth is a commodity exceptionally rare in this time.
I cried to this album like three times lol
I remember she one said that “a driver’s license is something I don’t personally have” 😂
Omg darling, thank u for give us ur reaction for this album, is amazing 💟
of course! there was no chance i wasn’t reacting to this album, i’ve been so excited for it! :)
Aurora cant stop doing perfect albums. Literally a goddess
Exist for love is honestly the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard, still think this ever since I heard it when it came out.
This album is fire!! Aurora is one of a kind artists
I'm glad that you are making these videos. I feel less alone with your videos I think. I want to talk about music, albums and stuff but I don't have anyone to talk. Your videos makes me feel better. Thank you for this experience.
Don't stop.
I’m so glad you reacted to this
me too
I always cry when you cry, in a good way, loved the album and your reaction 🥰
my favourites in this album are the innocent, a temporary high, heathens, artemis and blood in the wine!! i love the whole album so much!!
All great songs❕Like A Dangerous Thing myself 🙂
Replace A Temporary High with Everything Matters and this is me
i've listened to this album probably about six times through already and i still have the same reaction as you every time i listen to it. it never ceases to make me shout with excitement, gasp, or cry. gosh i love aurora
she is literally so talented and unique
Giving into the love when the figures started moving I was like shut up how can you be so TALENTEDDDDD BROOOOO STOPPPPP and that kinda meant that when a person is going thru a hard time they probably only need a touch!
I'm in love with you being in love with aurora's music. Like, from the reactors that I've been watching for all this time, you're the only one reacting to her. omfg, she's so pure. so we are.
"... where are we going? The moon i guess" lol idk why that made me laugh so much
Your reactions are my happy place
I LITERALLY LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH ITS UNREAL THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SONG I DISLIKE THEY ARE ALL SO PERFECT
Such good use of media tools to tell the story of the album!!
Caitlin, thank you so much for reacting to this amazing album. I’m so grateful you did! Aurora is incredibly talented. You supporting her art means a lot. 💕
I know no one can even come close to the heart wrenching and soothing power of AURORAs voice but she does remind me at times of a non-binary artist called iniko, so if anyone is desperate for some angelic singing like the classic AURORA we have been blessed with checking this amazing person our will bring you some unique version of that.
Your exploration and responses to all the fascinating aspects of this masterpiece are so perfect. Phenomenal reaction. ✨🙏👏
Great reaction great format stay safe stay healthy stay you x
im literally in tears just watching this, I love Aurora so much 😭
I've been watching your reactions for some time, now and I have to say you are probably one of the most genuine people who do this. I love the fact that you're not afraid of being who you are in front of a camera and you keep getting emotional for the little things. Thank you for doing this, keep going
A dangerous thing is probably my fav both for lyrics and music
Are you gonna do a reaction to her new album What happened to the heart? You won’t be disappointed 😎🤌🏻
it's been a *while* since I listened to this album of Aurora, and watching your video I'm experiencing this album all over again as if for the first time
3:27 the funny thing she said at a concert is that she actually doesn’t have a driving license lmaoo
So grateful for your reaction...very engaging...I see humility in the way you listen and brings into your heart every song in this new album of Aurora.Thank you...
I get goosebumps when I listen to this full album every single time
Yeah lmao I cried lots during this album, its defiantly one of most beautiful things to come from such a hard period in our current human history
I love your reactions, made me laugh and smile!! ♡
I was waiting for your reaction!
this album is such a magical experience, I can't even process how good it is)
I feel like aurora spun such a sad tale in this album.
Love the production of your videos reactions, and your energy. Thank your!
I listened to like 10 sec of A Temporary High and I was scared I wasn't gonna like it, but I love it
Me too, she is not human!!!
It’s so sweet and soothing 🍯
Ugh. Her music is the entire spectrum of emotion ! It’s wiiiiiiillllllllllld
Another thing I love is that she can communicate sensuality and sexuality but in undercurrents of colours and subtlety...it’s woven into her art.
she so fiery and soft all at once 🌬🔥
I can't, this is the best Aurora's album.
I've seen many reactions to this Album, yours is by far the most enjoyable! Gotta Love Aurora!!
“Oh my god wait I love you”
How can I put this into words, aurora is and always will be to me just that artist.
I just discovered you, and I loved your reaction. So happy to find another hardcore Aurora fan. You're so beautiful btw🌹
Regarding the line from "The Innocent" you wondered about: "Drinking lava from the lake" could be an allusion to the lake of fire in Christianity, where sinners are punished: "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."
Drinking from the lake of fire would then be sinning in the eyes of religion (pre-marital sex, same-sex relationships and so on), and could refer specifially to sex, as Aurora seems to say that sex and nakedness in reality is, or should be, innocent, but that we have made it into "something not pure."
Love your reactions! My fave from the album is A Dangerous Thing
This could be a dream is otherworldly. I’m glad you agree. ❤️
As soon as I heard the album I thought of you! I was WAITING for this video
i’ve never listened to aurora's songs. new music is perfection omg
Since the album came out I was looking for your reaction, I wanted it soooo bad!!!
Thank God it's here, love you Caitlin!!🥺❣️
