Country was more or less in gutter since 2020.
Then news of ''Bangladesh surpassing India in per-capita income'' hit us all with subsequent news of ''Next Asia Tiger'' all while unemployment became untenable and inflation hit the roof.
The above points weren't the main issue though. Biggest factor that led to ouster of Hasina was killings of students (particularly Abu Sayed, Mir Mugdho and Golam Nafiz) and almost 2 weeks of entrenched internet shutdown and curfews. Situation became unbearable!

I am from india and was part of indian Airforce(IAF) during 1971 liberation war. I have very serious concerns on following points from indian point of view:
    1. Interviewer and interviewee both give importance democracy in Bangladesh, but removal of Hasina was certainly not democratic. Rather it was street power which prevailed. Even CJI was forced to resign due to threats from students and has nothing to do with democracy.
    2. Md. Yunus is selected man, rather than democratically elected. He has little experience of governance. He does have blessings from USA. That may work or may not work.
    3. Students violence on street is definitely not a democratic movement. To me it appears street power of immature students rather than considered opinion of a matured and educated politician.
    4. I have seen lot of such movements in india during congress regime which led to nothing. They were high jacked by wasted interests like the one led by JP in 1976 when I was young air force officer. We had sympathy for the movement then. But now I realize that it's net outcome was anarchy and almost 30 years of wasted time. It produced new leaders like lalu Yadav mulayam singh, lohia etc who had no education worth any thing. Their only agenda was personal wealth which they successfully achieved only through corruption and GUNDA RAJ.
Let me tell you my opinion: most violent revolutions end up with one more revolution. And the cycle continues.
    4. In my opinion a nation must first create wealth through hard work and then think of distribution only after creation is achieved upto some level. This takes 1 or 2 generations of hard work.
    5. Hasina may be autocratic but did manage high GDP growth of about 6%
    6. Regarding reservations for freedom fighters, students did have some points and this could have been reduced slowly to about 10% or so. But how can few thousands Govt jobs can solve employment problems. Real solutions comes from Pvt sector jobs rather than Govt jobs. I strongly feel that most Govt jobs end up in corruption and bribery rather than development. More pvt factories and institutions only can solve employment problem.
    7. From india's point view real problem is Islamic fanatism which is quite evident in Bangladesh. Bangladesh seems to be following pakistan ie fanatic Islam. To me pakistan has reached the stage where it's future is in serious doubts. It also appears that recent changes in Bangladesh are driven by USA"s self interests. But track record of USA intervention had hardly been good. Have a look at afganistan, iraq, Libya and even Vietnam in 1960s.
    8. If Bangladesh goes towards Islamic fanatism ie jamate islami brand, it will end up like pakistan, or afaganistan. There is hardly any Islamic country which has progressed with Islamic world view where mullah rule the society. Middle East is rich because of free oil and not because of any development in true sense. They cannot even build their own dwellings and people from Bangladesh, pakistan or india have to go there to build their houses. And how long will this OIL wealth survive? For real development, have a serious look at how China, Japan and South Korea developed without any oil wealth led by hard work and intellectual development. After MODI india is also doing well without oil wealth.
Lastly it will do good to Bangladesh to learn from others mistakes rather repeat them. Democracy is just a tool to achieve national development rather than END RESULT by itself. If national development does not happen, will democracy fill your stomach.
    Just food for thought.

It's the Bangladesh army who sent Sheikh Hasina to Delhi...she landed in Delhi using the Bangladesh Air force plane. India didn't send any help to Hasina in Dhaka prime minister palace. No one dares to question the Army chief why and how Sheikh Hasina fled? Why did their army help her flee Bangladesh instead of arresting her? Not even that interim government dares to question their army. If they question there will be martial law next day in Bangladesh. So stop accusing India, first accuse your own army if you have courage to do so.

I greatly appreciate Indian authors who portray the real picture of Bangladesh with honesty. It’s essential to understand that true power lies in truth, not in hate. As the world’s largest democracy, India has a responsibility to uphold democratic values, not just pursue the short-term interests of politicians. We, in Bangladesh, are deeply committed to democracy. However, India sometimes seems to view us through the lens of influence rather than as a sovereign nation. Moving forward, it's essential to recognise that we are an independent country, and our decisions will be made independently, based on our own values and interests."

Although India is the closest neighbor of Bangladesh, they express themselves as a largest democratic county in the world but the fact is they produce fascist government, actually they are fascist by mentally, activities and so on...
India through fascist Hasina, killed Bangladesh's democracy, took away voting rights, disappeared, murdered, destroyed the rule of law, killed more than 1000 children and teenagers, destroyed communal harmony, and executed various unequal agreements. Which the people of Bangladesh rejected with disgust.
The Indian government is still supporting the murderous Hasina and the Awami League by sheltering them and making various evil plans.
The people of Bangladesh have started to believe that India is the main obstacle to the establishment of democracy, justice and rule of law in Bangladesh.

@sandeepmakkapati1668 Her opinion seems very neutral and accurate to me ( from Bangladesh) I also watched her in other chanels. She openly said she has close relation with Awami League supporters ( as an Indian , why would she make AL look bad perposly ? ) AL did many wrong things (BNP and others aren’t angels) and suffering now along with Bangladesh.
I think you should listen to her more bc her opinions are correct based on ground reports. India needs people like her not those who whenever see something new in neighbouring countries esp in Bangladesh they lost their mind and try to connect everything with whatever agenda they have for cover up their mistakes and lack of understanding the situation.

India needs to come out from the concept of ‘elder sibling’. ‘Big rules over small’, ‘Majority rules over minority’ these are all toxic ideas. Alexander taught Darius this hard way. Romans learned this from their so called barbaric Neighbours hard way.
We can talk if there is a mutual respect.

In recent developments, the initial Quota Movement has escalated into a full-scale revolution. Reports indicate in this time, an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 students and citizens have lost their lives. Now, the general populace largely supports the current government (Younus Govt.), which is seen as a potential vehicle for reform. There is a prevailing sentiment that Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League should be held accountable before being allowed to re-engage in political activities. Until such judgment occurs, they will be regarded similarly to a Nazi party within the country. In line with this, the Awami League's affiliated student organization has already been officially banned.

Most of disrespect over Shek Mujib happend because of his daughters looting and killing own citizens. Billions billions of dollar has been looted by Shek Hasina and her own group of people. And poor people got very angry and they demolished Shek Mujib stachu. India is not cornsurn about Bangladesh interest. India has 20 billion dollars export business with Bangladesh.
Bangladesh has only 2 billion export business with India. So Bangladesh has nothing to lose.
Modi government is also not good for a neighbour country. Consequences India has no friend country in South Asia. Bangladesh was solving our own problems. Why India is taking it as there own problems and making it worse.
Indian media is full of propaganda about Bangladesh. Where as, we are not cornsurn about other countries.
