Hi, it's april 2nd 2022 here in Antwerpen, Belgium. I'm 48 and I've known this tune since it was composed... My beloved friend Bib has left this life ... His lovely wife played this, one of his favorite tracks at his funeral last saturday. It brought tears to his closest and oldest friends because of all the memories it brought back of a magical era in our youth that we shared with him. Heavy contemplations. I wish you all a prosperous life and lots of love. He would have loved those words. Wouter.
Wout, sad to hear of your loss. I, also 48 used to listen to this when, much younger, was still living in Berlin many years ago. Terrifying how quickly it can all end. Greetings from your country, Belgium, (to which I have since moved). Keep your friend in memory, always.
We have one thing in common, took the words right out of my mouth, I've always been fully in love with this track and also at age 53 , I'll never feel to old , it takes control over my body every time 💕👍🤟😀
I’m 23 I was born in 1996. This track is my first ever memory of music as a child. My parents listened to trance a lot back then. I love trance music it takes you to another dimension
Exactly my friend. 1999-2012 was the best era of Trance music. We should feel blessed we experienced it at its best. Also these years were also better compared to the current in out life I guess.
Nice, but Three Drives is from the Netherlands though ;) Also, there are still plenty of decent gigs to find. Not just this genre but also nice other underground genres. Technology keeps going so does music.
@@N1Z3L They probably came to Greece at this year and something wonderful probably happened to them or they experienced. So they named their track Greece 2000 I guess. Well. Anyone's coming to Greece and its seas, beaches, sun etc. feels surely wonderful :)
This track utterly transports me. Back to high school, back to my first rave, back to the blissful pain of crushes... it's something beyond words. Love to all of you who can relate, and love to those of you discovering this track now!

Salt water by Chicane comes as close to this as a goosebump joy from the past. Bygone era, glad to have rode the rave train 1988 - 2006 rave to the grave, I'm a Graver now, 52 and can still shuffle, running man, just about. Blessings from rave capital at one point Scotland 🙏
Peace to all the lovelies still listening to this classic. It's now, more than ever, we old school ravers need to reignite and show the world what unity looks like. Pay it forward. :)
Greece 2000, Saltwater and Cafe Del Mar are the trio of love, passion and ecstasy. The epitome of trance music, there is nothing better than this in the whole universe! Some people want to go back in time to Woodstock or Studio 54. I want to go back to Ibiza in the late 90s!
i must agree Ibiza in 98 - 99 was just magical and something i will cherish for the rest of my life, i can't dance anymoore due to becoming disabled after a bad bike accident but i wish i could just have a night where i could
We Play Wax Me too but all the above got a time machine wtf not?!

If you just played a trance song to someone who's never heard it before, chances are they won't like it. It's such a pure form of music that you feel through the length of a track as it evolves, that's why they're 8 mins long sometimes. The melody doesn't just hit your ears, it goes through you.
You need training to like trance, because of how long it takes to get to where it's going to. The thing I suggest is starting someone new off with a good mix album, or if you don't have as much time, deadmau5 - HR 8938 Cephei or Delerium feat. Sarah McLachan - Silence (DJ Tiësto's In Search Of Sunrise Remix).
Why don't they make Trance music like this anymore? I mean we can still have Uplifting Trance and Tech Trance but why not also have Progressive Trance like this? The melodies were more magical, the music took you away. You could get lost in the music and drift away into dreamland. Hopefully as dance music evolves they'll bring back this beautiful style of Trance.
Rick Terscale Hi Rick I'm sorry to bother you like this but it was pure a coincident that I read you message over here , I totally agree with you and that's why I try to bring back the old trance style in my tracks because I love that most of all , maybe if you will and have the time for it go to Sound cloud and search for John Daleman , I uploaded a couple of my trance tracks over there , and I hope that they can make you drift away to dreamland again , if not then I'm very sorry for pestering you like this ....LOL :) :) :)John
Rick Terscale check out airwave and j00f. sucks that good progressive house/trance isnt really around. these days there is a lot of great stuff happening in deep house and techno but those genres are kinda stagnant
+Rick Terscale If you are interested, check out Pryda. Granted it is not exactly the same as this, but many of the tracks on his 'Eric Prydz Presents Pryda', album are really great, melodic, progressive trance influenced house. Really not too dissimilar from this.

It’s a great connection with others scrolling through the comments & the memories it’s held from ones past, not to mention the nostalgic feelings it’s has for everyone. Thanks for liking my (Ultra BASIC) video & this awesome track. 👌🏼👌🏼 Peace & love people ,Phil. (Trancetube1987)

What a great year to be when you were 20 years old, The Millennium year, full of pills and listening to this! I mean come on all these young ones have it shit now!! haha. We were blessed!!
yup.............. I'm 31 now... and missed dancing to this shit in Ibiza or whatever.... but I've been collecting music all my life + soundtracks + everything that has a good vibe,... funky tunes,... house,.. deep house... (like Adana Twins - Strange) or Bones - Electric love or... The Veils - Low lays the devil became a producer... (soundtrack editor) - had a hard drive crash and lost 2TB of data in a 3TB HDD crash; (it happened in the week I was looking for a backup solution) the flame got extinguished a bit.... in the sense I didn't wanna touch my keyboard again because of the bad psychological anchor that I had and it reminded me of how much I lost; listening to this tune, man..... feeling the shivers on my skin again.... I realize the flame can NEVER BE EXTINGUISHED!!! (Reply to this message if you're curious about my soundcloud... I don't want this message to be a promotional one... just a confession.)
Oh, on October 15 you wrote this? On October 15, I went to New York on the trip of my dreams. Greetings from Spain. Long live dance, techno, progressive and trance. 10-05-2024
This a time where society can listen to an 8 minute track, and not at all get bored. Today, our society doesn't have the patience and skill set to listen and appreciate a piece of art. We can place blame on the digital world, smart phones, etc. Everybody needs 2-3 min tracks, because that's all kids attention spams are anymore...lame. I'm just glad I have experienced both.
Yeah thanks for stereotyping everyone of this generation. There's still enough 6-12 minutes stuff being released and let's not forget that there were radio mixes back then too because you had enough people who didn't have the patience too...
michael sherman Actually it depends on the genre, i'm not listening to Techno, i just wanted to see how it sounds like, techno needs more time because is more progressive, dubstep not that much, this why it's shorter
Jason Smith your right , and I thank the lucky stars I was there to witness it all in the clubs , we witnessed something special that won’t ever get replicated ever again
I remember back in the early 2000's dancing to this tune in a nightclub with my mates. No worries, no commitments, no phones & no hassle. Just pure love for this incredible nostalgic music. Trance will always live on
It hits the spot day after day, year after year. One day after the next the grind continues. This tune keeps the wheels turning, the juice flowing, and for that we should be truly grateful
Oh I was 15 years old when I hers this music and I made Tunning with my boyfriend. This music,Binary Finary,Sunbeam and all the mixes of Kaï Tracid mades me energy.Sorry for my english,I'(m french...
The first time i heard it it was on a boat party as the sun was rising over the Lake Balaton i Hungary. Fuck I fell in love..no shazam and shit...had to investigate for days what it was. It was a straight hit. I miss those days. Life was good
There are some tracks that will never die... Although the wide variety of genres as well as the details which define them will continue to evolve, some tracks will always remain as indelible memories. This is one of them.
A54yo man from Greece down here in Australia, YES, I missed these years back then , the whole story , i can find that anymore, so sad but still groovy to remember
it's kinda funny, I'm in my mid 30s play a lot of trance vinyl from back then a lot of folks don't like it, even my girl friend really. but it makes me feel nostalgic:)
Dermot love I'm a bit younger than you (27) so I never saw the golden era of trance unfortunately. I would have loved to have experienced Ibiza in the late 90s/early 00s!
@@richardclatworthy6381 ikr. Where did the bloody time go 🤷♀️ my memory is a little hazy but these tunes are etched into my soul. If I make it to 80 yrs old ill still be vibing to this genre haha
I'm 18 and I'm sad to say my generation has completely dismantled music In general, damn I feel like I lived the 90s period I feel the music take over my flowing blood, the beats the sync is just fantastic this is real music here. I'm so gutted I didn't live in that time. Damn this is just magical
Just sold my beloved technics 1210s and was going thru my old vinyl when I came across this old monster.. Great memories playing this record in the clubs.. Still sounds epic after 14 years :)
This track takes me to places that words cant do justice in describing... I remember when this came out and yet because there was so many fine trance artists back then its impact is even bugger now than it was back then. Makes me realise how much the standard of music has dropped in all genres.
Listening on December 29th, 2021! This song will NEVER get old or die, this is one of the most iconic and beautiful electronic songs ever made, and I'm pretty sure that almost everyone here agrees with me, don't you? Cheers from Brazil! I wish a better 2022 for every single one of you, no matter which corner of the world you are right now! :-)
I'm here again. Had to listen to it for quite some time. There are no words to describe how I feel when I hear it. Especially after all this time. It takes me somewhere magical. Have a nice day!

+Rick Terscale If you are interested, check out Pryda. Granted it is not exactly the same as this, but many of the tracks on his 'Eric Prydz Presents Pryda', album are really great, melodic, progressive trance influenced house. Really not too dissimilar from this.
Really a masterpiece about trance. I remember when was released. I'm 57 and still in love with this song
Epitome of trance ... I can't describe how this track makes me feel .. insanely beautiful track..❤️❤️
😄This is progressive house, not trance.
@nexusi6867 This is completly Progressive Trance.
@@nexusi6867 What you talking about?

Wow...I uploaded this over 9 year ago & the views & attention it holds around the world is sublime. 15 million views is insane, no doubt because of this heartfelt trance classic. It’s a great connection with others scrolling through the comments & the memories it’s held from ones past, not to mention the nostalgic feelings it’s has for everyone. Thanks for liking my (Ultra BASIC) video & this awesome track. 👌🏼👌🏼
Peace & love people ,Phil. (Trancetube1987)
That's because it's such an uplifting track. ❤️
Pheel L Do you get paid off those views from TH-cam?
Dan Tha Man ...no I don’t get paid Dan? This is not my track. I’d like to think of my TH-cam channel as a “old school trance archive” for people to browse. Enjoy
@@pheell7408 Yeah I know it's not your song...I was just wondering if you got paid for the amount of clicks/view's on the video. Anyway's thank's for the info
Dan Tha Man ah unfortunately not, I wouldn’t complain if I did haha...it’s all about the music 🎧 thanks!
What a great year to be when you were 20 years old, The Millennium year, full of pills and listening to this! I mean come on all these young ones have it shit now!! haha. We were blessed!!
As a 20 year old Greek who studied in England at that time i have to say you re right :) England was the place to be at the time at least music wise!
yup..............
I'm 31 now... and missed dancing to this shit in Ibiza or whatever....
but I've been collecting music all my life + soundtracks + everything that has a good vibe,... funky tunes,... house,.. deep house... (like Adana Twins - Strange) or Bones - Electric love or... The Veils - Low lays the devil
became a producer... (soundtrack editor) - had a hard drive crash and lost 2TB of data in a 3TB HDD crash; (it happened in the week I was looking for a backup solution)
the flame got extinguished a bit.... in the sense I didn't wanna touch my keyboard again because of the bad psychological anchor that I had and it reminded me of how much I lost;
listening to this tune, man..... feeling the shivers on my skin again.... I realize the flame can NEVER BE EXTINGUISHED!!!
(Reply to this message if you're curious about my soundcloud... I don't want this message to be a promotional one... just a confession.)
I'm so pleased to be an 80's baby and appreciate all these amazing trance tunes when they first came out
Im 47 It's 15th October 2023 in liverpool and this is being played like it was yesterday. Still sounds so amazing 👏🏻
Oh, on October 15 you wrote this? On October 15, I went to New York on the trip of my dreams. Greetings from Spain. Long live dance, techno, progressive and trance.
10-05-2024
I used to be a DJ that time! Man...WOW... what a track was that!!!
You Ar Absolut rigth With your Statement Y Fink exactely The Same were ar the good old times with tracks from 8 too 10 minutes 😉
its the best prograsive house.
michael sherman you are so, so right! Exactly that I was explaining my son today while listening to this track
It’s impossible to listen to this masterpiece and not dance. This was the greatest era of trance. It’ll never sound this good again sadly
Jason Smith your right , and I thank the lucky stars I was there to witness it all in the clubs , we witnessed something special that won’t ever get replicated ever again
@@scorpioone3932 So true! Would love rewind the clock back to the late 90's and early 00's 🙌
Vg tune, but not the greatest era. That was roughly 92-96.
Oh hell yeh!!!
I remember back in the early 2000's dancing to this tune in a nightclub with my mates. No worries, no commitments, no phones & no hassle. Just pure love for this incredible nostalgic music. Trance will always live on
50 year old here. Remembering this track from a lot of no so clear nights clubbing. TUNE!!!!
19 year old here
12 year old here lol
17 year old here...really sad that I wasn't part of 90s generation

36 year old here, I was blasting this on my 10 CD stacker in 2000 driving to the club
Brings tears to my eyes and in melancholy heaven everytime I hear it. Take me back to the 90s
Possibly the greatest ever trance tune ever to grace this world..... its magical
It hits the spot day after day, year after year. One day after the next the grind continues. This tune keeps the wheels turning, the juice flowing, and for that we should be truly grateful
Man... The memories! So glad I was part of those days.
This tune never grows old, never gets tired, and is never one that gets the skip button. When it's played people quieten down and listen!!
asi es !!
This is one the golden tracks on earth

It's gorgeous. Very inspiring.
Max Blare you can't have said it any better

Savage tune don’t matter how old this song gets
I haven't heard this track for years.. And now I have to pause and take a break.. because I don't know if my heart can take it.
That's exactly how I feel. It's almost painful.
One of the all time classic dance tunes. Dancing with my two year old daughter round the living room to this today ❤

That is Trance. Wie ich diesen Track gefeiert habe ... Gott gib mir eine Zeitmaschine. Ich komme nicht mehr zurück :D 4 ever 95 - 99

The first time i heard it it was on a boat party as the sun was rising over the Lake Balaton i Hungary. Fuck I fell in love..no shazam and shit...had to investigate for days what it was. It was a straight hit.
I miss those days. Life was good
which year was it? :)
Maybe 2000? ;)
Released: 25 November 1997
én is ott voltam :) a két hajót úgy kapcsolták össze, hogy ez a zene ment végig :)
I’m 53 this year and still look for this music to play on my headphones and dance in my kitchen! It takes me back to Ibiza big time ❤️✨
There are some tracks that will never die... Although the wide variety of genres as well as the details which define them will continue to evolve, some tracks will always remain as indelible memories. This is one of them.
It is a beautiful iconic track!
I came here today just because it popped into my head at work and I just had to listen to it again!
A54yo man from Greece down here in Australia, YES, I missed these years back then , the whole story , i can find that anymore, so sad but still groovy to remember
in my 30s now.nothing has yet come close to the genius of that era.long live the best.
So right!
it's kinda funny, I'm in my mid 30s play a lot of trance vinyl from back then a lot of folks don't like it, even my girl friend really. but it makes me feel nostalgic:)
class
It's a classic, so feel lucky that you can recognise and appreciate REAL music ;-)
Dermot love I'm a bit younger than you (27) so I never saw the golden era of trance unfortunately. I would have loved to have experienced Ibiza in the late 90s/early 00s!
I'm listening to this while cooking and I find myself dancing around the kitchen I can't help it I just want to keep moving this is f****** awesome.
2024 and they Don’t make bangers like this anymore…
They never will again. How lucky were we to go clubbing to this 😊

Too bad we gotta get old ….
@@richardclatworthy6381 ikr. Where did the bloody time go 🤷♀️ my memory is a little hazy but these tunes are etched into my soul. If I make it to 80 yrs old ill still be vibing to this genre haha
I am a proud Owner of this (Original) Vinyl. I played that Song soooooo often in that good old Days!! I still get Goosebumps ♥️♥️♥️♥️
When this was out, I was a radio and club jock. Now I'm a clergyman and it still rocks!!!

One of the best Trance Traks ever!!!
One of the best tracks ever.
2023 and this song is still an absolute banger 💜
I'm 18 and I'm sad to say my generation has completely dismantled music In general, damn I feel like I lived the 90s period I feel the music take over my flowing blood, the beats the sync is just fantastic this is real music here. I'm so gutted I didn't live in that time. Damn this is just magical
Go back to the 80s, seek out electro, old school house, early techno, you'll be amazed.
dw dude it'll be back, trends always come back.
just keep playing the tracks and it'll come back sooner.
+Ben Swanwick Nah I appreciate all music even down to classical. Ludovico einaudi ect.
+Jogo Lock blue Monday was an 80s beaut
I miss 1998. Oh the good old days.
😭😭😭😭😭
Everytime I play this song I am teleported to Greece on the beach with a frappe and a cig ❤
This is one of the greatest Ibiza tunes of all time!

One of my Favorite Track thumb up.
37 and this still gives me goosebumps when it drops
Yes, I'm listening in 2019. Stop asking.
Wojciech Łysiak 💯😂
In other words, as long as we are here, this good auld tune will be 👂🏴👍

In 2016 it still makes the summer feel much sunnier.
Cannot believe this track is 23 years old!! Timeless masterpiece of dance music! Thank you Carl Cox - non-stop remix for introducing me to it ♥️
I'm here again. Had to listen to it for quite some time. There are no words to describe how I feel when I hear it. Especially after all this time. It takes me somewhere magical.

👍👍😎😎
I would add 2001 as well. But for sure those were the best times of Trance Music. Today's music sucks. :-(
For me trance died in 2008. I had an amazing run between 2006-2008 thanks to Anjunabeats being in its prime, but look at them now...

One of the best intros in trance history.
Awesome
The chord progression speaks to my soul ❤
It is the number one best trance song and intro ever created. And probably the best song of all electronic/ techno/ dance music ever.
I don’t know what song that is better than this one
😄This is progressive house, not trance.
