this is not my channel but would like to thank everyone for thier lovely comments. my father Andrew/Andy Rose was the singer for salt tank. he sadly passed away in 2012. but I am glad that his music has been able to have such an impact on your lives. he would be so impressed to have known he has so many fans. you have all brightened up a sad day for me and I am very greatful for the Internet/youtube and to all the people that have made it possible for me to listen to my dad everyday 😚👌👍❤❤❤
daryl rose I'm sad to hear the legend behind Salt Tank passed away. Unfortunately, all things must come to an end. This goes for the energy of life aswell as music genres. I wish you the best of luck! Your dad along with countless other dj's made a tremendous impact on millions around the globe. Musicians today still can't figure out what made this genre of music so special. Who knows how many people have this vinyl laying around somewhere in the attic, waiting to be re-discovered by an old soul who once went absolutely crazy on this track. Your dad left a legacy that echoes in eternity, you have every reason to be proud of him :)
I love listening to this with headphones, lying on my bed with my eyes shut. It makes me just drift away to far off places. Who needs drugs when music can do that?
Paul Oakenfold brought me here.... Im 50 now.. How good did we have it in comparison to the kids today.. As in right now??? Born in the 70's grew up in the 80's RAVED IN THE 90's Peace and love in these time is needed now more than ever remember our One Love Family..
And everyone remember songs like these were composed with technologies that are far inferior to those of today (I know I produce a bit..), This was written in 1994 I believe, so think back to that era. Microsoft Windows 95 and even Apple were running rudimentary versions of Cakewalk and Cubase, they didn't do a whole lot but give you 16 channels, #10 was dedicated to drums... .They weren't running Ableton or Logic and VST's and all done with software. These sounds were created through intuitive sequencing and expensive keyboards all wired together, some using control voltages to generate the sounds, literally electricity changing the sound.. To compare some of today's artists/music to songs like these is a joke. Two different leagues are the original House Music and Trance vs what kids today call "EDM". God I hate those letters....
Claire Sweet Quite possibly! Released in 1989 for $4000. I looked and the average Yearly Income in the US was $14,000, so these pieces of equipment werent cheap lol! check this out: www.synthark.org/Korg/T3.html Quite possible they used this or one of the other Korgs at the time. :) Sadly i could probably find a modern software version on the internet today. But its not the same.
Yano, this song means a lot to me. Back when my childhood friend was alive, we used to swing and laugh in the park and play this song. I miss those days, but I guess I can always transport myself back to them memories and feel alive again, just for a minute with Tony. I can do that by listening to this music. It truly is beautiful. It truly is.
We are fast approaching a period were we will be able to use vast computational power for virtual reality. And at some point in the late 2020s to 2040s we will be able to actually go back in time via virtual reality.
Loved this in 1997 and now 21 years later still love it. Amazing track. It has all over this sunset, beach, chill, ocean, waves, happiness, warmth feeling.
I listened to this the first time I ever danced with my little girl. She was only a matter of hours old at the time. Every time I hear it, the memories just come rushing back. A forever classic for me now ❤️
How on earth is this nearly 30 years old? I don't know but it's still one of the most beautiful songs ever created. We're still here and the sunsets are still amazing, but will they ever be as vibrant as they were when this was new?
Years ago my girlfriend (now wife) bought me some vinyl for a birthday. This was one of them and it has been my most treasured slab of plastic ever since. She knows nothing of trance and just picked this out by sheer fluke!!
never forget, never give up,we were lucky to have lived through this period of creative alchemy known as trance .progressive to the last.brothers and sisters and those in the know.. i salute you.
shout out to all the dance pirate station in dublin that took to the air waves in dublin in the 90s,they made this tune very special because i knew i would never hear another tune like it and that being true to this day. sent from the heavens this tune it has everything a dance tune should have, most of all it has compassion in it.
It turns out that it is the most frequent video on youtube I visit recent months. The tune itself gives me feeling of relax and chill, brings me memory of driving car along the Mediterranean coast. Great tune, and thanks for sharing.
First heard this on Pete Tong's Essential selection & never have I forgot it I wish I still had the cd single as I gave it away just amazing one of my favourite tunes of all time God bless Andy Rose didn't know he had passed xxxx
This is the autumn's anthem! It makes me think of autumn evenings in the park with the ground covered in yellow leaves. The power of electronic music is greater than most people believe.
This tune brings a tear to my eyes everytime i hear it, its beautiful, it reminds me of better times and its just so much better than any of the shit i hear today. Please someone invent me a time machine, i need to go back and experience this beautiful tune in a proper club again.
salt tank had balls the will was there and its creit to them for creating a masterpiece, pirate stations had a big part to play aswell those djs in the shed out the back did alot for this tune back in the day,i miss those channels..... carolina!
This period of music, to me, was like when civilisation lost the old world. The world of the Golden age, when Atlantis still stood strong. What happened to our music? I could see the sun setting in the 2000's. It was painful to see and hear as it transitioned into Hard House. I'm an Empath. So losing Trance was a bit like mourning the death of a loved one. I will never forget those times, nor the music. A truly golden age of music. This particular track was with me when I had run away from home. A stupid mistake, but I needed to be on my own, my own person. I was too old, I felt, coming to the end of my teens into my 20's. This music carried me thru some tough sh1t. Farewell, Old world, we will never forget you.
s0nnyburnett don't mean to offend but even though tiesto is a great DJ by his own right.. if it wasn't for other DJ's leading the way there mite not av been a tiesto. this track was on the original unoffical goa mix by Paul oakenfold back in 1995.. but then was officially realeased on the goa mix in 2011.. check it out dude.
I heard this track first in 1998 as the closing track for deeper euphoria 2, first disc. Wow what a closing it was! I bought this set prior to a drive at night from Tempe AZ to Southern Cali. In 1998.
That's something you don't hear everyday! I'm jealous! Only major names I've ever spent any real amount of time hanging out with were Uberzone when I picked him up from the airport for a gig in town, and Rabbit in the Moon's Monk, who is native to my city and I know personally from our local scene. Curious, did they perform live then or was it a DJ performance? Do you recall? Im not even sure if they were performance based or dj's honestly. Back then we didn't get a lot of people into the states often other than the huge names like digweed sasha carl cox etc....
It was a live set, went down a storm. Final frontier was a great night, split into three rooms and the Pop Art room was the room for 'harder' music. The main room tended to be less full on. They set up on the stage and within seconds of starting the room was rammed, sweat dripping off everyone, lots of smiling and shaking of booties!
2020... Em meio a uma pandemia, este som me ajuda a não perder o foco. Magnífico trabalho, com absoluta certeza está no meu case de boas recordações. Forte abraço a todos que comungam da mesma sensação e energia que esta track me traz.

First time discovering this magical track and I have fallen in love. I envy you 70s babies that grew up with this sound, coming from a 26 year old!

nothing today even comes close to classics like this
I have a Korg T3 and I can play along and it sounds exactly the same - I guess that's where the sounds came from .
yeah and i sound just like Tupac.
