Lee Labrada built a championship body and retained his remarkable physical architecture even after he retired from competition.
For all he accomplished physically, what Lee accomplished civically at Labrada Nutrition and for the City of Houston, Texas, forced greater, legitimate change to real people in need.
Lee was born in Havana, Cuba in 1960, to Spanish parents and Caribbean sun. He grew up in Houston and started lifting weights to get bigger for his high school football season. What began as a simple path, a sports incentive, opened to a superhighway toward bodybuilding supremacy. He was the smallest contestant in his first competition, and he won.
From 1982-1995, Labrada won 22 bodybuilding titles. He placed 4th or higher at the Olympia seven consecutive years (a feat matched only by the audacious Arnold). He was runner-up in both 1989 and 1990, but didn't win on the biggest stage, despite flexing one of best moustaches of the '80s.
He won Mr. Universe in 1985 and a slew of Grand Prix events, despite still being smaller (5-foot-6, 184 pounds) than most of his competitors.

When Lee was competing in the Mr O, i once watched a tape of his and I remember him saying that although he's a Pro bodybuilder, he keeps his life balanced, that's why I've always admired him, his advice has always made a lot of sense to me and his advice on here is very genuine!
Mr. La Brada, you are a scholar and a gentleman. The man speaks the truth offering sound advice advocating diet first which is key. Sells his products with integrity, wish there was more guys like him in the industry.
i see lots of trolls saying greenscreen but there is no greenscreen nor what so ever , he's in a gym (probably his gym) and he's sharing the REAL infos to all , the guy got lots of experience in the bodybuilding circuit guys !
I remember this guy in the 80s and he always stood out in the old muscle mags, it's a shame he never got the Olympia title.

A true gentleman and a champion. So much love and respect for Lee Labrada. I am impressed at the fact that he managed to have such a good life after retirement. Many pros mess their bodies so much that they don't have kids to begin with, and financially they don't do well either. Lee was mart and healthy all the way.
Physique, Brains work ethic, I met Lee briefly in NYC at Steel Gym and he is also a gentleman. My favorite bodybuilder of all time.
Lee still looks great. Also he's a great inspiration.

Lee came in to my sports shop in Nottingham England when he was doing a few spots here . It was 1989 and he was one of my faves. He came in with this guy called Stoney? Who I'd never heard of and wasn't that impressive.
I was so in ore of Lee at the time that I gave him a big discount on a Ski jacket he liked. I got a massive bollocking for doing that .. and the tight bastard never even offered me a free ticket... just moaned that I wasn't going to his show. Shit man I was only a junior sales guy and on pitence. You went down in my estimation from then on Mr. Lebrada. I see you've matured now !

The only way I could differentiate between Lee Labrada and Bob Paris was Lee's mustache. They both had beautiful symmetry and were very good looking...although I had a big boy crush on Bob Paris when I was 12 years old....he was the most beautiful man with the most beautiful body I've have ever seen...Thanks Bob...

LaBrada retired from bodybuilding because he knew he could not improve without upping his PED usage. He wanted to get off PED’s altogether and live truly healthy lifestyle. Remember, he said anyone can improve but will not be on the Olympia stage.
