Dear Mr Patina. I've watched many of your restorations to my absolute joy. This one that I have just watched reminded me of what an excellent job you do, not just in the restoration, but in the filming, the photography and not least, the magical humour. You take a worn out mechanics tool, and turn it in to a work of art in the visual and physical aspect. The ratchet spanner has also now become an object of beauty. But it always was. You have released that beauty and the design.
There is superb work here at every level. Engineering, film making, photography and story telling.
    Well done.

Nice job as always. Now, let's get down to serious business for a second... or two.
I would like to point out the astonishing achievement in the technical drawing for a start. I mean, let's face it, although he had two hands and had been taught fine drawing and painting techniques growing up, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry drew a square, pretended to the spoiled little prince it was a box and that in it laid a sheep. Your little hand drew all that all by itself, not forgetting the sun, I'm impressed!!!
And if that were not already enough, after your fine restoration work, you made a mummy lift weight....
I shall only say : "hats off!"

Yeah I understand. But it was a massive drill chuck once and that said it was pretty hard. But still millable, so a little bit more hardness wouldn’t have been bad 😉

Another fine job by Mr. P!👍👍 This is the site where the resto item usually ends up looking good-as-new but certainly more refined. I like the attention given to detail, removing casting marks, softening sharp machining edges, polishing and plating areas that manufacturing companies might have thought about.., but chose to overlook.
A simple tool nonetheless with very few moving parts, but a simple tool given the Rolex / Cartier restoration treatment. The end result is always..., "This Is How It Should've Looked When It was Made"
Keep up the great videos and content....,
Now go and clean your filthy antiquated torque wrench so we can see the numbers!! lol
