    The results you are getting are so good - I would have never guessed the layers of glass were resting on a stack of books 😬

    This is amazing! I definitely want to get into this eventually, and that tripod attachment seems pretty rad.

    Holy shit. I have the *exact* same tripod. My dad bought it YEARS ago and I took it for animation and video. That’s crazy to see someone else have it. It now resides in my trunk for emergency purposes lmfao

      It's a great one! I'm thinking of modding mine to have a little hook to attach a sandbag to it but it's held up surprisingly well.

    much respect for spending so much time exploring with a totally different kind of setup here. definitely something i’d love to try out sometime, if i can figure out some additional little twists to make it mine 👍🏻👍🏻

    So much effort you put into that short film, I really enjoyed it btw! Your style is so unique and interesting. Very underrated

    You can just use sandpaper to remove the sharp edge off the glass, we do that when we build fish tanks.

    This is fantastic, going to use this setup for my own animation but itll be painted on canvas boards cut out

    Its so cool how you sort of do a 2d animation style but with legos. Also is that kirby music?

    I think I would just take to pieces of wood and cut grooves in them to set the glass, just need access to a table saw though, you could cut a lot of extra groves for better placement options and then paint everything matte black. Sometimes if I have reflection issues I will cut a small hole in black poster board and have the camera look through the hole.
    Also if you only want one one sheet of museum glass you can go to a frame shop and ask if they have any cut off pieces of anti-glare museum glass and get it at a discount.

    What kind of a slider is that on your camera? It's the perfect size for this kind of animation and I would love to get one for my own stuff! Thanks for posting this video...I was using plexiglass and Lego blocks for my multiplane rig!

    • @Sonjira
      @Sonjira  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its a neewer macro slider! It's really handy for stop mo and/or still photography in general, highly recommend!!

    I presume that the same principle can apply to 2d animation as well?

    • @Sonjira
      @Sonjira  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hey, yes i would say so, more or less! if you're talking about paper/traditional animation, i'm adapting a lot of the principles for stop motion, so in a lot of ways it *might* be easier with 2d animation, as you don't have to worry *maybe* as much about, say, keeping lighting consistent as 3-dimensional characters move across the multiplane, for example. But lmk if i didn't understand your question right, and either way best of luck to you!
