Why did you miss all the timings for the movements? 00:00:00 - Allegro non tanto 00:13:00 - Adagio 00:25:08 - Scherzo (Furiant), Presto 00:33:46 - Finale, Allegro con spirito ;)
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@@leonidpolonsky4932 having listened to both symphonies often (and played in the Brahms) the similarity had never struck me though now have both tunes in my head! They are two finales written in the same keys a few years apart. I think they are allowed to be as similar as they are without Dvorak being accused of plagarism. I wonder whether Brahms ever made a comment. There's a lot more discussions about the influences on Dvoraks 6th symphony under the link below. I think is is interesting without making me think that Dvorak was anything less than a genius. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony_No._6_(Dvo%C5%99%C3%A1k)

@Arlo Francis instablaster =)
Brahms 2nd, 1877 ... Dvorak 6th, 1880.
Your point? Both are wonderful. And imo don't have much more in common than the key signature.
@@edwardhoward5525 I agree. However, I do noticed somehow the first movement shares a lot of commonalities with Beethoven's 3rd.
exactly, beginning of 4th movements
@@edwardhoward5525 Really? Look and listen to the beginning of 4th mvts of both symphonies for example.
