From a time when trance was trance.I find that the euphoric melody of this tune absolutely leaves my mind in another place, far away from the troubles of life....i love trance !!
Hugo Hakvoort I love JOOF and Airwave but their Trance is very different from this. John is almost Psy half the time and Airwave more like Prog-House.... This style of Trance is almost non-existant nowadays.
Probably the bench mark of trance amaaaazing tune, especially when using psychedelics. Can't count how many times I have listened to this track absolutely magical.
Anyone who knows this tune, is my brother and sister in this life. This tune allowed me to move to another plane when listening. Removed all stress and anxiety. It is the absolute ultimate relaxing journey.
Finally found this. Now it's 1998 and i'm driving home, It's dark the car feels good. The dashed lines on the country road flash by and this is playing full blast out of my sub woofer. Just beautiful.
Who else thinks their existence must be a blessing, what memories do we share of this song together? I hope you have a good day if you read this, this really fills me with life...
The best track on a brilliant and underated album. A true classic, beautiful. One of my favourite tracks of all time. Inspired me to make my own music.
an oakenfold/sasha classic from about 96, agree with below comments i think you could throw in chicanes "offshore" and BT "flaming june" into the mix as well. fucking hell. . great music ,magical times brothers and sisters, for those in the know..i salute you..
This is an absolutely beautiful piece of trance , my favourite of all time . Bliss,Euphoria comes to mind when listening to this classic. The chill out mix is very soothing too
Such a complicated song, on the one hand I reminisce about great times with awesome people, on the other I get sad thinking about how those times are long gone
There are other tunes that are complete bangers and I love them all, but this track has another level to it. The minute starting at 03:30 is as good as it gets.
''..... and do you know Carolina.... where the biscuits are soft and sweet' . At the time I did not know the original song lyrics were about rape (too young to understand!), so I pretty much took the lyrics literally and actively sought out cookies from both North and South Carolina for many years. Classic tune, slightly confusing choice of sample though..... or was it just because it was a capella and therefore easy to sample cleanly.... I can imagine the conversation in the studio :) :)
Spent 9 years looking for this tune borrowed a CD from a DJ in 1998 and recorded it onto tape never bothered to write down titles all I can remember it was a gold cover with a child's face in the middle of the cover ministry of sound or gatecrashers ??????
ahhh yes my man and my memories were down the fields of north co.dublin ireland listnin 2 it when it was pirate radio sunset fm:) a tune i always longed too ere and own again
This is what I meant regarding the Healing aspects to this Music, and when you add the right combinations of other Tracks you activate all Energy Centres in the Body ,Healing
Actually Eugina was included in a three track release in 1994 but wasn't picked up as a lead single until 1996. Children was released in 1995 and gained steam in 1996 as EDM started to hit the mainstream. Both are amazing tracks and I don't think you can honestly state or believe that Robert Miles ripped off Salt Tank with his track, as they are quite different and distinct.
it's when the music has an uplifting feel without being either cheesey or up its own arse, THATS when its best! beautiful sound. is that stevie nicks voice they sampled?
I want to meet all of you just because you know of this song.
+DiMarzio/ ibz come to Latvia then :D
Me!
or Poland :D
New Zealand! :D
Let me win the lotto and I'll visit everyone haha.
I saw Salt Tank in Nottingham about 1996/7. Such epic night
From a time when trance was trance.I find that the euphoric melody of this tune absolutely leaves my mind in another place, far away from the troubles of life....i love trance !!
There is still trance which is trance, check out John 00 Fleming and Airwave for example.
Hugo Hakvoort

Great thought. God bless.Trance can bring us together.
20 odd years later and this still makes my heart melt . 1996-2001..the golden years of Trance and Progressive house.

It doesn't get any better than this. Hairs on my arms standing up on end listening to the sequence around seven minutes in. Sublime.

EPIC CLASSIC!!!
There are other tunes that are complete bangers and I love them all, but this track has another level to it. The minute starting at 03:30 is as good as it gets.
The vocals are samples taken from Tori Amos - Me And A Gun (91)

Greatest of all time 🤩😍 Instant goosebumps
I believe in God's beauty and creation.... this music opens the senses!!!
The only sound that can match the majesty of God's beauty is this stuff.
It's not God
It's salt tank

Totally agree with previous comments. ..a taste of Chicane and BT flaming June....very good tune

This is actually way better and timeless ie u never get bored of this....most other things go stale & run their due course for/after a while
The Goa mix.

Tori Amos
+Thomas Reynolds Exactly. That's the sample that the track is built around. Glorious.
