General admission is good u get to go and wonder about the track or u can get a grandstand ticket with includes an allocated seat plus general admission
If you look on the website there are maps which show you exactly which tickets let you go where. But to answer your question, GA tickets allow you into any of the standing areas but won’t get you access to any seating, other than on the Friday. I believe it’s the grandstand ticket you’ll want, but that has some restrictions too so best check online :)

I’m going to silverstone in July next year, I got general admission so without seats, any tips of where good places to stand are?
I would say around luffield if you can get a good spot, or you could stand at the final club chicane
