I like that you liked it!
Thank you for you posts...they show the world how beautiful and authentic my country is! ...and hopefully foreigners are going to come visiting it more often...good advert guys! Thanks!
Everywhere in Europe it was like this before, maybe until WW2(or at least those times), but it disappeared, especially in the Western countries due to technological advancement and a forward civilization! Too bad!!
To be honest it makes me smile because there, the true values and meaning of life were lost. What for you is so amazing, extraordinary or from" another world" (like seeing cows, or horses, or a Sheppard crossing a country road with his sheep, or people busy with their simple daily life) for us is the day-to-day activity. And I hope it will never change! We have something unique, and I am glad you have appreciated it!
Oh, one more thing: Transylvania, on the map that you showed, was a part of the Habsburg Empire (later known from 1867 till its fall in 1918, as the Austro-Hungarian Empire) ...not Hungarian Empire!
Come back again " city people"! :)

century AD., seems tendentious and improbable, for the Romans' withdrawal
from [modern] Rumania ([in] 270) and the appearance of the Vlach states are separated by a millennium in which the country was the property of Slav and nomad and which is devoid of all evidence of Roman survival. Almost certainly the Vlachs came from the western Balkans."
These words are aptly corroborated by the French historians Pierre George and Jean Tricart in their book: L’Europe Centrale: - Peuples de I’Europe centrale au XIe siicle)

It's funny how you're so amazed with the small towns, farms and animals... There's a lot of that in the US, you know...
I was an exchange student in WA and OR in 1987, always in small towns, and I was in a farm for a week during Spring Break, in a very small town in Oregon, called Hereford (pop. 35).
Had to wake up at 6am every morning, 'cause the freaking cows can't eat at noon, as you might know... They have to eat at 7am! Sooooo..... Freezing cold, riding on a tractor and feeding hay to the rows of cows following us. Oh, and I also helped deliver a calf at 5:30am!! Surrounded by coyotes that wanted to eat the calf and the cow... And probably us too! I got the whole farm experience package there!!
Anyway, here in Brazil, part of my family comes from a small town. Well, now it isn't that small anymore...
But I used to go there with my grandparents every school vacation (July & December/January). So, I'm pretty used to small towns, farms and animals, even though I was born and raised in Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro, a city of over 12 million people in its metropolitan area.
Anywho..... I'm planning a trip through Europe and Romania is one of the countries that surprised me the most! I also found some amazing and unexpected places in Norway, Iceland, Turkey and Scotland.
And of course all the obvious ones, like France, Greece, England, Italy, etc... A lot of cool places to visit!! Europe has more than 50 countries!!

Howdy y'all . I just stumbled across your channel subscribed. I wasn't even searching for anything on Romania, but got my attention because I was interested in buying an affordable property south of the border in Bulgaria because everyone says there are affordable everything in Bulgaria, so now that I have stumbled across you guys in Romania I am wondering how affordable things are in Romania in comparison to Bulgaria and other countries in the region. Have you guys been to Bulgaria yet ?

I live in other city from Romania (south area).. but I did said to myself.. if I am to move from my native city.. Brașov will be one of my top choices.
There are a few other beautiful cities too (Oradea is gorgeous for example).. but my parents are in south so if I go to Brașov.. I won't be (kinda) too far from them (driving wise). Brașov is also kinda in the middle of the country and you can visit other areas or cities around (like Sighișoara, Sibiu or Cluj.. all beautiful).. a bit more easy.

I studied Geography and Geomorphology and those hills look an awful lot like an old landslide. We call those "Glimee" which roughly translates to landslide. Basically it's a pleistocene-holocene landslide that formed them. If you check the sattelite map of the are you can even see the relief of how they formed.

it's amazing you guys got to do this. A good portion of the population still lives in the countryside and you'd be hard pressed to find one of us yong'uns who doesn't have at least one grandparent/great-grandparent in the countryside :) It's a hard life - most people only have a little land they work and try to live off of, but it's also a very beautiful, healthy lifestyle, that's slowl being lost as more of the younger people are moving into cities. I do dare you to find better tasting vegetables than in Romania :D
