We just remodeled our media center and made this awesome floating desk and wall mounted a 4K TV! All wires are hidden behind the wall and under the desk! Leave any questions below! Thank you for watching!
I imagine trying to do this in cinder block or concrete walls would be near impossible or at least a huge pain in the rear. Thanks for watching Mike. Sorry it's long video but I wanted to show all the steps.
I thought about installing another ethernet wall plate underneath the desk so I could hide those wires but the installation wore me out! I may have my friend install another power outlet under the desk which would we cool. Thanks for the great ideas I appreciate it! If I do update the wires I will post a video on it! Thanks for watching buddy!
Holy cow! you are one brave guy using table saw for miter cuts using a fence!! Thankfully your guard kept the cut pieces from flying to your face. Nice desk though! you probably did not need to use the anchors if you used a pocket hole screw onto your back 2x4 piece. you already had 2 screws on a stud towards the front of those two pieces if I'm not mistaken :)
Thank you for the kind comments and I'm glad you liked our desk install. We post 1 to 3 videos per week so make sure you have notifications turned on! Thank you for watching our channel!
I'm not a professional carpenter like I said in the beginning of the video. This is how I made my built in desk. There are 100s of ways to make a built in. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it.

Looks great! Would be cool if you’d hide the power and Ethernet cords as well.

My walls are not perfectly straight. How do you make the top of the desk fit perfectly when the side walls are not?
Can you come to the highlands in Scotland and build my floating desk please 😂
I'm on my way! Lol! Thank you for watching!!
You don’t need holes. Just don’t attach it flush to the wall. Have a little gap. Way better for the cords.
That is an option but I like the desk flush against the wall. It's just clean look. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
Why are you messing with the extra 2x4? Just use L brackets.
