Here are the exact locations: Sleighton Farm School - 478 Valley Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342, USA George W. When I was a child we traveled frequently from New Jersey to our Grandparents' homes in Pittsburgh. After an always tedious voyage on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, we would round the bend and see the majestic and scary blast furnace flames of the Carrie Steel mill welcoming us to Pittsburgh. We'd wake up the younger kids to see. A neat memory. My Dad worked there for a Summer while at Penn State before WWII. Orémus Y'akk.
So Lincoln Way is no more. They tore down all the houses and now the environment took over. You can’t go on the road they have it blocked off with barriers. Carry blast furnace has guided tours in the spring summer and fall. It’s a nice tour if you go do that. I’m only 30 minutes away from the 2 places so many times I’ve been there.
I driven and live not far from Lynewood Hall and that is the first time in 40 years I have ever seen the inside of it before and after it's ruin! It's massive and I have stopped and just looked passed the gates before wondering what they are going to do with it's beautiful structure! Abington hospital has buildings named after the Weidners! And the Titanic connection is just insane!
Westmoreland Glass in Grapeville, Pa is also a sad sight. At one time some say even royalty in England owned its wares. Now it is barely a shell of a place.
Thank You for this Video ! It is obvious that these places need attention. These places need repair and maintenance and you cannot do this without money . Again Thank You for this Video .
Hurry up if you wanna see Pepper high school. They will tear it down soon. Be careful though. It’s all crackheads and homeless. I can’t believe it’s even still standing. It is on the very edge of the city with not a lot of residential areas. By the airport in SW Philly
I grew up running around , climbing , camping out & partying at Carrie Furnace & been all over the houses on Lincoln Way. I was there for most of the dear heads construction by a local artistic group , there is a Owl too but its alot smaller & way way up near the top. That said awesome video & Lincoln way has been demolished ! It's completely gone these days , it was a lil creepy possibly haunted cause I've seen some odd shit happen there. Carrie Furnace has seen it all !! They flooded out the underneath to keep us all out of it mostly cause of there have been O.D's there & bodies found submerged or floating . Before this new face lift & use homeless people lived in certain areas , I remember one old man stayed way up in a old office type location of it ( we used to take & leave him food on holidays ) ive had some great times there & still do with GloryDaze M/C being held there. Thanks!!!
Go to the Wyoming Valley, Scranton, Wilkes Barre, and Hazelton. Still shows the aftermath of the Coal industry. Now, there has been progress in cleaning up. You can still see it .
That Lincoln Way thing and you showed a picture of the city of clairton that's been torn down now for about 8 years and it's not on Lincoln Way has never been on Lincoln Way and it was a dead end section off of route 837. The property is now for sale. Also Carrie furnace is not abandoned anymore. It has become a center for the arts.

Lincoln Way is completely gone. They tore down every house a couple years ago.

Lincoln Way is near Kennywood Amusement park. Drove past like 8 years ago and found out they tore it all down.

Sleighton Farms is pronounced Slayton Farms, like Santa’s sleigh.

Always carry spray paint when visiting remote or abandoned places. 👍
