When I saw words ' flat-float' I was immediately mentally transported back to early 1960s when 'slipstream' floats were being spoke of & tried out in angling press! A friend & I bought thin balsa wood sheets to make these floats that were rather like a boats rudder in shape ! They were used to overcome disturbance to the float from eddying surface currents so bites could be detected in even quite violent conditions ! They worked a real treat when other anglers were struggling as we were catching fish! I enjoyed your video & thank you !
