I played the game at launch, so I don't remember all of the details, but as far as I recall, Kotallo gives up on the mechanical arm after testing it at the end of the quest, since wearing it made him feel like who he used to be, not who he currently was. So that's why he doesn't wear it in cutscenes afterwards, it's a conscious choice from him to reject it and instead stay true to what he perceives as his true self rather than some kind of technical oversight on the developers' part.

@@pathogeneration5138Personally the biggest thing I love about this game is the action, even after playing Elden Ring I think Horizon combat is the best of anything I’ve played. It’s so much more involved to have enemies with specific weak points that offer more benefit to hitting them then just more damage. Also you can have more options at the same time so you can shake it up on the fly. It’s honestly the most fun of any game I’ve played
I love the game and thank you for pointing out how good it is. I've played both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, in sequence, for more than 10 times, in various difficulty settings, used different play strategies and every time the games rewarded me with little bits that playing the previous times didn't. Your love of this game and series is so refreshing. I absolutely love them, but there's a lot of hate out there. Also, love that this isn't just a summary video, you've done an awesome job providing information where necessary, while analysing and discussing the content perfectly. I'd love to see more of these.
This game is an absolute masterpiece, one of the best game I ever played, and I’ve been playing video games for over 30 years now And even though the game sold fairly well and got fairly good reviews, I still think it is massively underrated The amount of work, passion, talent and generosity that was put into this game is stunning
For the first Tremortusk fight, I used sneak skills to go around the entire camp and kill each defender one by one until it was only iota lol, myself and the tremortusk. It simplified the fight enough to kill it easily, just requires patience to wait out each NPC individual walk patterns
Great video. The pit masters are completely broken. The only way i was able to beat the thronmarsh one was by placing traps down in the pit before starting which then stay when u fight the master. It atleast makes them bearable
Thank you for this wonderful analysis! It's like hearing my own thoughts, but the way you present it, it's just so much better! You are so skilled at explaining every single detail with depth. It's so refreshing hearing a positive and thoughtful analysis. You show a deep understanding around the story and game mecanics that I adore! Points that I liked: 1) the soundtrack is a masterpiece, and I agree, it's perfect for Aloy's development, the sadness but also the hope behind it. 2) the greeting of a old friend when picking up the controller: YES! 3) The overall development of Aloy. How she goes from solo to teamwork was so beautiful. 4) The side quests never feel like a chore, but gives so much extra story! 5) The representation!! 6) Horsey (End) Horizon is the best, and only open world game I have finished. And I play a lot of games. But it's just something about Horizon that's just perfect - and you explain it so well! I can happily tell you something you long for in part VII: I understand! GREAT VIDEO! Thank you
Aloy never wanted to be part of the Nora tribe. She ran the proving so she could win a boon, make the matriarchs tell her who her mother was. Even before Rost says goodbye, Aloy asks "see you back home in a few days?" Aloy's gear was not taken by bandits, Aloy says I've run into a bit of trouble along the way, lost most of my gear" No bandits were mentioned.
My dog, Leia, made her audio debut in this video at 26:09 She wanted me to tell everyone to like, comment, subscribe, and join my Patreon. Her words, not mine. 🤞😇 www.patreon.com/meromorphic
One thing I REALLY wish they improve for the next game is Alloy's movement, especially in combat. The lack of something more dynamic like parrying, a boosted jump and sprint or a more efficient dodge and shield is the my biggest complain of the series. The hardest machines sometimes feel frustrating to fight because their attacks is mostly to jump over you and sometimes you simply can't do anything and WILL get damage, doesn't matter how many tools, gears, skills and upgrades you have. I don't want her to be invicible, of course, but the game not offering a decent way to avoid attacks is a simplistic mechanic that only engender frustration. That said....this is probably my favorite game series ever. I've just completed Burning Shores (and what a final boss! I've been dreaming for that kind of boss fight in the series) and I've discovered your video and watched the whole thing. Congratulations for such deep and thoughful analysis.
@@Meromorphic yes, but reskins being the Dozens alright. (19:43). if only there were '100+ 'different' machines' instead, yes? even though it would break the game, but I do not care.
@@Meromorphic old ideas of guerrilla and concept arts of theirs were intended to be literal for the tallneck units in Gameplay, beyond just that complicated quest. literally able to take one out freely compared to what we have been given in the final build of the first game's tallneck units from back then. "everyone" you say. The most monotonously droll plank around. This game needs a friggin alarm to sound to wake me up after the cut-scenes. It'd be excessive if the characters were interesting. Extreme bloat with boring characters is torture. I'd rather look at the wall. At least I could mentally project something engaging on the wall.
I replayed Zero Dawn right before jumping into Forbidden West. Best decision I’ve ever made! Things flowed so well and boi what a rollercoaster that was
the fact that this game, the best looking game of this gen, rums so smoothly with barely any bugs, that's proof of the care an dedication the devs put in it! and the you have other releases with awful optimisation selling for 75€ ...
Maybe I missed it but did you notice the Land-Gods themselves were named after the musical notes from the song from Sound of Music, Do Re Mi Fa etc? There was also a data point that says the dishes that the Utaru make their home were named the same way, likely where they got the idea to name the Land-Gods.
I appreciate what your channel does. Good work sir. Thanks for the content. Can you do more longer videos? I really enjoy having one that’s long enough for me to play though out the day at work/listen to on the way home. Basically a video game podcast!
You missed out on a pretty important moment, when aloy first meets hakaro she challenges him and asks why she shouldn't just kill him and take what she wants, and he gets her to back down. He's one of the few people who challenge her in a non-physical way and wins.
its the starting armor (@meromorphic missed that as well) . the inventory text mentions its power supply ran dry. quite a clever way to maintain continuity and solving the issue of overpowered gear. guerrilla games really nails this aspect with the skill tree as well as you start with most skills from zero dawn
Great Video!! Man! The waves in the beaches... everytime I've walked by I had to stop and watch them... it's AMAZING how it looks! I think that we share the same view on the game, and it was nice to see a lot of things that I missed... by far its my favourite IP.... Again.. GREAT video!
it is not one of the best virtual Earthly waters graphics and physics out there in another video game's. but it is a start at least for guerrilla with this 2nd game of this franchise. sadly, still a lot of cons for this supposed sequel. which irritates me still. need All aerial GAIA units to be mountable for example!
The Horizon games are most definitely underrated. It sucks that both came out around the same time as 2 other huge games that were massively popular that I personally ended up luke-warm on. Yeah that's right, I hold this series way higher than Botw or Elden Ring (or any souls slop for that matter)
This game ranks among my top games, and one of the very few on the list in the past 20 years. I very rarely pre-order games but i did for forbidden west and will when the 3rd one comes out. I look forward to the third chapter in the epic tale. I am scared of how they will handle the death of lance reddick. He brought a life to sylans that would be hard to have another actor emulate. but at the same time if they just write the character off i think it would be a disservice to the character growth Lance portrayed for sylans by the end of the second game. If the third game starts and they explain his absence as he left earth to go start a new humanity on some other planet never to be heard from again, I will be extremely sad at the loss of potential and wasted memory.
For me personally the best game ever and I loved skyrim and elden ring.. Gameplay, lore, story line, game mechanics are top noch. For Horizon 3 I would wish for parrying in melee fights, but other than that the game already has everything I could ask for
Oh yeah, this is one of the greatest games ever made. The item selection Mechanic is fresh, combat is fluid and fun, exploration and game mechanics are well thought and fun. With the other. First party titles it's definitely worth getting a PS five.
I really enjoyed this video. The format reminded me a great deal of Whitelight's Death Stranding video, and after watching that one I picked up the game for myself shortly afterwards and really loved it. I don't own a playstation, but if I did I would definitely pick up Horizon after watching your review. Also I really felt that part about the water, it's very pretty! :)
There's no mention of raiders or anything like that. Just that she ran into trouble and lost her gear. Varl: "I noticed you're traveling light these days." Aloy: "Yeah. I ran into some trouble on the way here and lost a lot of my gear." As many times as I've restarted the game, for whatever reason each time, I've never heard Aloy say specifically how she lost her gear. Only that she ran into some trouble. Unless it's somewhere in the dialogue and I keep missing it?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is my all time favorite game overall, but both Horizons are a very close second, and are probably my favorite world/lore to explore. I can't wait for the third game!
The reason why GAIA had to be present at GEMINI was because HEPH was too big to be carried in the GAIA kernel storage device Aloy used for the other subordinate functions, it would not go willingly without a fight and had malicious code that needed to be removed manually. Trying to contain it in a mobile device akin to the one GAIA was in would run the risk of it escaping on transit back to the base as well. In which it would most certainly remove the omega clearance override from its code, as it did with the alpha clearance override. The merge had to be done on site. Which sadly ran the risk of being assaulted by the zeniths. The zeniths meanwhile had access to more advanced technology and could move HEPH without the risk of it breaking containment. I mean HEPH is nothing compared to the size of NEMESIS for example.
I have to add just for the record that I didn't have any bug on PS5 and when I look at reports....🤫 It was rare on PS5 and those were mostly implemention of available visual improvements and difference between PS4 and 5 is very noticeable but if I played it on PS4 i would be still Amazed how it even runs and I appreciate how it works on PS5 and it is already amazing using older Mesh compiler and old ways for VFX which are now can do in comparison like Dreams on PS5 compared to PS4 , it's great but it's not about raw power but another way of achieving more following EU power consumption Law and use 210 to 280W in the pic of This Gen Hardware, Big publishers asked for best solution for making games Mashine in the name of all major Studios and they got it which you can see on the X exclusives how limited they are in Ambitious Projects but it's about being happy, honestly and I didn't get Messages from other Media sources other than PlayStation.... Detroit Become Human exist because PlayStation supported Development and Game came like it is way ahead it's time and reviews were bad while Game put players in the center of problem that are just beings to happening....it is what it is and like HFW did amazing sequel TLOU also shows how Humans behave in War and because I whiteness 10 years of War of my childhood I had to realize very young that in War there's no Heroes and it's horrifying so Ragnarok came in....War is horrifying and sense of humiliation is unspeakable, it's best I could describe how it looks and what is War and it's like PlayStation is only source that is speaking about us Honestly and there is 150 to 200 millions of us who were faced with some difficult topics but also information about the future...we think it's all the PlayStation Universe but he can't even know or ask WHO, but he also thinks about it while working hard on his sequel. Just for the record 🪬 Life is Beautiful
Horizon Forbidden West seriously ruined my gaming by raising the bar so high that most games could not jump. >1,000 hours in it already, and counting. And I still didn't harvest everything from it.
I didn't play H:FW did they added transmog option to gear, or not yet? I wish i could use looks i like and use gear i need for combat purposes, i played in one armor for whole first game because all other armor looked silly and not good looking.
i play this game currently on pc, bought it w few days ago. I realy like it but the skill system is not that complex and there are not so many build varients. But the gameworld is so nice and the combat is fun. Overall is a great game
The enemys are good, the new weapon is not. The map is incredible, the story is not. The first game was about protecting your home from a threat and at the same time unraveling plots and the scheme of an evil AI hellbent on humanity's destruction well after an apocalyptic event. The second one is continuing that journey but this time needing to fight against a bunch of stereotypes and your genetic donors ex lesbian lover who plans to kidnap you because the second clone doesn't have your confidence, oh and they're only back because the AI they fed all their negativity is trying to kill them, so they are being hunted by their collective ego. The second one isn't as good story-wise and it really affects the game. Not to mention the guy who caused all of this is killed off screen by a random joe.
First off this games plot is more so about aloy learning to trust people and not look down on them as weak and it won’t be much different from the first game because it’s the second game the “bridge” of a trilogy. Secondly aloy wasn’t kidnapped because of Beta she was kidnapped because she thought that aloy was still Elisabet instead of her own person she wanted another reminder of the past that she had with her, she didn’t want to move forward and the Zenith loosing their home to themselves making their own catastrophe is such a clever way to show us that we often doom ourselves out of our own greed and insecurity. I believe the whole point of the Zenith is to show Aloy what happens to people who aren’t true to themselves and only look out for themselves.
I'm so glad they fixed the facial expressions during dialogue. I tried to play zero Dawn for hours and loved the work but loathed dialogue because it ripped me out of the world and be more critical.
Broooo i cheated so bad with that stillsands tallneck damn i miss not being able to have done that mechanic😪 i literally just swooped in on my sunwing and overrode it even tho it was telling me to repair it, it just let me?
I am surprised that you didn't mention the shard paywall at the arena, which made it not worth the hassle for me. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game as much as you did, but a few attempts of the easiest challenge with insufficient gear set me back about as much as buying a new weapon, which is why I ended up lowering the difficulty to complete the harder challenges after I finished the game, just for completeness sake. However, the worst part was the challenges with set gear, which forced you to use items you may have avoided because you didn't like them. I managed to complete the whole first set apart from the Slitherfang with set gear, that was just way too annoying. Considering that every attempt basically cost me about 30 minutes' worth of shard collecting, it lost all meaning to me. But not to talk all bad about it, I really enjoyed the gameplay loop, the story and all the side content, so much even that I even went for 100% completion of both the main game and the DLC.
ReGloss almost didn't make it to a year - both Ao (the blue lady) and Raden(the black and white haired one) thought heavily about graduating. Raden because of imposter syndrome and some very gross comments about her content, which leans heaviky in education and zatsuing. Raden is an apprentice rakugoka and ex-art curator and teacher. She also admits to being addicted to gambling, was a smoker, and is a drinker. Ao kun is a Johnny Bravo type, and her actor is apparently legitmately handsome, and some fans don't appreciate that a lot of the girls are drawn to her in real life. She got Marine flustered and Sora would kind of tease her a bunch during 5th fes and after. Ao said she and Suisei spoke a lot and that helped get her through the tough spots, and she passed that on to Raden who was also convinced to stay. Raden is a unique vtuber streamer and is an amazing storyteller and if she graduated hololive would have lost a streamer who may help start a new trend. Ao is a ball of sunshine that, despite her girlfailure ikemen bit is seemingly so sweet and tries her hardest to spread that to everyone - outside of Ririka who is decently fluent in English, she's willing to collab with the English talents as much as they want even with the language barrier. Oh, and Kanade is legitimately a cracked singer, Banchou is one of the absolute best dancers in Holo, as well as a great singer in her own. Ririka is a capable leader despite her weirdly incompetent persona on stream. I want ReGloss to succeed if only to prove that these women belong in Holo and hopefully beyond as a legitimate pop group.
As you talked about her having been looted by Raiders... yes it's wierd, but what about her Shield Weaver armor? i think it's wierd that it just randomly doesn't function anymore.
Wasn't the shield weaver experimental, even then it's a few millennia old and she'd been getting a lot of use out of it. Weird sure but not out of the question
@@isdrakon9802 Of course not out of question, but it's kinda strange that the shield, you know, when you were hit by a machine, it would blink red and beep? and reboot itself with that pretty cool sound? that's what i miss in Forbidden west, it's like, she must have lost some kinds of core mechanism, or the devs didn't think on adding it in the second game
It was a proyotype that Aloy deconstructed and then added to her armor. Batteries ran out, and also HEPH learned to nerf it as early as the first game.

Idk but After playing through the 3rd play through of zero dawn at ultra hard (for some cosmetics) I see that forbidden west was able to improve more upon its prequel like from the ammo type And the skill and the combat they have done some extraordinary work on the sequel but i do’t like the story of forbidden west as zero dawn did Hope they continue to improve on their work Edit: i hope when it’s on pc they have some cool mods like some kind of cape or stealth robe Edit2: i’m 30 minutes into the video and they have the trip caster lay down traps for you rather than u lay down the trap manually ? Nah they smoking something here

32:47 I thought the climbing mechanics were a lot more clunky and just kind of bad cause it’s like she doesn’t move correctly unless she’s jumping or using big movements which makes the smaller fine getting to certain ledges and places just bad and kind of annoying, but that’s just my experience in the 15 hrs I have

Last thing I remember was something about derivatives, and then everything afterwards is a blank.
@@thesewinggeekmiri9029 Mind you asking? Haha I would love to elaborate. So the kind of math you cover uptil like calc is very rote formulaic. Once you get into proof-based mathematics does the real kind of mathematics begins. Here you are more interested into seeing the *how* of maths rather than *what* of the maths. A very simple example would be to prove that the derivative of e^x is e^x using the limit definition of derivative. A bit more honest example would be, "Show that an increasing function is differentiable almost everywhere". A true Graduate level example will be something like, "Show that every compact operator is a norm-limit of finite-rank operator" (ofc a little bit mumbo jumbo but this is to underpin that math at higher levels is very less about formulas to the extent my solutions are usually 3 pages of paragraphs in English with little formulas in between). The kind of mathematics I am doing is mostly related to fluid mechanics and the Euler equations. These are equations that describe the flow of water and we try to study what kind of properties would the solutions satisfying the equations have: do solutions even exist (there is a million dollar prize to show this for a little bit harder question), are there more than one, are they differentiable, can we approximate them etc etc.
Alright, I have to simply say: elden ring does NOT look like ds3. The engine is their own, and while bluepoint did a good job prettying demon's souls, more care should've gone into making the gameplay more streamlined. It still plays like a game from the ps3 era, and not like ds1 even. The focus should be gameplay.

I've played both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, in sequence, for more than 10 times, in various difficulty settings, used different play strategies and every time the games rewarded me with little bits that playing the previous times didn't. I love the graphics, the story, the music, the mechanics of the game, every little bit of it that make it what it is: the greatest gaming expirience I ever had. Thanks.
See if Varl had never shaved his beard, Erik would have seen it and said a man with a beard that glorious shouldn’t be killed and then would have spared him. In fact they’d make Varl the leader of Far Zenith’s
I absolutely love this game. I always have fun with it. Thanks for making this video.
Your love of this game and series is so refreshing. I absolutely love them, but there's a lot of hate out there. Also, love that this isn't just a summary video, you've done an awesome job providing information where necessary, while analysing and discussing the content perfectly. I'd love to see more of these.
This game is an absolute masterpiece, one of the best game I ever played, and I’ve been playing video games for over 30 years now
And even though the game sold fairly well and got fairly good reviews, I still think it is massively underrated
The amount of work, passion, talent and generosity that was put into this game is stunning
Even before Rost says goodbye, Aloy asks "see you back home in a few days?"
Aloy's gear was not taken by bandits, Aloy says I've run into a bit of trouble along the way, lost most of my gear" No bandits were mentioned.
Bandits could've been that trouble though.
My dog, Leia, made her audio debut in this video at 26:09
She wanted me to tell everyone to like, comment, subscribe, and join my Patreon.
Awesome video! Makes me actually want to play a video game!
I love finding your channel finally someone that is as crazy as me about horizon zero dawn and forbidden west :D
23:41 "male characters" c'mon, people fall in love in Aloy regardless of gender lol. Petra is right out there
Fair point. Lmao. She is attractive to everyone
there were even organic striders (horses) to be available. mentioned 'coop', etc.
Things flowed so well and boi what a rollercoaster that was
So agree for me I can't even describe how good this game is because I am in love with this game. best series in the world
the fact that this game, the best looking game of this gen, rums so smoothly with barely any bugs, that's proof of the care an dedication the devs put in it! and the you have other releases with awful optimisation selling for 75€ ...
1:31:06 ... I'm Hispanic so to me Ted Faro always sounded like "lighthouse"... I also got surprised when I realized it was meant to be Pharaoh.
I appreciate what your channel does.
Good work sir. Thanks for the content.
Can you do more longer videos? I really enjoy having one that’s long enough for me to play though out the day at work/listen to on the way home.
Basically a video game podcast!
Masterclass video 🫶
It's criminal you aren't sitting on 100k subs. Also damn this is a fantastic format
I agree.
At least we commented and did our part.
You missed out on a pretty important moment, when aloy first meets hakaro she challenges him and asks why she shouldn't just kill him and take what she wants, and he gets her to back down. He's one of the few people who challenge her in a non-physical way and wins.
14:07 Me when I played Forbidden West: Where's my Shield Weaver Guerrilla?
its the starting armor (@meromorphic missed that as well) . the inventory text mentions its power supply ran dry. quite a clever way to maintain continuity and solving the issue of overpowered gear. guerrilla games really nails this aspect with the skill tree as well as you start with most skills from zero dawn
Thank you for existing, what a great video
Fantastic video. This is a beautiful and amazing game.
The Horizon games are most definitely underrated. It sucks that both came out around the same time as 2 other huge games that were massively popular that I personally ended up luke-warm on.
Yeah that's right, I hold this series way higher than Botw or Elden Ring (or any souls slop for that matter)
Best game I've played in a long time
This game ranks among my top games, and one of the very few on the list in the past 20 years.
For Horizon 3 I would wish for parrying in melee fights, but other than that the game already has everything I could ask for
I can't wait to play this again on PC. Just have to wait a few more days...
I love Aloys look she is 100% real. That is what is so attractive about her, plus i love redheads
My man!
yes it does. i am in love with both and the dlc's. i have not fully finished FW so i still have some ways to go.
I loved this game, and I really enjoyed your analysis.
There's no mention of raiders or anything like that. Just that she ran into trouble and lost her gear.
Varl: "I noticed you're traveling light these days."
Aloy: "Yeah. I ran into some trouble on the way here and lost a lot of my gear."
As many times as I've restarted the game, for whatever reason each time, I've never heard Aloy say specifically how she lost her gear. Only that she ran into some trouble.
Unless it's somewhere in the dialogue and I keep missing it?
This time..it's cherry flavored
I wouldn't mind climate change so much if it were blueberry flavored
Horizon Forbidden West Best open world game
The game is a great time! Thank you for this 😊💯
I love this game so much!!!!!!!!!! It’s my favorite PlayStation series!
Master lecture. Congratulations! Thank you. 🙏🏻😊
Great video dude 👍🏼 I love these long video essays just like luke stephensons does it
Thank you for giveing me this as for some reason everyone acts like it is the worst thing since the emoji movie.
I had a weird crossover dream with elements of Dune, Star Citizen, and Horizon lol
Me finding out where that one random Genshin colab came from.
I had the same feeling - "Faro" didn't click with me until that same moment.
Bro can’t be dissing the Utaru armor like that 😭
Great video bro 👍🏽
ok seriously how are you not more popular. one sub from me
I have to add just for the record that I didn't have any bug on PS5 and when I look at reports....🤫 It was rare on PS5 and those were mostly implemention of available visual improvements and difference between PS4 and 5 is very noticeable but if I played it on PS4 i would be still Amazed how it even runs and I appreciate how it works on PS5 and it is already amazing using older Mesh compiler and old ways for VFX which are now can do in comparison like Dreams on PS5 compared to PS4 , it's great but it's not about raw power but another way of achieving more following EU power consumption Law and use 210 to 280W in the pic of This Gen Hardware, Big publishers asked for best solution for making games Mashine in the name of all major Studios and they got it which you can see on the X exclusives how limited they are in Ambitious Projects but it's about being happy, honestly and I didn't get Messages from other Media sources other than PlayStation....
FZ vs the C.B corp.
of course, GA era C.B corp has the advantage of star System wide offensive methods, technological, etc anyways.
your eyes are beautiful. you really elevated your look with the new hairstyle in recent vids
As a note on performance, the 60fps mode natively renders way below 1440p but it's upscaled up to 1440p, while the 30fps caps out at 4k
Horizon Forbidden West seriously ruined my gaming by raising the bar so high that most games could not jump. >1,000 hours in it already, and counting. And I still didn't harvest everything from it.
I wonder if there’s an actual person named Ted Faro in the world today. The name alone makes me mad.
HZD and this games were best
I didn't play H:FW did they added transmog option to gear, or not yet? I wish i could use looks i like and use gear i need for combat purposes, i played in one armor for whole first game because all other armor looked silly and not good looking.
They did! I didn’t even knew they were planning to do this, was surprised to see the option when I booted up the game recently
i play this game currently on pc, bought it w few days ago.
Great video. Can’t wait to play this in 2025 when it comes to pc 😢
Expect it to come to PC in 2024.Q1-Q2.
23:55 Good lord that is just 110% just mainlining the “You should smile more” gross sexist attitude

idk what the hecc ur talking about, I'm not watching the screen but I'm here for the entire 2 hour thing 😌
oof I must pause at the 1:30 mark 🥲 but I'll be back, did you register that, analytics?
Indeed. What the hell, guerrilla? *(**01:49:07**).*

After playing through the 3rd play through of zero dawn at ultra hard (for some cosmetics)
I see that forbidden west was able to improve more upon its prequel like from the ammo type
And the skill and the combat they have done some extraordinary work on the sequel but i do’t like the story of forbidden west as zero dawn did
Hope they continue to improve on their work
Edit: i hope when it’s on pc they have some cool mods like some kind of cape or stealth robe
Edit2: i’m 30 minutes into the video and they have the trip caster lay down traps for you rather than u lay down the trap manually ? Nah they smoking something here
finnaly, I play on pc. even though I knew, still hate what they did for varl. so sad.
Shout out to Ashley Burch. She does an amazing job in this game.
Also, I beg to differ about the underwater quest. It's not fun. None of the underwater quests are fun. I've never played a game that's figured out how to make underwater quests fun.
Funny, a lot of people have that as their favorite, probably cause it’s visually stunning and had the best side characters though
32:47 I thought the climbing mechanics were a lot more clunky and just kind of bad cause it’s like she doesn’t move correctly unless she’s jumping or using big movements which makes the smaller fine getting to certain ledges and places just bad and kind of annoying, but that’s just my experience in the 15 hrs I have
If only Spider-Man 2 had put in half the effort HFW did in regards to expanding its systems... One can only dream

Is the channel name "meromorphic" a reference to something?
Yup, nothing super deep tho. My background is Physics. In grad school I did a complex mathematics class and learned about Meromorphic type functions. Just thought the name sounded cool. 😅🤷
@@Meromorphic I see xD I am currently doing a Math PhD and was definitely surprised to see "meromorphic" on an HFW video. Very cool video btw, and glad to see a STEM person loving this game!
@@Meromorphic huh, I just assumed it was a portmanteau of somekind, or had to do with the triple-mountain logo (which, speaking of, I still can't tell if it's a penguin face, or 2 circles with 3 mountains/ tents/ triangles in the middle. @@alex1stamford779 if you don't mind me asking, what kind of Math? It's been forever since I stepped foot in a college Math class that didn't involve asset depreciation or Present Value/ Future Value formulas.
I am all for talking about the beauty of many of the modern games like forbidden west, but not to the detriment of games that have fantastic gameplay that do not "look pretty" enough. The focus should be gameplay.
No McGonagall joke?! Shame on you sir
