Strawberry, BLUEBERRY OATMEAL PIE DONUTS

-can’t really taste the oatmeal pie in either variation (the one with the fruit and the regular). It basically becomes dough with a little cinnamon taste
-the oatmeal pies get soft once they are thawing so be sure to get them in the freezer as you fry them.

Glaze
1½ cup powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons of milk
1 Tablespoon of softened cream cheese
2 oz’s of Grand Marnier
Whisk until smooth
Optional:
Here’s a simple recipe to cook down strawberries and blueberries into a syrup:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for a hint of tartness)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Fruit: Wash the strawberries and blueberries thoroughly. Hull and chop the strawberries into small pieces.
2. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, blueberries, sugar, and water. Stir to mix.
3. Cook the Syrup: Place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
4. Simmer: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer. Continue to stir occasionally, breaking down the fruit with a spoon or a masher, for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fruit is soft and the syrup has thickened.
5. Add Lemon Juice: If desired, add the lemon juice to the mixture and stir well. This will add a bit of tartness and help preserve the bright color of the syrup.
6. Strain (Optional): For a smooth syrup, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the fruit pulp. Press down with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. If you prefer a chunkier syrup, you can skip this step.
7. Cool and Store: Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Transfer it to a clean, airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. The syrup will thicken slightly as it cools.
Use pancake batter as the breading (optional add vanilla flavor, cinnamon, nutmeg)
