I've always loved how Pete uses his woodwinds. I love how, in the first movement, he gives us 6:8 going against 3:4. Pete is underrated. He did things that those who went ahead understood and used.

Pianist here. I’m very picky about my classical music recordings. This is one of the finest recordings of late-Renaissance/early Baroque keyboard music I’ve heard. The fact that I actually like how it sounds on the modern piano is a testimony to the performer. The works glitter, sparkle, dance, come alive, and breathe humanity and love. There is such a poetry in the voices bouncing off one another and weaving in and out , crossing and separating over and over again. Each short movement expresses a clear and complete musical journey within the construct of a miniature. The amount of space the performer places between the miniatures gives the listener just enough time to reflect, breathe and then be whisked into the next insatiating piece.

Desde luego, viendo los resultados, no hay comparación posible entre la simplona, aunque aparente, orquestación de Rimski y la extraordinariamente elaborada y compleja del gran maestro ruso, el mejor orquestador de su tiempo y, probablemente, de la historia.

The key here is wrong. It's in G major, not C major. In order for me to use this video for practicing, I downloaded the "Transpose" extension(one with a yellow background and two black arrows going up and down.) To set this to the original key, I transposed it up 5 times, and set the tuning by roughly .13 cents higher. This should hopefully help you fellow flutists out there. Cheers
