Vantrue s1 Pro fits nicely between the front mirror & the Eyesight safty monitors. The N4 & Pro have the same STARVIS 2 camera systems quality. 1 is 2 camera the n4 has a interior cam that I wouldn't want.
My Viofo A229 has been humming along pretty well. Seems like for the most part it's all the same sensor so just pick whatever form, shape or warranty you prefer and go with that
As a number, 2.7 is smaller than 4. However, I'd much rather a proper 2.7k, with a good sony starvis sensor, rather than a cheaper interpolated 4k. Just because something says 4k, does it actually mean 4k? Even if it did, is the footage better in vehicular contexts compared to Vantrue products? While a 4k camera may produce a better camera, for the most part, and what is sold on Amazon, I truly believe that the Vantrue dashcams are a better option over most of the countless options. There's a video online where someone compares a gopro to the vantrue n4 pro, and while they are both expensive units, I feel it provides objective evidence that the gopro solution can be beat. The gopro is a wonderful camera and better for many things, but I wouldn't go out and say that it is the best option now - I did think so until I saw the comparison video. th-cam.com/video/lzdxCOvPq5Q/w-d-xo.html Hopefully that video makes you love your n4 more...
Yeah it's usually 4k. The n4 pro is almost 900MB for 3mins of video. Blow it up on a 4k monitor and you will see. Of course it's not gonna display 4k on its own screen or your phone.
Gopros are awful in quality in low light. The ventrue 4k and the Stavis2 sensor destroy gopros from 2.7 to 4k my friend especially at night. I have a gopro 9 and 10 and mini the only time it takes good video is in 5k on the brightest day with a ton of adjustments. The imagine sensors in gopro are to small so they need to be insane bright to work well. Also the software on gopros is also terrible. Vantrue software needs work as well and can get annoying but generally work less buggy. The only thing I like about gopro software is the basic editing. I have over 500 dollars in gopro accessories and regret it 😂
that would be the perfect dash cam 😃... unfortunately Gopro is notorious for overheating... durability baking in a car all day would be a concern.. but perhaps one day 😃
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD How is GoPro battery life? I would be happy not having wires and don't mind recharging. A wrap or case to disguise it if being used to monitor a parked car would be helpful.
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROADno it would be a horrible dash cam due to the small light sensor and the lack of good lens options due to fixed focal length lens, and small sensor limit its ability to take high-quality photos and video in most situations. You are right about one thing they over heat bad and the 10 will legit shut down after 35mins. Gopro is the only company I've seen that makes quite amazing accessories that are very robust and very good quality but so behind in video and UI software quality.

Thanks for the info. Keep Grinding ✌🏾👍🏾
Nice video, have you tried the Voice command system on your unit to see if the commands works,I'm having a problem making mine to work on my unit.
I wonder can I point the camera at myself and vlog - Spielberg style?🤔
some versions have an interior cam if you want to do that sort of thing 😉

it would be epic if gopro could make a legit dashcam. Honestly these typical dashcams all look the same as far a quality goes...

What are the plastic shields that came in the box and that look like cell phone display protectors? Did you use them?
those are temp mounts... use them if you don't want to mount permanently

can you use a goprp as a dash camera?
