  • Hatching brine shrimp (Artemia eggs) without light and air stone (zero equipment)! Super easy solution for great live food for your fish and fry. It works great on small scale and doesn't require any work from your side.

Very ingenious product well thought out using the fact Artemia are drawn to light.

Your diagram showing how it works from the side was super helpful. I just set mine up yesterday and I put eggs inside the white ring as well :/ Oops! The instructions weren't super clear on mine.

Hey, what did you feed the fry for the first week?

If the fry is big enough: Baby Brine. In case it's very small: Infusoria. Maybe this will help: th-cam.com/video/9fpzK3qMTK0/w-d-xo.html

Hows this actually work without a artificial light source? Google says brine shrimp need light to hatch out, this is totally dark inside? Can anyone explain this?

Hi. Inside it is dark, but not completely. They can see the light coming through the middle and they are drawn to it. This is why they are concentrated in this small spot in the middle. But because they are migrating on their own from the outside circles - they are leaving the shells behind. This way you get clean bbs without anything else ;) But again - hatching rate is still smaller than in more conventional approaches.
