About Disney.... she did. In Frozen 2 she was the voice of the spirit in INTO THE UNKNOWN. Later she recorded the whole song in her style. And of course it's beautiful.
I definitely need to hear that
@@ashlenamusic yesssss
Still Disney but with a different tone, Dumbo by Tim Burton, 2019. Listen to Aurora in her version of Baby Mine. Too bad it was not used in the film because "not suitable / strange for the sensitivity of children" (???)
LMAO that is hilarious considering Disney films all have hidden messages.
@@walterF205it's probably on the album, but they wanted that song specifically for the trailer, still a good song tho. She's done several songs for movies and shows now, Scarborough Fair, Secret Garden, Life on Mars, Midas Touch, Hunting Shadows. There's even a version of Murder Song for the movie Detour, appropriately labeled the 2016 Detour Movie Mix
On "Everything Matters" the backing vocals and French portion are performed by French singer, Pomme.
In the audio version Pomme sings the last part in french, not the backing vocals ☺️
I highly recommend "Potion For Love (Live) | Vevo Studio Performance" as Aurora made it as a contrast to "Exist for Love" (celebration of love) "Potion for Love" is for lost love.
Oh yes, I second that, Ashlena !
You will love her acoustic performance of "A Temporary High"!
Also the Vevo Studio Performance of "Exhale, Inhale"
Can’t wait!
Nobody is ever prepared for a 16 bar, face-melting accordion solo!
The gods we can touch is reference to the idea that the gods of the ancient world were much more involved in human life, lived among us and were much more 'human' in their appetites and flaws. But then, as new religions were formed, god was removed and placed further away from us, out of our reach up in heaven.
Each song on this album was written with a 'patron' god in mind, of the ancient Greek pantheon. The most obvious being the song directly named for Artemis, the virgin goddess of the hunt, animals, women and childbirth. Some others, Exist for love - Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The blood in the wine - Dionysus, The god of wine and revelry.
Love your comment, but I have to correct that the instrument is a bandoneon. Still face-melting tho! Was actually kinda shocked the first time I heard that, since where I live it's very traditional, so I investigated and it turns out Glorvigen, the Norwegian man that played that part, spent several years studying tango both in Paris and in my city, Buenos Aires, so that's a personal +20 from me to both him and Aurora lol.
That is so interesting!!! Thanks for sharing that!
@mendiganina6001 ooooo interesting! Definitely looking up that instrument
The album has a lot inspiration from greek mythology. And as far as the Everything Matters song, a french artist named Pomme featured in the song. She's the one who was singing the french bit at the end along with Aurora in the background. 😊
About Artemis. She is a Greek goddess of hunting and agriculture... and that's the concept of the whole album. All songs are supposed to referring to a God... some are obvious, some are a bit constructed... thats where the title comes from also. God's we can touch. Before the Greek gods went to the Olymp, they lived among people. The concept of a ruling God, apart from the creation is a very monotheistic idea. Like the Jewish, Islam and Christian religion...
Thanks doll for this! I know nothing of Greek gods lol
Apart from her excellent voice, Aurora is an excellent composer, some songs without her voice seem like masterpieces of classical music, an Aurora was already needed in this world.
Agreed!
This is my favourite album of the decade so far. Brilliant from start to finish. 🙂
Also, it was such a joy to watch your reaction to each song. 😃
Aww thank you xx
I love EXHALE INHALE ❤❤❤
Gorgeous song. The VEVO studio performance is perfection!
45:40 the thing with aurora is that each album is or is part of a chapter, stages you have to pass to be a different kind of human and get to where you belong (queendom)
with "all my demons greeting me as a friend" you face your demons and learn from them
with infections of a different kind is when you start changing from the inside in a micro level you get "infected "
with a different kind of human is focus on the macro level changes, you become a different kind of human who wants to make the world we live in a better place and finished with mothership when you actually being taken to "home" to where you would be love and accepted for who you are
the gods we can touch is the spirituality of the journey as I interpreted
once she got all her warriors and weirdos at home she start questioning the way spirituality had put us down and how the divinity is all around us in nature in the love between each other, that no matter our differences we don't need a cure of what make us us
the outro must likely will connect the gods we can touch to the next chapter
Ahhh that is so cool thanks for sharing
@ashlenamusic thanks, she is cool, she actually said that she is making an album that will be release when she passes away and she'll take one song that is meaningful for each decade of her life and save it for that album to be released, she already have 2 songs of that album kinda sad that I'm a bit older than her and might not be able to listen to that album
@@dulcealvarez6071damn Aurora is gonna live longer than all of us lmao this album will never come out 😢
@@dulcealvarez6071and the saddest part for me is that I won’t be alive to hear it 😢
No way!
There are 2 more songs from this album and 1 song related to it:
"Potion For Love" is a "sister" song to Exist For Love but about lost love instead. It was released on the B-side of the vinyl single for "Cure For Me", but was later released as a single, there is a beautiful Vevo live version.
"The Woman I Am" and "The Devil Is Human" was only on the vinyl version of the album, but was later released as singles. The latter one has no live version yet, but "The Woman I Am" has a great Vevo live version, and also another live version on her main channel from a TV show "Gullruten", the Vevo version is best imo.
Everything Matters has 2 live versions with both Aurora and Pomme the best one is called "Live on Rhythm by Modzik". Heathens and Exhale Inhale and A Temporary High also has Vevo versions and the latter one is a beautiful acoustic version I think you will love, since you are not into the 80s sound.
Exist For Love and Cure For Me and Giving In To The Love has music videos.
That album is amazing
Inhale Exhale and This Could Be A Dream are my favorites on the album, sounds great on Vinyl.
Total agree on those songs. My favourites on this abum. Sorry about the grammar.❤
both go well and close together with wisdom cries. at least for me.
I can't wait for you to see the official video for "Exist for Love". The video somehow makes the song even more stunning. It's just perfection. Also, the Vevo performance of "Heathens". She does a gorgeous tribal vocal run that is pushed pretty far back in the studio mix.
Can’t wait!
Yup, the Exist for Love MV made even Doja Cat cry.❤️😊 (there’s a video of that on yt)

Great Reaction! The more I listen to this album, the more I like it. The more you listen to this album, the more you shake your head in amazement. Just wait till you get to the live shows and clips,... you ain't seen nothing yet. All of the NRK and Vevo in studio production is jaw-dropping. The many covers that she does are re-imagined versions that only she could do.
You keep me crawling is like picked right out of a Bond theme ;)
I say, Aurora def should do a Bond theme
She would be amazing for it
Coldfinger.
Thank you. Aurora has done acoustic versions of most of the songs for you to discover. Also there are a couple of alternative tracks that were on the vinyl but these have since been released to stream digitally. She has said that the outro “A little place called the moon” is a bridge we all must cross to find her next album - can’t wait.
Oooooo I love that! Looking forward to her next album
OMG! The gods we can touch It is a beautiful album, without a doubt my favourite, I am very grateful to have found Aurora and find people who are so passionate about her music and what she transmits, that is why I love seeing your reactions, since they cause a great impact❤️
Much appreciated. Xx
Ugh! I wished she had released the full version of "Baby Mine" from the movie Dumbo. ❤❤❤
About the French part. It is not Aurora. It is Pomme, a French singer.
Pomme is the main voice singing the French part but I think aurora does sing the French backing vocals for Pomme or maybe that was just the live performances
@@bret_hikes7397 I don't know. Could be
And the lyrics for the French verse were written by Pomme herself.
@@bret_hikes7397
Aurora sings the backing vocals on the french part👍
Her penguin dance in the official video of cure for me is really cute, must watch it.
Do you know the Inspiration for that dance? It is called FUTTERWACKEN. it is the danceable of the mad hatter of Alice in wonderland
By Tim Burton. He does this dance at the end of the fight against the Jabberwocky...
She is the siren in Frozen 2, both in the song and throughout the movie...
Check out her music videos too. It's a must see, really shows you who she is and they're beautiful art pieces. And Aurora has most of the ideas. She is a complete artist and dancer.. Not to be missed!
I really need to watch this movie
@@ashlenamusic
The music in the movie is pretty good. Plot has some problems but I think the music makes up for it
@@ashlenamusic
Kinda fitting that they brought in Aurora to be the voice of "the northern wind" in a film which gets inspiration from viking era Norway.
exhale - inhale. the live performance is very impressive. and of cause: everything matters has a live performance as well. with pomme. excellent. also the music video for exist for love. but exhale - inhale. hope you keep the tuesdays up & running.
Now is time that you see a live presentation from her world tour. I recommend the presentation at the Lollapalooza Argentina, I was there and it was incredible, I still do not overcome ❤ She is so cute, funny and a wonderful human being...
You were there?!? Amazing! I would love to do a lollapalooza
@@ashlenamusic Yes! I was in the second row, waiting for 5 hours down from 40° heat to see her presentation, it was worth every second, it was a religious experience that I look forward to living again soon! In addition I meeting some cool Warriors and weirdos 🥰
@brendapace3541 omgggg I love the dedication!!! So happy for you!!
Breathtaking is the perfect word for this album. So glad I got to listen along with you!
Thanks for listening 🥰
I never really loved pop music. I didn't hate pop but also didn't particularly like it. Until i discovered Aurora. And especially this album - even though it's her most poppy album i love every second of it. Thanks for your reaction!
Yeah I definitely don’t consider her “pop” she’s her own genre for sure lol thanks for watching xx
@@ashlenamusic something between new psychedelic folk and new psychedelic pop. but for sure psychedelic.
Love how dark and warm her voice and sound is in this album compared to her older work, which is sometimes dark too but mostly light and cool. Its maturity in her craft for sure but just stylistically specific too! Amazing album
Couldn't agree more!
You would love the official videos for 'Exist for Love;' and 'Cure for Me'. Thanks for your reaction! She wrote 'Exist for Love' for her fans..
I can’t wait to watch them all
"Exist for Love" and "Artemis" were both one take for the main vocals and its insane
WHAT! That’s crazy!
On "Exist for Love" the main vocals are not only one take, but from the original demo along with the acoustic guitar.
This was a great experience to hear this record again with you. I can hardly wait for you to see these tracks live or the MV's . Exhale Inhale live Vevo is exceptionally good. Looking forward to more reactions!
Hello! Late to this and it was so fun to be with you on this. I love this album but for me are the popy tracks little to many. I know that there are many out there who love this songs but i have opinion to... My favourite is Exhale, Inhale. So deep lyrics and the music is for me soul music. Perhaps is "This could be a dream" Auroras most underrated song and I think your interpretation is clever and beautiful. I love the warmth and emotions in this song. I agree for most of the time on your reaction. Thanks for this and i see ya soon.
Such a good song. It’s beautiful.
I love your reactions, your joy and your honesty is awesome. I pretty much agree with you on all the songs but Temporary High, I suggest the live Vevo performance, it doesn't make you want to dance which you desired, but it is a slower version and really very beautiful. So glad you loved the album, isn't she the most unique artist ever? Her song writing is exceptional, the words, the music, so fantastic. Super excited for you to start your journey on her live performances, looking forward to it, maybe a whole fan favorite concert, Haik? 2018 KEXP? Nidarosdomens? Can't wait 🥰🥰
I hope you meant the most unique artist😜 Agree with everything🥰🥰
Definitely doing Nidarosdomens for next week xx

Well, all has already been written in all these numerous comments, but anyway.
I don't know why, but when I hear "Cure for me" (album version), it makes me think of Mylène Farmer. I don't really know why, they are quite different, but there's something in the sound of this song (brain and its weird associations of ideas)...
I look forward to your future reactions to (hopefully) some acoustic and stripped down versions of some of this these songs (most are really awesome and mind blowing, as are the ones of "Temporary High", that are hauntingly beautiful).
Anyway, back to english: thank you for this really nice reaction to beloved Aurora, and her continuous artistic growth.🙂👍
Following you on this album, in the full version, has been a magnificent journey.
I've been delighted.
I’m so glad xx makes my heart happy
Wait till next Tuesday it’s gonna get deep
she has a ton of unreleased songs, that are amazing, and several collaboration songs. also many songs have multiple versions when she does them live.
Best album yet
Girl, you know I loved this😍🥰
I appreciate you xx
I really love this album🔥🥰
me too
i love this album so muchh
That was awesome watching you enjoy this album, and listening to it with you. I'm so glad you loved it as much as you did, though I also appreciate your honesty about the tracks you weren't crazy about. I'm with you on the '80s vibe of "Temporary High." The live acoustic versions are much better. I do love the odd piano in "The Innocent," though. Favorite songs for me are probably "Everything Matters," "Exist for Love," "Exhale Inhale" and "Artemis."
Recommendations:
"Everything Matters" - Live at Modzik, featuring Pomme (absolute perfection)
"Cure for Me" - music video (you're going to LOVE it)
"Exist for Love" - music video (absolutely gorgeous)
"Exhale Inhale" - Live at Vevo (insane performance and production)
"Artemis" - Live at Stavanger Concert Hall, with orchestra (I believe this is the only live performance of this song, and it is fantastic!)
Thanks for the reccos! 🥰
Thanks for the recommendation for Artemis Tarkus 😍 The 1st violinist killed the solo in Artemis. U can see Fredrik giving her approved nodding in awe 🤩😍
There was crying involved during that concert and sitting a mere 2m away from her was a little unreal.
Another wonderful reaction! There’s some really nice live versions of these songs including VEVO acoustic Temporary High and Exhale Inhale. She also does several keyboard versions of Exist For Love but my favorite version might be the acoustic one with her band at P3. Also you comments about the ice cream truck got me laughing out loud!
I'll check it out! And that’s man truck I can’t even deal!
"God damn! This song is called Heathens..." 😂

Thanks!! I didn’t want anything to long. I think this will be fine for a while lol
Giving Into the Love might be my favorite from this album. It will most likely be on my top tracks played for the year on Spotify 😂. I play the hell out of it.

Great reaction! Aurora is my 2nd favorite artist, after Angelina. And they're both Norwegian. But I swear, I'm NOT biased. We're truly blessed to have both of them over here. (Though Angelina has moved to LA...) I saw both of them live in concert last year, and it was extremely beautiful. Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
I love that!!

I enjoyed watching your reactions to this fabulous album. Yes the vevo's version are amazing but I particularly prefer a 20 minutes mini productions call A Touch Of The Divine. I promise , you won't be disappointed . Looking forward to next tuesday.
this one didn't get a lot of attention. she really performs as a dancer. but we have a lot of tuesdays to go.
that's the spirit!
Aurora is too good, and it's also good to organize you have my blessing Dear Lady.
And this Album was Aurora's last album so far and a true masterpiece....she's so fuking good......Ok I'll go on with your reaction cause I feel you but above all I love Aurora.....how can someone be so good well Aurora can and Aurora is and check Pomme you're gonna luv er
Hi Ashlena ! Thanks so much foe reacting to this masterpiece of an album ! To be honest, when I first heard this album, I didn't like many of the songs, so I heard it more often to kind of "get used" to it. But now, together with you, I finally love this album as much as I love Aurora's other studio albums.., although she is stll much better live ! So after hearing all studio albums, what are you going to do next ? Live performances, I guess... and the best way to start this jpurney, is to begin with Aurora's best and most beautiful concert EVER : Live at Nidarosdomen ! You could practically react to this whole concert, simply because it's magical from beginning to end. But if you want to choose one special song from this concert, please start with "Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen)" ! And don't forget, she wrote this song at the age of 9 years ! And the lyrics are so deep and meaningful... this song is considered her "anti-suicide-song"... and it's - besides all the other 11 songs - hauntingly beautiful in its arrangement and its interpretation (acoustically AND visually !)
But it would be better, of course, when you react to the whole concert. 58 minutes of magic, beauty and perfection in every way possible... acousticaly AND visually. Believe me, Ashlena, you will not regret having put all the effort into this long reaction video. You will be speechless and mesmerized... just like me and everybody else, who has reacted to this concer already.
Best wishes from Germany : Gerry
shh I just filmed my reaction to the concert. It'll be live next Tuesday BUT i did it in two parts. For the full un-interrupted version it'll be on my patreon.
AHHHH IM SO EXCITED
I love listening to this album straight without any breaks. I feel like the songs bleed into each other so beautifully
I re-listened afterwards and it’s just phenomenal
Probably, and though its hard to decide, my favorite album of hers. Not only for the songs but the inspirations, she's like going on a rollercoaster of music genres inside the same genre, goes from experimenting with 80's tunes (and even video) for A Temporary High, to swimming with 30's vibes for Exist For Love, A Little Place Called the Moon, and not to forget A Potion For Love, a song that comes from another version of this album. And then, when I thought I heard everything, she drops me freaking tango in Artemis! Can't just help but love her.
Was waiting for this reaction! I'm gonna risk and say your favorite Disney movie is The Beauty and The Beast? Mine is Mulan, maybe sharing the spot with Pocahontas too!
Haha yes it’s beauty and the beast!
@@ashlenamusic Yes! Achievement of the day completed.
Haha ♥️♥️♥️
I love that you appreciated Artemis just as much as I do
Glad to hear you love it as much as I do haha
My top favorite song from this album is probably Everything Matters (of course more favorites here). For me some song changed "positions" in my personal ranking with time, but this one is always on top :). It is very poetic and it sounds great. And as with every Aurora album whole album is just amazing. I think this album is really versatile with very different sounds and styles. This whole album is inspired by Greek mythology and every song has connected gods with it. And Artemis is one of goddess.
Thx for reaction!
Ps. Funny thing I like the piano in The Innocent song it gives me crazy pianist vibe :).
Ps2. French part is Pomme (first other singer on her album although she has cooprations on others albums), but she also singed it in French live. She has also last part of the cover Partisan in French.
Thanks for watching! And yes everything matters might also be my favourite from this album xx

The inspiration for the full album are the Gods, more from the ancient greek and rome, you can find some entreview she gave and explaine wich god goes for each song. She co-produce the full album and touch evry single aspect of it. She love being in studio and take hours for each detail. Great reaction. Now let's watch those live concert 🙂

This is a Great Album. You will really enjoy checking out the live versions and music videos (which I hope you will do) I would suggest "Heathens" live VEVO, "Exhale, inhale" live VEVO, and even though you didn't care for the 80's vibe, I would do "Temporary high" live VEVO as well, because it's more acoustic without the Synth vibes. I think you'll like that version much better.

Every thing about this album is a banger. It's excellent. 10/10.
Agreed!
A very nice and thorough album reaction! Exist For Love sounds to me very Mediterranean, it could have been a hit in 1960's Italy or France. But as we know, AURORA travels effortlessly through time so she's probably been there, too. Thank you very much! LCSed (Liked Commented and Subscribed (a while ago already)).
I totally agree!!
And thanks for the sub ♥️♥️
On "exhale inhale", listen to the duration of the exhale and then the inhale. You will realise that exhale is shorter than inhale. This is because when we exhale, we give out carbon. Hence giving less carbon to mother earth but take in more corbon for mother earth.
There is an acoustic version of A Temporary High that you might like more! Also the vinyl has some different tracks not on the digital album but that have since been released and I highly recommend listening to them too! one I think you'll love is A Potion For Love which she has a really good vevo performance of and the song is the flipside to Exist for love being how she felt when a love that filled her whole being left. Also Aurora doesn't speak french, Pomme, a French artist was featured on EveryThing Matters. Pomme is an amazing artist who is influenced by Aurora, Lana Del Rey and Chanson music and has a stunning voice so I recommend listening to her latest album "Consolation" even just in your own time if ur too busy to react.
I would be very interested in listening to pomme. I wonder why she chose the name apple…
Also I will definitely react to those I didn’t know they existed!
@@ashlenamusic the songs only on the vinyl album are The Devil Is Human, A Potion For Love and The Woman I Am. Loved your reaction! If you’re looking for a live performance of “Exist For Love” I recommend this version here! Her harmonies with her band are just perfection 💖 th-cam.com/video/xZR6C-6owYo/w-d-xo.html
I might save this link for a reaction video!
Blood in the wine reminds you of a movie. An old western called The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
This is a musical reference to this film.
Ahhhh cool!
Is your favorite Disney movie Beauty and the Beast? I'm taking a guess from the lyrics in Blood in the Wine
Yup :)
Artemis is heavily influenced by Argentine tango, and as an Argentine, it's really amazing to see a goddess like Aurora take inspiration from the traditional music of my country.😊🇦🇷
Ashlena: “what is this album?!”
👁️👄👁️
That was fun 😊. Great start of the day! My favorite album of hers, but I tend to skip "The Innocent" and "A Temporary High". As others have mentioned, she later released a lovely stripped live version of "A Temporary High" totally changing the mood of the song. Love that one. "Exist For Love" was initially a bit too sugary sweet for my taste, but after watching her sing it alone on the piano a bunch, it won me over. Made me appreciate this version as well. My most played three seems to be "A Dangerous Thing", "Everything Matters" and "Exhale Inhale".
Those are a perfect too 3! And I really can’t wait to watch live versions of these songs
Heathens and The Innocent are my favorite tracks off this album, but I will confess that the Vevo Live version of Heathens sounds so much better than the studio one, she doesn't do the egyptian calls in the studio one. 😶
Oooo interesting! I love vevo live performances so I’ll definitely check that out
@@ashlenamusic This is also missing The Devil Is Human, which was originally only on the vinyl.
@FrostedVanity oh my I need to do that too!
@@ashlenamusic If you're accepting suggestions outside the Aurora rabbit hole, I'd love to recommend th-cam.com/video/_VRrk__m0iA/w-d-xo.html
